Open Bike Shop is an absolute gem in the world of cycling, and Steve is undoubtedly the master behind its success. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in expert hands.

Steve's expertise in fine-tuning bicycles is truly unparalleled. It's as if he can fine-tune a bike with his eyes closed! His passion for cycling and meticulous attention to detail shine through in every adjustment he makes. Whether it's tweaking gears, aligning brakes, or perfecting the ride feel, Steve's skill and precision ensure that every bicycle performs at its absolute best.

What sets Steve apart is his versatility when it comes to bicycle maintenance and repair. No matter the issue, whether it's a minor adjustment or a major overhaul, Steve tackles it with the same level of enthusiasm and expertise. His depth of knowledge and hands-on experience make him the go-to guy for any bicycle-related problem.

Beyond his technical prowess, Steve's friendly demeanor and genuine passion for helping cyclists are truly commendable. He takes the time to listen to your concerns, understand your needs, and provide personalized solutions that exceed expectations.

In summary, Open Bike Shop is a haven for cyclists, and Steve is the ultimate wizard when it comes to bicycle maintenance and repair. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone in need of top-notch service and expertise. With Steve at the helm, you can trust that your bicycle is in the best possible hands.

I never write reviews, positive or negative, but I'll make an exception for Steve and his shop. I've been taking my bikes here for quite some time (and this review is long overdue) and you can tell that Steve is passionate about what he does. He will always do things in your interest and not what is more profitable for himself. In the past I went to some places for a simple 30$ adjustment and they will try to up-sell everything ... "you need this or you need that". With Steve you know that it will never happen. He will do what's needed for your bike. He might point out things that you might want to keep an eye on, but that's it. I highly recommend this shop if you have any small or big issue with your bike. Steve will fix it. Thanks Steve for your help over all these years

I took my bike in to have a tire changed and trued. I got my bike back with scratches on the wheel. The rear nuts were scratched and the cover was missing and the brakes were squeaking and he said my rotor was bent. I rode my bike in there with no noise..I've been working on bicycles for 50 years... this is an ebike. The bottom line is TERRIBLE work. Never go back! So disappointed! Brand new bike with scratches on the wheel.

I was in dire need of fixing my son's bike seat and finding a new shop to replace Jones. Already a couple of stores had given my wife a couple of stories why it would cost so much. I wasn't sure if this would be an easy fix or not, but on the phone the guys at Open Road Bicylce Shop were very friendly and easy going about handling my (what were probably) stupid questions. When I brought the bike in, they took a look and saw it was an easy fix and fixed it on the spot

I found our new bike shop, thank goodness shops like this still exist

Steve is the best. His prices are more than reasonable and he is quick with his repairs. I've used a few bike shops, but he's the one that I always come back to.

I've been taking my bicycle to Steve for the past 7-8 years or so. From his old location off of Sierra Madre to now the newer one on Lake Ave. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and only charges for the necessary maintenance or fixes. Also, he had a nice selection of jerseys which I've purchased from him in the past. Look no further for your bike needs than Open Road.

I've been going here for many years, but was just reminded last week about why I like working with Steve, the owner/mechanic. I stopped in for a small part (presta valve core) and expected to pay $5-$10 for it. Steve went to a bin, picked one out, and handed it to me. I had money in hand to pay him, but he said to just take it. I told him I wanted to do my part to help him stay in business, and he said that this was just part of doing business for him. Well, I think his strategy is working -- it inspired me to write this review! He is knowledgable and your turn-around time on a repair is going to be faster than most shops.

Steve is great! He's honest, knowledgeable, and offers more than fair prices for great service. Won't up-sell you which is very much appreciated and hard to find these days.

      Steve is amazing!!
Had brake issues with my son's electric RAD bike. Sought help from RAD bikes - they referred me to a shop in Montrose.
Bike shop in Montrose kept the bike for an extended period of time and charged me but didn't fix the issue...
Open Road Bike Shop listened to my frustrations - fixed the issue - all with Great Karma!!!
Thank you for paying it forward!
