Q:
Is the $60 farm tour worth it or just do the free walking tour?
A:
As someone who opted for the free walking tour, I found it to be plenty. There is lots of signage and information there. But we did happen upon ppl who had just finished tour and they all seemed happy enough. Either way, they have LOTS of free… more

When in Kauai, of course you have to check out Kauai Coffee Company!
Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee is free to sample (all different types), and also available for purchase if you want something fancier. There's also a small cute gift shop where you can purchase beans for later.. like the next day.
Great pit stop if you're in the area! Pro tip: if you can before they close, they'll give you an entire 8 oz cup of their coffee sample since it'll be thrown out anyway!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Apr 5, 2024
This was such a fun little place to visit! We came on a semi-rainy day so having a cup of coffee felt kind of romantic with the rain.
Parking is plentiful as there is a huge lot. Cute photo opportunities out front with the giant rooster and coffee cup.
The gift shop is up front but if you continue on to the back area they have coffee samples and a little corner where you can order lattes and drinks for purchase. I got a latte and it was soooo good!! Note that they don't allow food or drink in the gift shop so finish it out on the deck or take the coffee and enjoy the self guided walk around the coffee farm area.
Gift shop has lots of cute stuff. I snagged myself a t-shirt and some decaf coffee to take home!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 785493199Mar 24, 2024
We didn't do the farm tour but we did stop by to try some local coffee. They have samples of their hot coffee for free. There is information of the farm and the coffee bean process if you don't do the tour. They also have a walking path through coffee plants that takes 20 minutes you can do without reservations but it was too long for our little kids.
The coffee was good, but we got iced coffee since it was hot and the traffics was backing up into town. The parking is ample and they have restrooms which is a plus this side of the island.
Service was good, the taste testing lady was nice and accommodating. Answered others questions and joked around with customers.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 24, 2024
I took an unexpected detour here with my friends and really enjoyed our time here. That had tons of free samples and a little exhibit. There was a path that we could walk through on our own. It was so pretty walking through the farm/gardens. The gift shop had a lot of cute shirts and merch. We ended up buying coffee and other merch to bring back as souvenirs.

Free samples aplenty and cats galore - Kauai Coffee is a must stop. The picturesque landscaping, beautiful trees, and self-guided tour make for a memorable and affordable visit.
I'm no coffee snob, but I found most of the samples of Kauai Coffee to be a too bitter for my liking. That said, the peaberry coffee was delightful, and we bought a bag to bring home. The self-guided tour is simple and beautiful. If you've done a coffee farm tour before, I would just do the free self-guided one here.
They have a small cafe, to order coffee and treats, a mini-museum and a great gift shop. There's lots to peruse, and your coffee-loving friends and family will love the souvenir options they offer. I had a Mac Nut soft serve ice cream, which was the perfect treat to contrast the sun. Lots of fun Hawaiian wildlife, including cats, geckos, and birds - so get your cameras ready.
You don't need more than an hour here, but it's a family-friendly and worthwhile stop in Kauai.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Mar 22, 2024
I'm not quite a coffee drinker myself but this place was amazing. Filled with a lot of history and generation wealth and how this place transformed from how it was then to what this place is now was quite amazing. Staff and atmosphere here was very welcoming and they let you try samples of coffees that you want to buy. All in all it was a pretty cool experience. If you love coffee this place is one like no other.

A nice spot for a quick break! Sample all of their coffee offerings, so you know which ones are your favorites! There's quite the selection, so this is a perfect way to do just that. All these years, I've been buying the Kauai Coffee beans in the bright blue bags from my local grocery store. Little did I know that the Estate Reserve -- Kauai Blue Mountain (Dark Roast) and Poipu Estate (Medium Roast) -- even existed. I guess I'll be ordering those online...
Everyone is super-nice and the store is just incredible! A great selection of gifts, coffee and non-coffee, too.
Ample parking and plenty of space to just sit and talk story. There is a short, self-guided tour, as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 10, 2024
We stopped by on a rainy day in Kauai. It was late in the day so I didn't need caffeine samples to keep me up at night. So instead we got a mango mojito popsicle and walked around the coffee plant fields to stretch our legs. I noticed items at the gift shop are a couple bucks cheaper than the same items at ABC store. I got a box of Vanilla Macadamia Nut Keurig coffee to enjoy at home to reminisce about my trip. Great stop for coffee lovers!

If you're cruisin' for the day over on the southwest side of Kauai... swing by Kauai coffee for some java and a little walk around their (I was about to say Vineyard... but's that's not right.... hahahahaha)... their coffee trees. There are a lot of them. I think it said 4 million trees?
There's a little self-guided walk with informational signs. I think they also do free guided walks so check their site for more info.
They have a coffee bar with all kines of drinks. Check it out.
They also have a gift shop with again... all kines of tings that make good kine gifts.... or if you're like me gifts for yourself to take home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 10148451Nov 29, 2023
A coffee store located on the Kauai Coffee plantation offering a great selection of brewed coffees that you can taste before you decide on a cup. You can take a self guided tour of their coffee plantation and walk through as you sip on your coffee too!
The store has a variety of coffee both beans and ground, and merchandise that you can purchase. They also have unique seasonal blends - the rum coffee roasted in the Kola Rum distillery barrels was exceptional. You can sip your cup of coffee on their outdoor patio while enjoying views of their plantation. Their staff is knowledgeable about their coffee blends and happy to answer questions that you may have. This may not make your typical Kauai itinerary but if you are into coffee, stop by here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
