Very pleasant experience. Staff is extremely helpful and Doc O'Dowd is has the best personality. Crystal is very nice and is a fine addition to this team of professionals.

Fuquay Eye Care earns 20 stars. Our entire family has very different personalities and all 4 family members received top rate service from their individual appointments. Fantastic experience x 4.
Everyone's eye appointment was positive from the testing, eye doctor appointment as well picking out new glasses. It was an awesome experience for all 4 of us. We wound up having Crystal and she was awesome and patient with all 4 of us individually. We picked a bunch of frames and helped us navigate which look would work best for each family member. Dr. Daniel O'Dowd ability to Connect with our 13 year old regarding her eyes in a scientific manner blew me away. She left feeling confident about what she recently learned in school and how it connected to her eyes and eye care. His demeanour is pleasant and welcoming.
My husband and Son asked enjoyed their appointments with Dr. D O'Dowd and reported
him to be knowledgeable, and top notch. I had Dr. Teresa Pham who was excellent and enjoyed her pleasant demeanour.
Every staff at the desk had fantastic customer service despite being a very busy busy office. A true gem of a eye doctors office with true professionalism by all staff we interacted with. Very disappointed in the customer service at this highly rated office. I ordered glasses that did not work out both by frame and by lens. They would not give me a refund because they said they had already filed with my insurance however, I paid in cash. Once they realized that, they said I would be charged a 25% restocking fee on these brand new frames and when I asked to see where that was a written policy, they changed their mind and said they would refund the frames and the lenses with a 30% restocking fee. So now I've paid 30% of almost $550 for nothing and I'll need to go to a different optometrist office now to pay for new frames and lenses when I should have been able to just refund the frames and have the lenses redone with this office.

I would have give a zero star if I could. The optometrist has been nice and great however, the glasses and lens business on the side is awful. Staff are incompetent and passive aggressive (especially the older lady). I should have known better after they had screwed up my frames before. People need to realize that they will have zero responsibility if they break your frames but if you have to cancel your order, you will be paying for the fee (even when it is not your fault). I will not go back to this practice ever again. I will not recommend anyone to go here neither.

I made an appointment with this provider based off their good Google reviews. Here are my thoughts:
* I waited in the lobby 30 min past my appointment..typical doctors office protocol so ..it is what it is .
* Doctor took awhile to see me ..but was quick with the exam.
* The reason for the 2 star review is because after the exam I was treated like garbage . No one seemed to really care if I was there or not and I was told I would be put on a "list" and was asked to go sit in the lobby..again.

Went to your Fuquay Eye Care recently to get an Eye Exam and possibly purchase some Eye Glasses...Told all staff upfront that my Insurance would pay a maximum of $300.00 toward the Glasses and Frames...I wanted to keep the cost below that amount...I told all the staff, that I only needed Single Vision Reading Glasses, and a Inexpensive Frame to keep the costs down...During the first fitting, the initial quote that they gave me was @ $467.00...I said No Thank You because of the cost, and asked for my eye prescription and left the store...Took my prescription to another Location, and to my amazement the prescription was not for Single Lens Readers, as I had asked for, but were for higher cost Progressive Bifocals...Went back to Fuquay Eye care to ask about this and their explanation was that I had (2) prescriptions and I was incorrectly only given the Bifocal Prescription by mistake. They then proceeded to give me the lower cost, Single Lens Prescription, and wanted to know if they could Quote that Prescription for me, which I declined and took the Single Lens Reader Prescription to another Location, and got the prescription filled for less than $300.00, which is all I ever wanted...I told Fuquay Eye Care upfront, that I only needed "Readers", but they ignored my request and they attempted the Upsell and they ended up Losing a Customer and the Sale...When you can.......Give the Customer what he asks for, First.....Then present him with the other Options...

They'll spam you with text messages and emails, and clicking the opt out link doesn't work.

My son got glasses this year and already his lens has came off. He wears a special lens and they sent him home with his glasses one sided. They had trouble getting the handle right, I should have never left Johnsons optometric, and after this, I'm taken my son back.

This has been the best eyecare center that I've ever been to. Everyone working here was super professional and friendly. They weren't super pushy about getting me to pay for any extras or buy contacts/glasses directly on the spot (like MyEyeDr).
My only complaint was that it was a little hard to find this location, as my GPS (Waze and Googlemaps) took me to a random neighborhood at the end of Judd Parkway. Make sure you enter in the "NE" at the end of the address into your GPS.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
