Musicality Central

I'm so excited I found this studio. I'd been longing to get back to dancing without having to go to a regular studio and pay for a whole season and do recitals just to dance. Musicality Central nailed it with their drop in classes. They have a choreo class, an aerobics class, and a couple others. The teachers, Rishone and Susie are super cool and chill. They really push you to do your best but encourage you to do what you can and go with it. I was able to do their Halloween workshop with was learning "Thriller"! It was so fun to dress up, learn this dance after wanting to know my whole life, and laughing while doing it. Definitely check it out if you love to dance!

Musicality Central is a dance studio that offers classes in hip hop, r & b and reggae. They also offer dance aerobics if you're looking for a fun way to get your workout on. The choreographers Rishonne and Suzie are phenomenal! They always make me feel welcome and I have fun while learning the routines. They also do a great job at teaching the routines at a slower pace if needed. Classes are held weekly from beginner to intermediate and you can go instagram for the weekly schedules. You can also pay online for your classes which is very convenient. So whether you are a pro, beginner or just looking for a fun workout that will make you sweat, check out Musicality Central, where everyone is welcome!

I didn't want to write this review, because I would have loved to keep Musicality Central the well-kept secret that it is... but here is the honest truth. This is the best dance experience that Buffalo has to offer. Whether you've never done hip hop a day in your life or you've been dancing since age two, Musicality Central is your studio. Here's why:

There is NO PRESSURE to be anyone other than who you are. Are you brand new and have two left feet? Perfect. Are you a hip hop influencer wanting to sharpen your locking technique? Glad to have you. Do you feel self conscious about movement sometimes? YUP- join the rest of us. No matter what your skill level or where you're coming from, studio co-owners and teachers Susie and Rishone are going to meet you where you're at and create a comfortable environment right from the moment that class begins.

Speaking of Rishone and Susie, they are two of the best teachers you will ever encounter. They are committed to BOTH helping you learn as well as ensuring that you have fun. I've danced for most of my life and I have rarely experienced both of these *so* well. They have put a lot of time and energy into creating the best learning environment for students; they genuinely care about your learning, and hold themselves to a high standard of choreographing and teaching.

In addition to choreography classes where you learn hip-hop technique (at different levels of skill/experience), they also offer aerobics-type classes - like Zumba but with better choreography and music (in my opinion). You don't have to have any dance experience to enjoy these, but dancers tend to love them because it feels more like dancing than working out (it's actually both, equally... shhh).

There are flexible and affordable payment options: pay for one class at a time, buy a 5- or 10-class pack, or buy an unlimited month at a time! Save those pennies.

Musicality Central classes are consistently the highlight of my day, week, and month. You won't regret giving it a try.

Musicality Central is 2 instructors that have a very strong passion for not only dance, but also empowerment via their teaching methods.
They will push you enough that you are like "yeah idk about this" but by the end of the class you are like eeeeoooowwww i got this!!
They have a class for everyone. Susie and Rishone are also very understanding of injuries and have no problem giving modifications where needed.

I can't say enough about this duo--simply two of the finest human beings you'll ever meet. Susie K and Rishone are truly fully invested in being all that they can be, and they want the same for you too. I have taken a few hip hop exercise classes with them over the years, and participated in running club with them a bit last summer. But the bulk of my relationship with them has been through our kids. Susie and Rishone choreographed our son and daughter's hip hop group routines for a few years, and our daughter's solo last year. Watching the final products with both our kids are precious memories seared into my brain--so inspiring, and so KRUNK. Most of their business is with adult classes though. They work with both seasoned dancers and beginners, and with those like me who are more interested in the fitness side of it all. There is something for everyone. So if you're looking for personal improvement for yourself, they have a knack for helping their students of all ages and levels find meaningful growth, and bringing out the best. It's never perfect, because they know you can always dig for more. Because Susie K and Rishone always dig for more, too--even if it is fumes, there is always something left in the tank! They never expect any level of work, or discomfort, or risk, or excitement, or confidence that they wouldn't expect of themselves. They teach adult classes several days a week at a few different venues, check out their website for place and time details. Adult classes are $10 drop-in, with discounts when you buy in bulk. It's a bit pricey, but consistent with what high-quality dance and exercise classes go for these days. If you are looking to make personal improvements to your health and happiness, and stretch yourself to be better than you thought you could be, look no further. Musicality Central can definitely hook you up with all that. You'll leave sweaty and smiling every time. :-)

Whenever I'm in town, I love to take their aerobics classes because they're a great workout and I get to tap back into my dancing days from long ago. Susie and Rishonne create such an inviting atmosphere that you feel confident and welcome every time. The classes are one hour long and they post the schedule for each quarter on their website. Beyond the aerobics classes, they offer hip hop classes by abilities and offer special workshops throughout the year. So if you're looking for a place to get a workout in, shake your groove thing, and/or learn a few dance moves, definitely check out Musicality Central! You won't be disappointed.

Susie and Rishone are one of the most patient and understanding dancing instructors I've ever encountered. They not only create great dance moves for us to learn but if we are lost at any point they have no problem going over a specific part within the dance just so we could all be on the same page. Coming to Musicality Central has helped me boost up my confidence and made me learn how to relax my body to move more swiftly. Their energy and spirit is one of a kind and they will make you feel right at home

I had never taken a dance class in my life, but I love dancing for fun and I wanted to find a way to exercise and move my body that I didn't dread. I stumbled upon Musicality Central and convinced myself to sign up for a Hip Hop 4 Starters class. I was nervous that I would be way out of my league, but Susie and Rishone put me at ease right away. They create an environment that's laid back and fun but also challenges you to improve each week. I look forward to class every week now!

Susie and Rishone are great dance instructors. I have taken the Dance Aerobic classes and they are so much fun and a great cardio workout. You can take this class as a beginner with no dance experience. Those two make it a lot of fun! They always help if you need help. I have also taken the dance classes before and when I struggled they either saw it and showed the steps slower or I could ask them questions about steps. I highly recommend them!

Musicality Central has taken adult dance classes to a new level. If you've danced your entire life and want to get back into it, or if you've never danced before- they have a class for you. Whether it's choreography or dance aerobics, MC has you covered. Rishone & Susie of Musicality Central are incredible teachers who welcome everyone. Highly recommend!!
