Very disappointed with this company. They packed items that were not authorized to be packed (opened bottles of liquids) and also packed items which I had set aside and told them wasn't to pack, including my car keys. Only one crew member out of the team of 7 spoke English and the others said yes when spoken to, yet did not understand what was being said to them. Very aggravating.
When they delivered my items, I asked them to unpack the boxes. The driver acted like he didn't understand and then said unpacking was not included. This was not my first time moving with the military. Unpacking is always included unless waived. I did not waive that service. The driver sent the crew out to the truck even though I asked several times to have them unpack. He eventually got them to come into the house when I got on the phone to call the scheduler. While on the call, they all left. It was late in the day and I could not get on to anyone to assist me with the issue except for a SSG in the QA/QC office. He could not get me a supervisor to assist with the issue.
I eventually found my car keys but contacted the supervisor of the crew in regards to the team not unpacking as requested. I requested that he sent them back to unpack which he did.
They returned and unpacked the boxes I need them to unpack. They also took the trash and empty boxes away. They unpacked all the boxes from the kitchen and all of my alcohol made the short trip except for an opened bottle of white Hennessey and a full sealed bottle.
I've since gone through my remaining boxes, and there is no sign of the white Hennessey. The Trinidad and Jamaican rum bottles, sake, German ice wine, Canadian ice wine, open bottle of Fireball and local red wines all made it just fine.
Along with the stolen alcohol, a few items were broken, along with my reclining couch. I'll be filing for damages on the claim.
This should've been a simple local move. Moving is already a stressful event. This team definitely added to my stress and aggravation then stole my good alcohol in the process.
I would not recommend this company. They are not worth the added stress and aggravation. Way too much foolishness to get them to do the work the Army is paying them/the company to do. Veterans deserve better!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Because I can't score them any lower. Ran across the driver of this truck a few weeks ago on the North side of 14th Street bridge in DC. First became aware of this exemplary employee when he pulled alongside my car and proceeded to unleash every raciest rant he could think of. He stopped long enough to use his extensive vocabulary of every cuss word he had in learned. All of this in early Monday morning bumper to bumper traffic. Not sure what happened to cause such a great interaction with him. At one point he actually started to unbuckle his belt and open his door when for some reason he thought differently.

If I could give them no stars I would. There are far better moving companies around. When packing our goods, they rushed and broke items, didn't complete the tagging on our items, and didn't tag high value items either. They also stole my husband's 2 good headphones. Their claims process wanted to weasel out of everything!
On their website they claim, "With professionalism, flexible product and service offerings, and a commitment to excellence, Kloke Moving & Storage is your best bet for a safe and timely move."

My move with Kloke was almost two years ago, but I decided to come and leave a review after our bed broke one night, due to improper assembly when they set it up. Instead of completely screwing in a portion of the bed frame, the mover in charge of assembling the bed, simply screwed in the center screw in the three available holes. This caused the center portion of the frame to break at about midnight, just as my wife and I were going to bed. I know this to be a matter of improper assembly because after our move, I had to email Kloke to complain about a lack of care on several pieces of furniture. As you can see from the attached photos, screws were not even completely tightened or even secure. When bringing our bed frame into our room, they allowed the frame to hit the ceiling fan (new), breaking a fan blade off and scratching the wall paint (also new). One of the movers even went so far as to completely bend a portion of our bed frame the wrong way, in an attempt to make it fit. Just as another customer stated in her review, one of the employees asked to take a beer, also while he was on shift. As we signed out, I walked in on the lead mover taking a Snapchat of himself in my living room with his feet (boots on) on the back side of my couch.
When I filled the claims forms out, Kloke dragged their feet to get my reimbursement back, despite several requests for an update. Since this seems to be the mover of choice for the DoD in the DMV area, save yourself the headache and just do a Dity move.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

GREAT delivery. Called and set up appointment. Showed up on time. Surveyed positioning of furniture. Carried to spot, unwrapped, careful and cautious.
White glove service. Polite and friendly employees.

We used Kloke Group the last move in an Army career. It was a local move of about 3 miles, but it was the last one, and on a tight time line since home sales and purchases were involved. The moving crew arrived early on the scheduled day, and worked straight through the day, stopping only for lunch, then getting back to work. They packed the whole house up in 2 days, and delivered on the next.
The delivery went smoothly, and the owner even helped us make changes to a piece of furniture we bought that would not fit in the new house. My Kloke Group Experts were exactly that! They moved precious, one of a kind furniture for me with tremendous care and respect. Although I know this furniture was heavy, these gentlemen smiled and professionally worked together as a team to ensure a successful outcome.

VERY DISORGANIZED. NOT RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER INQUIRIES.
Brought a truck that was too small and couldn't fit all my stuff. Said they'd come back in the morning. Heard nothing next day until I called multiple times. At approx noon Dan said they were trying to get a crew out to pick up overflow items. Didn't hear anything again until I called at 4 pm. Dan called back at 4:30. Said earliest a crew would be out was 8 pm. Can home and went to dinner. Got home from dinner at 7 pm and the leftover items that were outside were gone. Presumably the movers took/stole them (I wouldn't know because I wasn't home) but other leftover items were still inside the house. Do not use them. Cannot be trusted.
They lied about when they would arrive (scheduled to arrive between 8-10 but didn't til 3),
They lied about the condition of my furniture (when confronted, said "I'm only doing my job..." sounds like policy to me)
They lied about how long the job would take (supposed to be done at 5, but was actually 8),
They lied about how many men would be used to do the loading (said 4, only had 2),
They lied about when my delivery would arrive, saying it was arriving on July 3rd. UPDATE: It is now the 12th of July, and my stuff has not yet reached its destination.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
