Dental anxiety for me had gotten so intense that I avoided serious dental issues for many years (~10), of course leading to worsening issues and more fear and anxiety.

When finally deciding to address everything, I ended up choosing Midtown Dental for several reasons - the reviews from people in similar situations, the competence conveyed in those reviews, the technology/etc. that provided an easier-to-handle experience, the proximity to me, and then how I was treated upon my initial check-up and treatment appointments.

Everyone at the office has been incredibly kind, informative and helpful. They were able to deal with my panic attacks which was something that was nearly hospitalizing me. Their ability to use conscious sedation in conjunction with some other medications allowed me to make it through the biggest anxiety hurdle I've had in my 38 years, with virtually no pain and no memory of the surgery.

I had 7 extractions, among several other procedures, and they were able to address everything in one 4-hour appointment. Basically the only thing I felt was the IV going in (a little prick) and next thing I know they're waking me up saying everything went well. I barely experienced any swelling at all, even after all 4 wisdom teeth being removed; no pain, which is still the case 6 days later. I was also quite awake and aware within an hour of coming off sedation, with my mom saying she's never seen such a good reaction to sedation/surgery.

What I'm getting at is they really know how to dial in the medications so you don't experience the parts that induce anxiety, fear or pain. My dental anxiety has reduced so much because of this knowledge and knowing they will take care of me properly at Midtown Dental, to the point I may not need the same level of anxiety medication for future appointments, if at all. (FYI they have different levels of medication for different levels of anxiety - I needed the most extreme with conscious sedation but it worked perfectly)

My experience at the dental office was positive. Dr. Apekian was kind and helpful in the issues that I am having with my teeth. She was able to refer me to an outside specialist to get the care that I need.

I had my first appointment today with Midtown Dental. I was very impressed by all of the staff, the facility, and the timeliness. Dr. Apekian took the time to explain everything in detail and was very professional and kind. They had a cancellation and I was even able to get a cleaning today. I was very happy with my experience, and feel very confident in their services moving forward.

I've been coming to Midtown Dental for 2 and a half years now and my visits are always so pleasant. Prior to this, I had severe dental anxiety and avoided the dentist for over 15 years. I'm so grateful that I found Midtown Dental and wish I would've found them sooner. Dr. Apekian and all the staff here are so amazing and they really do take care of you. They put patients' interest first and provide a safe and judgement free environment.

Still the best dentist I have been too. I recently had a cleaning appointment and had a mini panic attack. The hygienist did a wonderful job calming me down and putting me at ease. Thank you again for all that you have done.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad I went to this dental office for a second opinion. Dr. Crippin was so informative, helpful and knowledgeable, Ashley was incredibly gentle when taking imagery and Jen thoroughly explained the proposed treatment plan and the financing available. Clearly more interested in helping their patients than earning a buck. I came away with a lot more options.

I am very pleased thus far and have no complaints whatsoever. Everybody is very thorough and knowledgeable and not to mention the overall ambience of this place feels high touch.

First deep cleaning treatment completed. Here's my story.

Like others, I have a lot of anxieties when it comes to the dentist. Several years ago I was made aware by Midtown Dental that a deep cleaning would be needed. All I heard from others was how painful a deep cleaning was. Well... I became a man on the run. I avoided all dentist offices for years.

Unfortunately, my gums became even worse. They began bleeding more frequently. Sometimes for no reason. I went back to Midtown Dental last year to be reestablished. During my appointment I wasn't able to complete all my x-rays nor complete my gum measurements due to my gums bleeding and my anxieties which caused my tongue to go John Wick on anyone who dared to enter my mouth.

Kudos to the entire staff for being patient and understanding with me that day. That was also the first time I met Dr. Mathai. She was fantastic. Nice and patient. Unfortunately, as I stated above, my tongue was not cooperating with her either when she came to assist. Therefore, it was obvious that a deep cleaning and other work was needed for me. However, I appreciated Dr. Mathai for creating our game plan and also for recommending laughing gas to help relax me for my upcoming appointments.

Fast forward to today. The day of my deep cleaning. I arrived at Midtown Dental and sat in the parking lot considering being a no-show and just leaving. However, I made it in.

Once my hygienist Theresea came and got me -- I immediately shared my fears with her. She was great. She talked me through it. Understood my fears. Oh, that laughing gas that Dr. Mathai had recommended -- game changer.

Everything was a complete breeze from there. I didn't feel anything. Even after the numbness went away -- I felt a bit of soreness but nothing beyond that.

My entire experience interacting with Midtown Dental staff has been wonderful and comforting. They, definitely help me with being comfortable and placing my dental anxieties to the side. I definitely look forward to my second deep cleaning appointment! Me -- looking forward to a dentist appointment? With Midtown Dental -- absolutely!
