My favorite groomer in Santa Monica (maybe most of L.A.)... but I haven't tried them all.
My dog Maitri, in their featured photo didn't mind coning here as she did a lot of groomers. Dogs get to run around free in fenced-in area at the front of the shop, rather than being caged (unless aggressive). They get to play and frolic with one another.

The grommets here have always done a fabulous job with Maitri, and don't price-gauge.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommend.

My dog has been scooting a lot after I brought him home from grooming here. I didn't think anything of it until I read another review here with the same issue.

My friend's cat needed a simple nail trim and we called all around town and none of the petco's or other grooming places could do it. We were so lucky to find Luckys! Not only are they super friendly and professional, they're super close, super fast, and took us without an appointment. Thank you Luckys! We'll be back.

Did a great job with our cavachon nephew's grooming. I love that they hang out cage free out front - they're not hiding anything. They were able to squeeze us in during the busy holiday season. Great service and prices are comparable to the area.

So far, so good. I've only been to this place once, but the staff was incredibly accommodating, my dog seemed very happy there, and I believe this is my new place. These guys seem to actually enjoy what they do and finished early which was a very nice surprise.I will review again when I have something more to say.

Love this place! They are always so sweet with my golden doodle and try and keep her hair long if possible. Some groomers will simply shave your dog and not let you know before hand, but not here.

There is a little play area with a fake fire hydrant where your dog can wait for you and play with other dogs which is cute.

Lucky's never disappoints. I've taken multiple dogs here and they are very thorough, diligent, and treat every dog with a lot of attention and care. Couldn't recommend Lucky's enough!

MY REVIEW TWO WEEKS AFTER MY PUP'S VISITATION. I was so angry with this grooming salon.

They shaved my dog even if I told them not to cos we will bring him to a snowy state, IT IS WINTER SEASON and he'll be needing a lot of fur on him! I know my pup is a bit matted (but can still be combed) that's why I asked for their help to untangle some parts.

They told me they will check his situation and will call me FIRST before they do anything with him!

YES THEY DID CALL ME BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE RECEPTIONIST KNEW MY DOG WAS SHAVED AF ALREADY. AND HE KEPT SAYING THAT THE LADY GROOMER (JENNY?) WILL TRIM SOME OF THE HAIR ONLY. I KEPT ASKING FOR ASSURANCE THAT THEY WILL NOT SHAVE HIM. But guess what?

When we came to pick him up, HE WAS TOTALLY SHAVED. What makes it worse is that the shaving was not even!

I was so devastated! Now, he is always freaking cold and shivering that I have to put two jackets/sweaters on him.

You guys should have known that it is winter and would not recommend to shave them especially if it is not even needed. You did not even feel sorry for us nor my dog! Instead you blamed us that I don't comb/brush my dog before i give him a bath. (Which is not even true)

We are so nice that we paid in full and even gave a tip even if it was not worth it.

You guys are not even our regular groomer, and just went to you because our regular groomer was closed that day.
So I think this is a lesson learned for me to not trust you ever again and just stick to Sparky's grooming salon.

We took our 7 month old goldendoodle in once and the cut came out well. We tried going again today (now 10 months) and they told us our appointment was not in the system. I looked back in my call logs to confirm that I had the right location and number and it was correct. The lady I spoke with apologized, but said they could not accommodate our dog for grooming, so we would have to reschedule for next week. When I asked if they could offer a discount, or something to make up for us taking time off of work to make this happen, she said no.

The dogs all wait in a waiting area despite set appointment times. Many were barking and intimidating to our dog who is extremely sociable and easy going.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I think customer service should be a priority and this didn't feel like the case at Lucky's for us.

They always take my dog when I walk-in for a nail trim. My dog has super short hair so I don't need to get him professionally groomed but all the dogs I see that come out are well groomed and trimmed nicely.
