Discount Cab

We had a prepaid ride scheduled to go to airport. Cab never came and when we called we were told they only had 1 driver who was not answering their phone. With no regard, we were left hanging. This cab company is a JOKE! DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Called in a reservation for a pickup. Never showed up. They didn't even show that I had a reservation! No wonder everyone uses Uber and Lyft, and Taxi service is dying. Never again. I downloaded the UBER APP immediately and was picked up within 15 minutes.

Paraplegic relative scheduled a cab to be picked up at 1:15 PM for a 2:30 medical appointment. No show. He called and they said someone will be on the way soon. It is now 2:30PM and NO cab has shown up. Don't you people have a conscience or integrity? I tried calling cab company twice, each time on hold for over 10 minutes without the ability to speak to ANYONE!
What gives? Are you in business or not?

I'm the terminal manager for a trucking company here in Phx. Well aware how logistics and routing work and when the numbers don't add up.

One of our truck drivers got a ride with Total Ride (formerly Discount Cab) from the truck stop on 99th Ave to our hotel on 32nd and University. It is a 18.7 mile trip. The taxi driver charged for 29.3 miles. He also charged for a 120 minutes trip. Our employee was charged $75.80. According to Total Cabs website here's the breakdown on their fees.
$1.30/mile
$.30/minute
$5.75 to book by phone
&3.00 to book by app
Our employee should have been charged approximately....
$24.31 for the miles
$18.00 for 60 minutes at the most even with construction
$5.75 booking by phone as the employee is from out of the area and unlikely to have the app.
Total of $48.06

Unbelievably horrible service. I work in a PT clinic and one of our patient's had a scheduled pick up time of 2pm. It's now 4:45pm and the cab still hasn't shown up. I've called Discount Cab three times and have spoken with 4 different representatives, including a supervisor. I was told that they have no way of determining when a van would be here to pick our patient up since rides are based on availability. Our patient is in a wheelchair and requires a special van.

It's infuriating that it's been over 2 1/2 hours and our patient is still waiting when she had a SCHEDULED pick up time of 2pm. Scheduled. Meaning the cab company knew they had to be at our location at a certain time. How unorganized is this company that they don't have the resources to honor their own schedule? This isn't the first time this has happened and I I am continually astounded at the unreliability of Discount Cab and how it negatively impacts our wheelchair-bound patients. Unbelievable.

It is now 4:53pm and the van just arrived. Almost three hours later. Three hours! Next time we'll just anticipate Discount Cab's complete incompetence and plan ahead by making sure we have a more comfortable waiting area for our patient's that have to wait for this awful company.

This is the worst taxi service in Phoenix.

The average wait time for a taxi, if the car shows up at all, is somewhere between 90 minutes to 120 minutes.

This company has gone visibly downhill over the last five to six years.

Before even thinking of calling this cab company, please check with all of the other cab companies in Phoenix.

In other words, avoid.

They are good at what they do but not all of the cab drivers don't keep there cabs clean some do keep there cabs Kleenex I've ridden in the cabs and some have all kinds of foot dirt all over in the foot area in the cabs and usually the full interior is filthy in the cabs that are filth dirty!

And some smell like cat litter boxes or smell like farts or they smell like dirty pet shops or dirty dog pounds!

And some cab drivers are dirt and very smelly to like they haven't bathed for week or months.
I think this behavior destroys the so called good quality and good credit that a company needs in order to stay in business! I think that the ethical quality of the company shows buy what the cab drivers do!

Had a very early morning flight and couldn't count on ride share services. I was able to schedule a cab online and it showed up on time with a set price.
