We stopped by on our way out of Front Royal otw home from vacation for a quick bite and some much needed coffee.
Owner was busy baking fresh turnovers for the bakery case and her staff were amazingly welcoming.
We had a breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito with our coffee and Chai. Everything was wonderful, tasty and fresh.
We even grabbed some pastries to bring home.
A definite hidden gem located in the municipal area of Front Royal. Will for sure stop in again when we visit next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 9, 2024Updated review
Cherry turnover looked good in the case, but after it was microwaved, the pastry tasted chewy instead of flaky and fell completely flat. Shouldn't a toaster oven be on hand to reheat the baked goods?
Grabbed a bag of coffee beans to go. We both agree the beans taste burnt. Not a good second visit, so we'll find ourselves another spot for sweet treats and coffees.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 5, 2022Previous reviewCute and overpriced, which is what you come to expect from any Main St. business, USA. That said, this is Front Royal...not not Fairfax... The prices surprised us both.
We got breakfast burritos for about $10 a piece. My bacon was crispy, and I loved the roasted red peppers. Weirdly, they used Italian sausage in his burrito instead of breakfast sausage...a rather silly mistake. Neither of us preferred the spinach wrap to a traditional flour tortilla, and there was plenty room in the wrap for a lot more egg. Didn't like the "bistro sauce," so I was glad I requested it on the side.
Note: Dine-in table service does not extend beyond having food placed onto the table, which we didn't know before paying with a generous tip.
Comfortable seating inside. Plenty seating options outdoors. Not sure we'll be back. - Bianca L.Phoenix, AZ6585Apr 28, 2024
This place was amazing!!! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a very longgg time and yes it was something basic but still incredible! (sausage egg and cheese on a croissant with their house made sauce). Got a delicious caramel frappe as well. The ambience is perfect for a small town cafe. The staff were very friendly and patient. The boyfriend loved his food as well as his iced coffee. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Stopped in for some caffeine and breakfast one weekday morning. I ordered a cold brew and a breakfast sandwich - a Sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant.
The breakfast sammie was tasty and yummy. The cold brew, however, was a bit on the weak side for my palate.
Plenty of seating inside, service was good.

Stopped here to grab food on our way to Skyline Drive. We ordered an apple turnover (which they heated for us) and a breakfast sandwich which was extra delicious. The breakfast sandwich tasted like it might have had mustard in it? I'm not sure if that is what it was, but I've never had a breakfast sandwich like it before and I will try and make it on my own this way moving forward.
I got the coco mocha - and it might be the best latte I've ever had (and I am a latte addict).
There was lots of seating and staff was super friendly.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Jan 29, 2022
Main Street Daily Grind is a unique coffee shop in Front Royal VA. Imagine Starbucks, but with better food choices, an ice cream stand and a kids area. Quite amazing in fact.
Happened in here waiting for the local brewery to open. On Yelp it said the Brewery would open at 11am,but the door of the Brewery said noon. Kind of glad they weren't open or I would not have been able to experience the Daily Grind.
We had chicken panini and fried mushrooms, salmon but with fries, a sweet tea and a double espresso con panna which is basically with a dollop of foam.
The atmosphere is serene. The service was great here. It would return if I every come back to this beautiful sleepy town.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Stacie M.Front Royal, VA65246151May 21, 2023Updated review
I've been here a few times in the past , but today the waitstaff was just okay but one girl in particular a dark haired girl with the black shirt and light blue jeans who made our drinks was extremely rude. I was here with my family who came in from out of state and we ordered several coffees. I ordered specifically 2 iced caramel lattes with decaf espresso. The girl at the register who was quiet ,but nice repeated my order back to me and everything was correct. I sat by the window and when the 2 drinks came up they were hot drinks I nicely told my mom, who grabbed the orders they were incorrect and they were supposed to be iced. My mom told the girl making the drinks these were supposed to be iced the girl and kind of left it a question instead of a statement she looked at me from across the store then looked at my mom she said "Ok? And? I didn't take your order that's not my mistake what do you want?" My mom said "Can we have these iced?" The girls behind the counter with the dark hair black shirt and light blue jeans rolled her eyes and took the drinks and walked away. We eventually did get what we ordered however the important part of this post was the staff girl that waited on us made it seem like we were a bother because we asked for our drinks to be correct. I don't care if she's having a bad day, if the restaurant was busy or whatever else happened in between if you're in customer service you have to act like you want to be there. I am in customer service too and I know how to fake it even if I don't want to be there. Luckily I don't let one person ruin a whole experience, but if she acted like this with us SMH
**reviews are an experience that we as a customer had at an establishment but I guess we're not allowed to have a negative review because we will get bullied and threatened by the owner on yelp what a shame**Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

I suggest you remove this absolutely fabricated and UNTRUTHFUL review. We have many cameras installed in our shop and I will be contacting our lawyer for DEFOMATION of our business and verbal harassment of our employees. We will provide 3 clips from different angles (May 20 at 3.19 pm) recorded your time visiting our shop and a full interaction of our Baristas with your family. GREAT SERVICE, BY THE WAY!!! Not that you did not specify your 2 Specialties to our Barista (Iced or Hot) during your order after she specifically asked (and by default they were made Hot and after you yelled from the stage, they quickly remade them). You also personally did not see nor hear how our black-top Barista behaved because that LIE was made by the young girl sitting next to you ON THE STAGE and FAR AWAY FROM Barista station (maroon tank top) and this was also recorded. Your accusations are totally false and we will be forwarding all of this information, including your names, to our lawyer. It's a total SHAME to make up lies and publish them on Yelp.
Dec 8, 2011Previous reviewThe best thing I can say about the Main Street Daily Grind is that the food is very good. I like to come here to have a coffee and a sandwich and it is very inexpensive. I have yet to have a bad sandwich here yet. The coffee has always been right on too. My children love coming here with me because they love their fruit smoothies.

Cute little coffee shop with lots of seating. Had the blueberry turn over and really enjoyed it (they heated it for me). All the shops in front Royal have been so welcoming and friendly. Loved my visit.

I stopped in for some coffee and some munchies. The cherry danish was good the small dark coffee with a shot of espresso and a little bit of cream was not hot. It's 1:30 in the afternoon if you're going to serve premium priced coffee, you have to know your equipment and if you can't keep the morning brew hot it's time for a fresh pot.
