Great diner food with fresh Maine seafood. There's breakfast all day. The lobster mac&cheese is awesome as are the crab cakes and codfish cakes.

Ok diner. Had aces in hole breakfast plate, clam chowder, seafood stew, crab patty, Mac cheese with sausage.
Stew and chowder were good.
Breakfast was decent.
Pricy, and riding their review on the tv show pretty hard.
It's fine, but not great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kevin W.Kennebunkport, ME07Nov 20, 2023
Have been here many times over the years but have disappointed in recent visits. The past few times, we have received burnt toast, cold home fries, omelette having too many and undercooked onions as well as overpowering frozen or canned spinach.
While the waitresses are always great (friendly, prompt), the final blow occurred today with rude checkout service. The cashier didn't once acknowledge me, instead carrying on a weather and local sports conversation with the owner and a waitress. When she was done ringing me up, she tossed my card, the receipt, and the pen on the counter in my general direction, and turned to continue the conversation without ever saying a word to me. Compounding the behavior was the owner who was less than five feet away, facing in my direction as he talked but likewise not a thanks or any other words to me.

We got up early and drove from Boston to enjoy breakfast at this place. If I could give it 10 stars I would on food and service. We had the lobster benedict. The eggs and hollandaise sauce were cooked to perfection. The lobster was fresh, sweet, and succulent. We also ordered the seafood chowder to go and the waitress, who was the best waitress I'd ever had, was nice enough to pack the chowder in an ice-packed container. We also ordered biscuits and sausage gravy to go which was out of this world. When I got the chowder home and tasted it my eyes rolled up to the back of my head cause it tasted so good. It was well worth the drive to dine at this Maine Hotspot and highly recommend it to all.
Also, add the Kittery Trading post for a stop on the way home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 25, 2023
Typical diner atmosphere. Food was great and the service was quick.
The blueberry pancakes are incredible. The Maine blueberries cooked into the pancake are so good. They are so much better than you get everywhere else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 7, 2023
Good diner option but not worth a wait.
Came on a holiday morning and wait was about 30min (quoted an hour). I think 30min is tolerable, but I wouldve been unhappy if I waited an hour. There is a gift store next door to kill time, but thats not really my thing.
Lobster eggs benedict was okay. The benedict itself was really comparable to what you'd find at other places. The lobster quality was a little disappointing given that this is Maine. Maybe my expectations were high given I'd really good fresh lobster the prior day, but this tasted just like what I could get in NJ or anywhere else. It does come with a side of potato cubes which were tasty. I don't think its that much cheaper than other diners either.
Fairly large parking lot.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2024
We generally try to avoid "tourist traps" but this one you can lock me in and throw away the key! I will dream of the seafood chowder. Undoubtedly the best I've ever had and I've done a fair amount of research! Already looking into how I can recreate it from home. Standard diner fair and then all the Maine seafood your heart could desire. The menu is large and we probably could have eaten here every meal of the trip and still have options, but I'd have a bowl of the chowder every time. My only two small qualms and I don't let this affect the rating because I would 100% go back and do it again are that in a perfect world my chowder would've been a little more hot (it wasn't just me I saw others send it back but didn't wanna go that route) and when you order it to go and pay for a bowl it would be bigger than a cup. Also, the to go soups are in paper cups and don't travel great, just FYI.

Fun place to check out. There were 4 of us and we came for an early dinner at around 4:45 pm on our way to Augusta Maine. It was a Friday night but we didn't run into a long line to get a table.
The main room was the only one open on our arrival. It has an old fashion-feel to it not the shining diner one I was expecting.
The menu is very large but we were here for a particular dish that had been recommended - the Lobster Pie.
This was a large portion of lobster served with breadcrumbs, drawn butter and lemon. For whatever reason I was expecting a dish with heavy cream and various spices along with the above so I was slightly disappointed but still enjoyed the dish. Three out of the four of us picked this for dinner.
The 4th had fresh chilled lobster salad and it was very good.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1 - Feb 26, 2024
Our last Maine stop before heading home! My dad always took us to the Maine Diner during summer vacations! Still as I remember! Diner food. Waitress was super nice! Had eggs/ sausage/ home fries / toast & side of blueberry pancakes! All was pretty good and filling! Typical diner with old time photos , and counter seats , lil on the pricer side for breakfast. But it dont stop us from stopping and eating.
