Libby's Cafe

I just love this place! This cafe is in a Toyota Dealership but don't let that fool you- it is amazing! They have a full menu including some amazing pies for desert.

Today, I had a jalapeño popper grilled cheese sandwhich and cream of mushroom soup. It's was just absolutely Devine! I highly recommend!

Great lunch spot! It's inside Fernelius Toyota... I end up going even when I'm not getting service on my vehicle. Libby has homemade pies, quiche, various cookies, cinnamon rolls, and other sweets.

Homemade soups daily. She usually has two or three on the board. My favorite sandwich is the muffuletta. Favorite soup, butternut squash. They're great together.

There's an espresso machine and they churn out some top-notch coffee drinks. Lemon-poppyseed muffin and a double!

Lastly, they have fresh, self-serve brewed iced tea. Seems like a rare thing.

First things first, this place is indeed inside the Toyota dealership. Ol man Fernilius got a good thing going on in that lobby.

Now for the food! Def a great breakfast. Their special today was the Monte Cristo. Cost about $12. (I know, a $12 sandwich?) yeah, i was taken back by the price at first but it was well worth it. This sandwich was HUGE and put between two large thick pieces of French toast. Came with a pickle and a side of chips. Overall the sandwich was a 3.5/5. Flavor was definitely all there, had a nice texture. The only reason I didn't rank it higher is because the turkey inside was still a little cold and the cheese wasn't melted through. It's me being picky for sure but that would have made the sandwich 5/5.

Great spot to try if you're a local or vacationing like myself. Will likely come back to try their quiche!

YES, it is inside the dealership!! Don't let that fool you though, the food and service was amazing. Husband got the French toast and a side of bacon and I got the Reuben quiche. Our waitress was very friendly and we even got to meet Libby. You can tell both of them enjoy being there and the food shows it.

Really poor experience. All new staff, except Libby. Rude, disrespectful cashier. Longest wait ever for our breakfast ordered at 10:30. Almost one hour. Breakfast order was not correct & cold. I went to get another glass of water, our food sat there. Staff was certainly more involved with their Lunch carry-out orders. Really miss the wonderful atmosphere & food of the "Old" Libby's. Guess she needs to do just carry-out. We won't be back. Very disappointed.

Lesson learned: Stop being cheap asses and keep your staff on for the full shift.

The cafe is almost perfect, even if it's hidden away in the dealership. Lol. The only downside is the price. For 3 sandwiches, a kid's meal and water to drink, we spent over $40. However, the food was delicious and the service was very good.

My car broke down while on Bois Blanc Island and I had to have it towed to the toyota dealership for service. Not a great situation but my day was about to change. While I waited I decided to grab lunch here at Libby's. What a surprise! They had an amazing and unique selection of fresh food and deserts. The only thing that paralleled it was the warm and I assume smiling(masked during Covid) attitudes of the entire staff. I've worked in restaurants for 20 years and I can attest that Libby's Cafe is something special.

truly a hidden gem ! comfy and homey despite being in the middle of a toyota dealership. these toyota salesmen have it made!

What a hidden treasure this place is.. but it was packed which goes to prove that even in a Toyota/Jeep dealership that people will come and eat well ...AND stand in line for good food. Walked out with the purchase of a whole pie and will be back soon for breakfast and lunch.
