simple dental cleaning.
Greeted as soon as I arrived and waited less than 5 minutes to be taken back to the exam chair. The Hygienist began with a few questions and started the exam process. All staff were prepared, friendly and professional.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeffrey D C.Salt Lake City, UT07Apr 2, 2024

Absolutely love Foothills Dental. My husband and I have been coming here for years. It's always been good but I'm thrilled with the new owners Dr Singh and Dr Pruthi and the entire team of dental hygienists and front office staff. All so friendly. Anita is so sweet.
Dr Singh and Dr Pruthi are compassionate and extremely professional. They have modern tech and equipment so you can see all the issues with your teeth that they are discussing with you. No more blind faith in what your dentist tells you.
I just had my elderly parents switch to them and they were all so kind and actually saved my Moms tooth. She was delighted.
Cannot recommend enough.

My family has been coming to Dr. Pulley & his team for well over a decade. We showed up recently for our routine cleaning appointment(s) to his being gone .. that was sad enough .. BUT Judy & Ron are gone too. NO one said a thing .. even when I signed in , NO one said a word to us . It was only overhearing a patient who checked in after me & my daughter that it was noted , because I went up and asked the new guy working. Not only did it make me
feel that we did not matter , it truly upset me. We drive 50 min from N Scottsdale for Dr. Pulley and his team. To show up & state we were seeing someone else , ONLY after I asked ! It's a big deal to show up for a totally different dentist and it could have and should have been noted when the several confirmation calls / texts came in or moreover, when we made our appointments, especially from Marcel who's a part of the 'old team'. Next, we have never received bills for basic cleanings & this time we did ; another fail. IF the new practice went out of our network, this should have been conveyed as well before or during our appointments because honestly, now we are just mad. The new dentists seem kind and were thorough during our visits but the rest of our last visit left us feeling like we didn't matter despite a decade plus of being so loyal to the practice.. meaning Dr. Pulley , who always made us feel we were part of a family. We are now looking for a new practice near our home .. nothing will ever be Dr. Pulley.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Kimberly, thank you for the feedback. We are sorry to hear of your experience and that we will not get an opportunity to develop a relationship. As you know, deep and meaningful relationships take time. We understand your concern with the distance that you travel, the changes in the team, and billing.
We have a lot of patients who drive long distances to see us for dental care.
Regarding the change in personnel, we're trying to figure out how to practically update each patient on each change in our team considering the times. That being said, our website does show our team leaders. Ron parted ways with Dr. Pulley several months before the practice changed hands. Judy had her retirement party with the rest of our team approximately 3 months after Dr. Singh took over - you can check out the celebration on our Facebook page. We have added Max to the front office where Judy used to be to help out.
Regarding billing, we have not changed our insurance status. It is rare to have an insurance plan that does not cover cleanings 100%. Any balance due is based on the benefits your employer has negotiated with the insurance company. Forgiving patient portions of a fee, as a rule, is considered insurance fraud. We pride ourselves in providing written estimates for patient portions due. It is very rare to have to do that for a cleaning appointment; we dropped the ball in that regard.
Kimberly, once you have found a new dentist, please get in touch with Marcella so she can facilitate a transfer of records in a timely manner. It takes a few days so please keep that in mind. We wish you and your family only the best in that you find a dentist closer to you who meets all your needs.Aug 27, 2019Previous reviewDesert Foothills Dental has been my dental office of choice now for almost 7 years. I can not tell you in this review how blessed I feel to have found a dental office and staff , mind you , that make you feel like family ! That says a lot when it's a dentist! Because if you are like me, I would rather do many other things than have dental appointments! Dr. Pulley is gentle , kind and professional.. most of all , he cares! He has brought in a new dentist too, Dr. Justin Jones, I like him a lot too.. BUT, honestly when I saw him last, I almost cried driving away because I knew that it meant that Dr. Pulley is possibly putting the 'gears in motion' so he can enjoy his post dental life, as he should , ( and I am just being selfish! ). My family goes here now too. My husband is the epitome of , well, a weak sauce and passed out during a routine filling once and they let me know .. even though I was flying ! My daughter had her wisdom teeth done last summer on her break and again, that warm , caring care you don't get everywhere came through all the way to Dr. Pulley , himself, helping my wobbly daughter to the car. I adore Judy, who always answers the phone in her kind voice and greets you with a smile and Ron who is always smiling and laughing ! My teeth always look great too and I've had Zoom here , as well. Marcella even finds when I've over paid and sends checks ! Yay! I can't imagine a better dentist or team.. that just feels like family !
Oct 27, 2015Previous reviewDr. Pulley and staff are in a word, amazing! As many people, I am terrified of anything dental. NOT because I don't take care of my teeth, I do! But even down to the water jet cleaning of my teeth, I just want it over and immediately yesterday. That said, I found Dr. Pulley when I moved across the valley via great reviews and word of mouth. Upon calling his office, it was the Dr. himself that answered! I was in shock, because that never happens! He was so kind and warm and apologetic because at the time one of his staff members was in the midst of getting married and he said he was also answering phones to help out his staff.. I was sold on his kindness alone. Judy, his admin, called me that week and told me all about Dr. Pulley and fit me and my fiancé in with a schedule to fit both our busy lives. When we got to our cleaning day, it was flawless and best.. painless! Dr. Pulley was down to earth, professional and advised what was needed in future visits. His staff is awesome too. There are headphones and music so you don't have to listen to that water jet thing or any of the grinding tools on said teeth! Yay for non painful pearly visits!

