Avoid this company! They told us on the phone that our 4 year old LG refrigerator was no longer under warranty (only 1 year warranty) and that they needed to come diagnose the problem. They charged us over $200 to "diagnose the problem" which I knew was the compressor going bad.

They then quoted us over $2500 for a repair.

After calling LG I realized that the warranty is covering this issue for 5 years for both parts and labor. Mr Appliance would not reimburse or admit guilt. Bad way of doing business.

Call your manufacturer first, these guys are crooks.

These guys are crooks. Tried to strong arm me into fixing refrigerator parts that their technician said weren't defective. Go anywhere but here.

These people are absolute crooks! Naturally they charge a diagnostic fee, which is then deducted from the service fee. That's fine. However, they diagnosed my appliance and stated in their notes ONE part was bad, but they would need to replace FOUR parts, in order to maintain the guarantee of one year for their work. THEIR NOTES EVEN SAID THIS. The ONE part is under warranty, the other three are not. So I asked them to only repair the ONE broken part that is under warranty and I will pay the labor for that. They won't do it unless they can repair all four parts, three of which are perfectly fine and separate from the broken part. And they still charged me a diagnostic fee even though THEY won't do the service I requested. Absolute crooks, go literally anywhere else.

Well of course my lovely Samsung fridge decided to give me issues after loading $250 of groceries in it. Was a Sunday afternoon so all I could do was Button it up and pray. Sent out a few requests and Mr Appliance responded Monday morning. They said they'd do there best and by 1pm they had Paul on the way to save my food, money and my mind. With todays prices on food I surely would've lost my mind if it all spoiled. Looks like its the thermostat and that will be replaced when its in. But right now Paul got the unit going.

I would never use them again. They came to my house looked at my GE washer and said I needed a motor for $850 when the washing machine cost less than $500 to start. I asked about my GE warranty and they said they cannot help with that. So why did they not mention that when I scheduled. I am out $139 for nothing and will now be calling GE (which I should have done in the first place). Additionally getting any info from the tech was like pulling teeth. He should have just said he had no idea what was wrong!!

Faat response. However, i was not informed up front of the $125 fee for a job estimate .

The technician came as agreed and completed the service. I had to call a week later because the dishwasher still didn't operate correctly. The job xost me over $200 with the service fee and the parts he ordered.

It works now, but I still struggle to get it going.

Maybe just need a new one.

Don't expect them to complete the project. After asking them to come back to finish installing the dishwasher, they stopped calling me back. I was told a manager would call. The didn't. I was told another tech would go out. They didn't.

They lied to the credit card company when I disputed the charge.

Do not use them. You will regret it.

Mr. Appliance of Salt Lake is always our go to for appliance repair. Frustrating that today's appliance are not built to last and it is nice to have a team that you can trust to give you honest advice, fair pricing and timely service.

Think very carefully before using Mr Appliance - especially if they ask you to pre-pay for a part. We needed some parts for a gas leak on our cooktop. Hired Mr appliance. After diagnosing they told us we would need to pre-pay for a $650 part. We did and then they didn't show up on the schedule appointment day. They told us they called us, but they had not. We asked for a refund which began another month of phone calls and requests. Their call-center is offshore and the husband and wife team that runs Mr. appliance is very unavailable. There are other options in Salt Lake Valley. We won't be using them again.
