Bought a 2017 GMC Canyon from here at the end of September 2021. I've had it back to the dealership twice for a stuttering feel as I drive as well as hard shifting around first and second gear. The first time I was told they couldn't duplicate it. I had to schedule a drive along. I went for a drive test with a technician and they felt it as we were driving a few times. Right away he said that feels like the issue many have with the torque converter and moisture so he would change the fluids while it was back for an oil change. He couldn't feel the shifting issue which is understandable bc it wasn't happening there but the stutter was. The service counter rep came out and said they couldn't duplicate it so there was nothing to be done. It is the way the 8speed feels. I have spoken with many other gmc truck owners and they do not feel that in their vehicles. This truck had the torque converter replaced in August (mind you my sales person didn't tell me about this when I was looking at the vehicle). I have also spoken with the manager about my concerns and I was given an attitude and told its just the way the 8speed feels. I felt like I was being spoken down to and like I was some clueless woman. I've driven enough vehicles all different brands and I've done enough research to know something is not right with this vehicle. I don't want to hear them say they understand where my frustration is coming from for the 20th time. You don't. This is no small purchase. You withheld information about the vehicle, sold it to me with an out of date oil change and are speaking to me like a clueless woman. To be told from the tech he felt exactly what I was feeeling as driving and then someone to come out and say he didn't....seems a little shady like the manager just doesn't want to put in the hours to try to fix this issue...
Not happy and I want to know how you are going to fix the issue with this vehicle ASAP.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew R.Ephrata, PA0511Jan 5, 2019
These guys are a joke. A few months ago I took my warrantied Buick Enclave in for steering issues. Found fluid in the boots noting a bad a rack.
Shop tells me it's normal and diagnoses a sway bar link. Knock still there, fluid still disappearing from my reservoir.
Fast forward a few months, I have MR. Tire replace the struts because they noted the struts were bad. During inspection they show me the half crooked job done on the rack. Someone used sealant to repair leaks in the rack...not ASE approved.
Pictures show amount of fluid that came out of the rack...
Don't trust these guys with anything. Joke!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tina M.Appomattox, VA170Jun 2, 2020
Worst place ever to go to.! What is there a most two weeks ago with somebody's else's vehicle to get serviced and the person that works behind the counter in the service area decided to come in and harass me while I was sitting in the waiting room. And he also broke the Hippa law
Then I guess since he couldn't get no satisfaction out of harassing me the service manager came in and harassed me and kept harassing me. Now mind you I wasn't doing anything I was just sitting there minding my own business. He was telling me since I have medical reasons why I don't wear a mask but I had to sit outside. And he kept telling me this over and over and over again. And I proceeded to tell him that I am disabled and that I have more rights than he does and that I was just going to sit there and wait for the vehicle to be done and that's it. Well then he threaten me with the cops! And I told him go ahead I said legally they cannot enforce the law about wearing the stupid masks because the governor is not allowed to do what he's doing. And I proceeded to tell him once again that I have medical reasons that I do not wear a mask. And then he proceeded to also break the HIPAA laws by asking me what medical reasons I have for not wearing them. That there was against the law friend even asked that. Then other things happened that I will not get into. Then the little person that first came and harassed me want to hand me the keys to the vehicle and he stood back as far as he could to hand the keys and the receipt to me. Violation of my civil rights doing something like that. Then they proceeded to park the vehicle all the way in the back parking lot instead of putting it right there by the garage doors like everybody else's vehicle gets put in when it's done. Little do they know I filed a formal complaint against them with the ADA down in Washington DC and I also filed a formal complaint against them with the Pennsylvania civil rights Association. You could never pay me to go there ever again. Not even for somebody else. You want to talk about a bunch of ignorant people they don't know the laws and don't know the constitution this is the place to go!
Very ignorant and unprofessional!
I even called and left a message for the owner JR Sauder to call me because I let him know that I had a problem with two of his employees there and do you think he ever called me back no! Do you want to call that real professional?
No I just say that's pretty damn ignorant!
Do not waste your time going here because they will treat you like a piece of shit!
My question is would you go there I want to be treated like I did and I am physically disabled?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dan N.King of Prussia, PA3491Jul 13, 2021
Bought a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 from them. Immediately started having transmission problems with the truck. Has been back four times they could not resolve it .Even videotaped the truck doing it but this was no help to them. Their service department is awful. Finally spoke to owner JP and he asked me to take it to another shop that they couldn't figure it out. Never buy a used vehicle from them.

We have bought two new cars and 3 used cars from Sauders. Very nice people to work with. Usually had them service cars and inspection. No problems. One complaint last car I told them I wanted it financed by Citadel and they set it up with Bank of America. They checked the rate and Citadel was lower so they got it at same rate. I refinanced it at Citadel after a year at better rate less time.

Stay away from this dealership!! I purchased a used vehicle for full price blue book value, because the sales person said it was in excellent condition. That was not the case. The car has had so many problems. I have had to pay over $4500 for repairs within a month just to keep it running. This car is a money pit. They said "excellent condition" the first day of warm weather last week made me turn on the air conditioner, and yes you guessed it. It doesn't work, back to the shop. STAY AWAY FROM JOHN SAUDER CHEVROLET!

I have recently purchased a new transmission from John Sauder. A week later had problems with it. I have taken my vehicle 5 times. Nothing but a runaround. They do not want to fix it even though it is warranted!

Folks , I worked on a deal with Mr. Odenwalt, that due to the nature of the car and geography required everything to be done by phone and e-mail. Matt, knew that his Vette was in the running with three other Vettes, and that the color of his Vette put it behind the other two, color mix aside Matt had a phenomenal Vette. That being said even knowing the chances of us closing a deal hinged upon my 2nd choice falling through, Matt, never stopped working the trade, in fact even when, at zero hour I communicated to Matt I was going another direction , he never missed a call or e-mail answered every question and is and was 100% a Professional, I look forward to and hope that I should have another chance to work a trade with Matt Odenwalt. If for any reason your hesitant to work a deal due to geography, put your mind at ease, as Matt is a Car Sales & Leasing Professional, however, he is a car guy and family man first.

Talked to a salesman three times about a vehicle, made an appointment to see it Friday afternoon. The salesman said he would call Friday to confirm. 4:30 in the afternoon I called to confirm - was told the vehicle I was interested in was just delivered to another customer and he was just getting ready to call and let me know. I bought a vehicle here 10 years ago - best deal I ever got buying a new car. Wouldn't ever go back after the last runaround I got.