Dr. Pulley told me I had 8 cavities and 4 crowns that needed to be done, and I listened to him. Afterwards, I checked with 4 dentists, 1 oral surgeon, and 2 dental hygienists, and showed them my x-rays prior to all this work. They all said none of that was necessary. I was skeptical because I brush my teeth twice and floss daily, but he's the dentist so I went along with it. They stole thousands of dollars from me over this and worse, they shaved down four of my teeth for absolutely no reason. I sent them an email telling them this and I've gotten no answer. Seriously avoid this practice. I will tell everyone I know. I am so angry with them for what they did to me.

We're very saddened to hear of your experience. Dr. Pulley has sold the practice and is no longer practicing here.
Treatment plans at our practice are finalized by using x-rays, photos, diet information, oral hygiene habits and medical history; sometimes molds of the mouth, coordination with a dental laboratory and additional steps are needed as well. We review the advantages, disadvantages, risks and alternatives for each treatment plan and then ask that patients make the best decision for themselves.
Patient with any unresolved concerns are encouraged to reach out to us at smile@desertfoothillsdental.com and schedule an appointment to speak to the doctor directly.Jan 18, 2021Previous reviewWonderful dental office, everything from the first phone scheduling call with Judy to the dental hygienist, Anna, to Dr. Pulley. Was able to schedule for four days in advance, and following appointment is for the following weekend. DH was so friendly and gentle. Dr. Pulley was kind yet straightforward, and he is a perfectionist when it comes to dental work. The front-desk people (Marcela) know what they're doing with insurance and lay it all out for you up front, no tricks or dishonesty. Highly recommend for everyone!

They put a lot of effort into keeping me comfortable during what is always an uncomfortable experience. I really appreciated that.

The hygienist was speedy and more importantly, she didn't recommend or do a bunch of unnecessary procedures. The doctor saw me after the cleaning was completed and he talked to me about some potential issues with my teeth, which I appreciated.

I have been going to Desert Foothills for almost 20 years. I've always thought of them as my second family. So much so that I referred to Judy as "Aunt Judy". I was truly sad but happy to hear Dr Pulley retired. He deserves it after all his dedication to his work. I will so miss joking around with Dr Pulley, Ron and Aunt Judy. They are truly the best! I did get the chance to meet Dr Pruthi on my recent follow up and was happy with my experience. Dr Pruthi was so kind, professional and made me feel at ease. I can tell the new team is just as dedicated but do hope they will enjoy all my corny jokes the same way Dr Pulley did! Still chomping away on my Halloween candy! Ha Ha.

It's always a pleasure to see the staff at Desert Foothills Dental. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I have been going there for many years, and the work is always excellent and pain free. I can't recommend them highly enough.
I was a patient of Dr Pulley for a long time, and just started now with Dr Singh upon Dr Pulley's retirement. He has the same caring attitude, and professionalism as Dr Pulley. Both have very high standards and want every job done right. I couldn't ask for better dental care.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I had been going to Dr. Pulley for many years, when he retired I was hurt, it was the perfect office, I used to hate going to the dentist, Dr. Pulley. Ron and the staff changed that for me..I will forever be grateful...but was assured things would not change and the new Dentist was great, they were kind at first, well not so true. After they wanted to put a few teeth in whether they were partials or implants, they sent me to the surgeon that did my implants. He wasn't pleased with the work and said I didn't really need partials, anyway, Desert foothills...the office I loved and trusted, never called me back to see what happened and I also had paid for a years worth of cleaning...it's ok, I miss Dr. Pulley and will find another dentist office.

Ann, I wish you would've called or visited the practice to discuss any concerns.
Generally speaking, we refer patients to the treating surgeon/dentist before we begin any treatment if there are any issues. This option is usually best for all concerned. We do not follow-up with patients if we refer them to previous providers to respect patient autonomy.
