Maureen's Swim Academy

After a disastrous swim lesson experience with my three year old, I tried Maureen"s Swim Academy. It's a commitment, no less than three days a week, but it is worth it. Miss Lily is the best!! My daughter looks forward to swim lessons, and is improving so much! Honestly, it makes me cry how much she is improving -- I would recommend Maureen's a 100 times over.

It is nerve racking to put your child in swim lessons. At least that was the case for us, so that is why we did a lot of research and we came to Maureen's based on great reviews and a friend's recommendation. They did not disappoint.

Maureen truly did an amazing job with this place. The parking, the pool, the temperature control, it is truly impressive.

Our son started loving the lessons, and somewhere along the line he got really afraid of floating on his back. And I mean TERRIFIED. Well, his coach made all the difference in him winning his confidence back!
He is still learning, so now we know it is different for every child and that it can take more than a month for him to learn and be safe in case of an emergency and that is ok.

Cristina, you are incredible!!! The patience, support, communication and skill you showed with our son was beyond we expected. We are so thankful to you and we will definitely be back!!

My 4-year old son had taken swim lessons on and off for about a year. Nothing was working, including private lessons. Then I found Maureen, best decision ever. She is so calm and reassuring, yet direct. 3 weeks later he LOVES the water, can safely get himself across a pool....and really misses Maureen. This is the only sport that can save your kids life, invest in it.

I contacted Maureen's swim academy after reading all the great reviews on google. Boy do i regret ever giving them my phone number...they kept calling me after i asked them several times to be taken off their call list and I had to block them from my phone. They are pushy and try to use scare tactics with their sales approach. I do not trust anyone that tries to use scare tactics. They also tell all kinds of lies about how extremely busy they are right now and about how they just want to help make sure no kid drowns...really? If you're so busy then why do you keep calling me and leaving me ridiculously long voicemails?? And if you are so concerned with saving children from drowning, then why don't you lower your prices or offer free swim lessons for the underpriviledged? Sorry but i do not do business with people who I don't trust, lie, or who don't respect me enough to take me off their call list after I have asked several times to be removed. Enough is enough!!

I live in corona and my son (4 years old) received lessons from Therese. I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards the lessons and techniques she provided for our son. She had him swimming out of her arms by lessson 3. She gained his fill trust by the end of his first lesson, which was not an easy task to do. We had two weeks with her and he is now able to float on his back for a long period of time, float on his front, and is able to do the breast stroke and flip to his back midswim. She was very patient with him and knew when he was ready to move on to the next step. I feel confident that our son knows enough about pool safety that (God forbid) if he fell in a pool he'd not only know how to get to the side of the pool, he'd know how to float and or swim to safety. He loved his lessons with Theresa. We are looking forward to having her back in our home next summer to teach him more swimming techniques and to teach out youngest to swimming, too.

Theresa, you are nothing short of a hero in our eyes. You are so amazing at what you do. I hope you have a long and successful career in teaching children to swim. How you go about your lessons are so impressive and they work! I couldn't believe how fast you got my little guy to swim. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Xoxo

My daughter recently turned 3. We live by the water and have a pool, so it seemed essential that she needed to learn to swim ASAP. Coach Q did an amazing job teaching her how to swim in less than 5 weeks! It was a great that he was able to come to the house to teach her in a comfortable environment, and we were impressed that she was able to learn so quickly (despite being a threenager, having the post-quarantine blues, and adjusting to a new sibling)! By the end, she was asking every afternoon if she was going to see Coach Q and looking forward to some "jump for joys" whenever she swam the length of our pool all by herself!

We had an excellent experience with Lena! She got my 3 yo who had a strong fear of putting her face in the water so excited to swim like a big girl. It only took two days to see a huge improvement. Now she's unstoppable! Lena had the perfect teaching style and tone for us. We will be using Lena again in the future for refresher and for our infant daughter!

I cannot put into words how incredibly happy we are with Maureen's Swim Academy. First off, We have a 3yr old daughter and a 2yr old daughter, with that being said we thought it would be a challenge to teach the girls to swim.... we are currently in our 5th consecutive week of daily swim lessons and we can't believe how well our girls are swimming!! The instructor Sebastian is absolutely wonderful with our girls. My oldest is headstrong and always in a hurry. He has slowed her down and has been so patient with her "I do it myself" personality. My 2yr old is very sensitive and wouldn't get her face wet at all! Right away she melted right in his arms and started improving after the first lesson! The girls have worked hard and Sebastian has them moving right along with their skills! Also, Maureen is absolutely the sweetest and has the best facility for swim lessons! We couldn't be happier! After our 6th week we are even signed up for more lessons! Thank you Maureen's swim academy!!!
