This place is bomb! We came here after dinner, this place was the chosen one since it wS open late, until 11pm, good reviews and they serve crepes and ice cream!
My husband and I ordered D9 nutella, strawberry, banana and whip cream, my daughters ordered a crepe with condense milk with green tea and whip cream, the other ordered crepe with vanilla and chocolate syrup and their friend ordered green tea ice cream.
The servings are huge, see pics I took. The customer service is great! We will for sure come back! Love this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2015
Ever since my trip here, I've been trying to find the best way to describe my experience at Crepe Temptations. It wasn't all bad, but it certainly had a flaw that will likely rule out a return trip. The best parallel I could think of would be like finding an old coin on the ground. It might look fine on one side, but once you pick it up, you realize the bottom is all green and crusty and immediately regret bending down to grab it.
The shiny, spiffy side of the coin:
The menu has a wide range of options, with plenty of both savory and sweet crepes to choose from. Some gnutella based, some ice cream based, some with a mix of the two, and others with beef and cheese (hello cheeseburger crepe!). Ultimately, I opted for D8, which came with Strawberries, Mochi, and Red Bean Paste ($4.90), and added in Green Tea Ice Cream (+$1.25).
Compared to the likes of Sophie's and Genki, Crepe Temptations doesn't quite match up. However, it was still pretty decent. I really liked the red bean paste and I thought both the strawberries and the ice cream were great. The mochi wasn't anything special, but the biggest flaw was the crepe itself. Sadly, it didn't have much of a crust, so by the end, the crepe felt like a giant spongy clump. Still, it wasn't bad flavor wise.
Now, as for that dirty, crusty side of the coin?
Vicky L.: "OMG Mike..."
Me: "What...?"
Vicky L.: "There are roaches on the wall by the garbage can."
Like I said, immediate regret. Sorry.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Gwen W.Fremont, CA10474621543Apr 2, 2017
Judah is super quiet late at night, and all I wanted was some good dessert. My boyfriend and I couldn't find any good bread pudding places open near Outer Sunset when we finished dinner at San Tung, so we made the drive to Crepe Temptations instead.
It was empty when we drove past at 9 PM, and when we finally found street parking, there were only three other people in the shop with us. A bunch of people flooded the shop right after, though, and the guy behind the counter was stuck taking orders and making crepes at the same time. He managed considerably well, though. Our crepe came out within 5 minutes of our order.
We split a Decadent Confection crepe with slices of cheesecake and that delightful Polly Ann's cookies 'n cream. Some people are split on whether the hardened crepe is a good thing, and I definitely think it is. The stuff in those crepes gets heavy! I think the highlight of the crepe is indeed the Polly Ann's, because you just can't beat the freshness of that ice cream.
The cheesecake was very soft and had an odd texture to it. I'm guessing they just buy their cakes from a local grocery store and slice them in there. There were two pieces of cheesecake in there, though, which was cool. I was expecting them to skimp on it and they delivered, even if I wasn't a fan of how it turned out. Feel aside, it tasted good and was a satisfactory eat-in dessert choice. At just under $7, it wasn't *too* expensive.
Sucks that this place is cash only -- there are ATMs and a few banks nearby, but probably none you'd want to be near late at night. I don't think I'll feel the urge to come back here for crepes or drinks, but it's a great late night option for locals considering that literally everything else is closed at 9 PM.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Tina T.Irvine, CA1484559Jun 12, 2017
My friend took me here because it's one of her favorite crepe places. I was hesitant to try it because it did not look appetizing to me. So we went anyway, and I LIKED it. I found myself craving for it everyday for the rest of the duration of the trip but never made it back. :(
The tiramisu was horrible (like the frozen ones you get at ralphs sliced) so don't be greedy like me, and don't get anything else besides the crepe.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 20, 2017
SOOOO WORTH IT!!!! Great price, great portion, great taste quality, you can not ever go wrong with this yummy sweet spot. It is run by one guy, which to mention, I give him so much props for always holding the fort down by himself taking all the orders and making them perfectly. There are sweet and savory crepes, along with salads and regular scoops of ice cream. I have a feeling there is more from the menu, but can not quite remember. I LOVE how this place closes late so even when its 10 or 11 at night, I can count on this spot to fulfill my sweet cravings.

Despite the numerous eateries dotting the Inner and Outer Sunset, it never fails to amaze me that the number of late night options drop to a measly 1% after 7:00 then after 9:00 PM. Given the lack of resources, most of the only late night joints are Asian themed eateries!
That being said, because I'm not a huge fan of having chow mein with my coffee, it was a relief to find this little spot open late in the evening. I met up with a good friend here one evening and the little joint was active with locals walking in to satisfy a sweet tooth.
We ordered several items off their varied menu, such as savory and dessert crepes and ice cream and milkshakes. We also ordered coffee and tea. Please note that the crepes here are not the kind that make you forget about Paris. These crepes are stiff and crunchy which basically makes for easy consumption since the loaded savory crepes are served in paper cones. I ordered the chicken pesto/mozzarella cheese and then the Bananas and Nutella crepe. Their ice cream is ok, but the flavors, such as mango and green tea lack strong flavors, but this is indicative of inexpensive ice creams.
Overall, a good place to hang out and converse, give or take the late night drunk kids coming in for a bite and then the noise level goes up a notch. Just remember that this place only takes cash so be prepared.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Mar 30, 2010
On a gorgeous beautiful day, I made my way over to the highly acclaimed Crepe Temptations. Big glass windows allowed the sunlight to shine through. Few tables and counter seats. The place was almost quiet except for the TV playing softly in the background and the occasional customers strolling in.
There were 2 customers ahead of me, and so I took my time studying the menu. Not only do they have an extensive list of dessert crepes, they also have a long list of savory crepes. I made a mental note to try the Philly cheesesteak or Korean bbq next time.
Crepe: 4 stars - Since it was warm out, I wanted something refreshing and decided against my usual nutella. One fruit, one flavor of ice cream crepe for $4.50. Fresh mango with lychee ice cream!! The mango was perfect; not too ripe but still sweet. The lychee ice cream was delicious; can't go wrong with Polly-Ann ice cream. The crepe was pretty big and I was getting full 2/3 down. I finished the ice cream and was about to throw the rest away. But then, I saw more mangos at the bottom of the cone! Now that is incredible! Usually places will skimp on the ingredients, but not here! The only thing that kept this from being the perfect crepe was the crepe itself. Overcooked and crunchy on the edges!
Service: +1 star - Friendly and attentive. While waiting for my turn to order, the person behind the counter made sure I knew I wasn't being forgotten. He kept telling me that he'll be with me in a moment. And while waiting for my crepe, he'd let me know how far along my crepe is and made sure I was doing okay.
What an awesome place! Can't wait to go back! =DHelpful 20Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - Apr 26, 2010
I haven't had Sophie's in years and have been craving a delicious crepe. Sophie's was so bomb from what I can remember. It was a warm Sunday too, so that also added another reason as to why we came to Crepe Temptations.
I got a strawberry crepe with mango ice cream. He got a Crepe with vanilla ice cream, chopped up Oreos & chocolate sauce. We both agreed that the crepe was too crispy. It flakes off when I bit into it at times...you do not want to see me eat this nor sandwiches from Little Luccas, it's not a pretty sight!
Fruit was fresh, portions are huge, they serve Polly Ann's, prices are reasonable & the guy behind the counter was nice. They also have innovative crepes (like tiramisu crepe) and whole big list of crepes. But, I don't like the crispiness of the crepe. Maybe I'd come back for some ice cream or a drink...but there's other places where I can get those things & Polly Ann's is closer to the bf's house.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0
