This location has closed forever as of 2/24/2021. The memories will be forever.
This Fry's was one of the first locations to open in the OC, with Anaheim following later. For a time they both were the leading choices for PC hardware and software and other consumer electronics. Micro Center opened their Tustin location not too long ago when Fry's Fountain Valley first opened, but it was nowhere as popular as Fry's.
A long while ago this location was where Blizzard held a midnight party for the street release of WoW Burning Crusade.
Customer service used to be stellar in the early days, but gradually declined as the associates started to get paid less and less, until employees' hours got cut. But at least Fry's was still popular. The return policy got very strict as people started to return items that were broken or missing stuff.
I had memories from here as well as the Anaheim location (closed forever back in 2/2020). I cannot recall how often I shopped here or even in the Anaheim location. Back when the largest hard drive only had 500 GB for a good sum of money, you went here for the best deal.
Fry's also had a large console section, where I bought my PS2.
As Newegg and Amazon started to get more into retail, Fry's declined rapidly as name brand items started not showing up well stocked.
Fry's already was on a decline before the pandemic days. Now, it's gone. Micro Center has assumed the role Fry's used to be.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 26, 2018
This 5 star review goes straight to Peter Nguyen. I'm usually a Best Buys fanatic but decided to go to Fry's further away for a deal, and went straight to Peter. He offered me incredible customer service and gave me suggestions on how to optimize my TV purchase. He always spoke with a smile and laugh and he was super genuine. I'm excited about my Samsung TV and it was all because of Peter!
Thank you! If you're buying a TV, go straight to him!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Merrill M.Costa Mesa, CA49358652Feb 10, 2021

RIP Fry's.
It used to be awesome, they had everything and sometimes had the best deals on new games and computer parts. Recently they switched to a consignment model and it is a shell of its former glory days. "Are they not open yet?" We thought as we pulled into the ghost town. Shelves that used to be overflowing are empty. It is a completely different experience now. At least we nerds still have Microcenter near by!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 20, 2019
Horrible! Looks like a ghost town with empty shelves and overpriced items you can by on Amazon for cheaper. I was disappointed how bad this place became. I predict they will be closing down soon, no customers and no supplies.

Kind of a ghost town these days. I don't know if other frys are going the same way but I have to imagine they are. Soo much sqaure footage and probably the best place to come for selection and everything under one roof. Some of the shelves and aisles are completely empty, and others are very lean. Only 1 cashier working in a row of 40 registers. I got some of the stuff I needed but they were out of stock on 3 things and it didn't look like they were ever coming back.
Hopefully they are hanging in there for x-mas time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ck S.Wildomar, CA19918Oct 5, 2019
Well to be perfectly frank, I didn't check YELP before I went to Fry's today. As this is my 1st time to go to a Fry's, I thought they were an electronics superstore.
All I wanted was a Bluetooth mic that was compatible with my Harmon Kardon speaker. What I got was every excuse why this and that wouldn't work.
What I ended up with was $85 of complete crap.
I did tell the clerk that I lived quite a distance from the store in Fullerton/Anaheim, so you can one star ME for that stupid comment!
All I wanted to do was have an easy source to talk to a singer in the vocal isolation booth.
I do miss Radio Shack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 15, 2016
Fry's receives a lot of criticism and I get it. Sometimes the staff is simply not up to par. But, they provide a great service, a place where you can get all of the electronic items you need. It is a one-stop-shop.
There are a number of Fry's around the Los Angeles, Orange County area. They have all been in business for a very long time. The fact is, some locations are better and more well stocked than others. Overall, this location is one of the location that I prefer. It is a very large and open store that is both well stocked and their merchandise is well displayed.
Yes, I too have had a few concerns with the staff members trying to sell me an item I do not want or providing me with poor information over the years. I suggest you go into this (or any) Fry's with a sense of researched knowledge about what you are looking for and then you will not run into these problems.
This location actually has a lot to offer. Not only do they have a good selection of products, which is not always the case with the various Fry's around the area, but they also have a shop where they will install your new car audio for free if you purchase it from them. I have had a few car audio devices installed here and they always did a good job in a short amount of time.
This location is easy to get to. It is right off of the 405. And, it has a very large parking lot. So, even when it is crowded on the weekends you will always be able to find a parking spot.
No, it is not perfect. What store is? But, this Fry's does serve its purpose very well.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

I guess the fat lady is signing loud and clear.
Haven't been to Fry's for over a year , but need-it something on quick so I had no second thought. When I arrived the parking lot was almost empty which was the first bad sign. When I went inside it got worse, half the store is almost empty and the isles who have stuff have only no brand products. No more PC 's , mouse and keyboards are missing Logitech or Microsoft etc. no more apple products etc. I have to give one of guys credit for finding me the part which was somewhere in the back. I guess times have changed and no one needs Fry's anymore, even less when the new business model causes quality products to no longer be avail. So Best Buy it is or if you can wait there is always amazon which will have better price then Fry's or Best Buy .
Good bye Fry'sHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Daniel W.Irvine, CA7411016Jun 29, 2020
This place is DEAD.
Shelves are empty, barely any employees, low stock on most stuff.
Don't waste your time, it's not the Fry's we knew from years ago. Better off going to Microcenter or Best Buy a few miles down.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
