Q:
How can I rent an apartment with low credit or no credit history?
A:
You would need a guarantor, usually a relative. Someone who guarantees in writing that the rent will be paid.

Great experience renting with CityWide! Jacob, Mike, and the team put their best foot forward to help me secure an amazing deal on my first apartment in Manhattan. They're extremely efficient and responsive, and I am so excited for my dream apartment in the city.
Would recommend CityWide to anyone looking for top, reliable real estate agents.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha R.Manhattan, New York, NY01Apr 18, 2024
These guys are the best!!! Mike and co helped me find and apply to my dream apartment, and saw me through to signing the lease and getting the keys. They were super hands on and helpful during the application process, clearly telling me everything I needed in a timely manner. This process can be a bit daunting and it was so comforting to know I had experts advocating for me. Cannot recommend city wide enough, everyone in that office is professional, friendly, and great at what they do!!!

This company is ridiculous!
my sister went to get a rental apartment for $2,225 and the rental agent tried to charge her an $18,000 brokerage fee for this apartment.
They are absolute crooks!
This should be illegal and unethical!
DO NOT come here looking for a rental apartment and if you do plan on paying thousands upon thousands of dollars for a brokerage fee.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Erez C.Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY2314Dec 23, 2023
Wow, City Wide really knocked it out of the park! They made finding my apartment easy and stress-free. Super friendly team who really know their stuff - they listened to what I needed and nailed it. Quick to respond to any of my questions too. Totally recommend them if you're looking for a place. Big thumbs up and a solid five stars from me!

First and foremost New York has the
strictest Rental policy is. If you're at the
renter you need to make 40 times the
rent. If you're a cosigner 80 times the
rent it. Make sure you have all your
paperwork they don't play games.

He did a great job helping my daughter.
Get the apt that she wanted. His staff is
on top of all the documents needed.
They request them. You send them.
Forward to the landlord back-and-forth
until everybody's happy and you sign a
contract and move in. Yes long process
lots of paperwork. But he did a great job

Tax returns show over $300k and they still want more... forget that Apt.

My daughter just signed a lease and the listing agent, Andy Rothenberg, was a huge help in acquiring the unit. He was up front and honest about our chances and helped us step by step with the application so that it would stand out. Waiting on the decision was stressful, but Andy communicated with us every day for to keep us at ease. He is so nice and has a great sense of humor. We feel very fortunate in having met him and will definitely use his help with any future needs. Truly awesome.

Natia and Whitney are the best! I worked with Natia to find an apartment and then Whitney was assigned to help me sublet my unit. Both were very professional, sharp, and eager to make my experience seamless. Cannot recommend them enough!

Emily and Colleen were great helping me find my apartment! They were very responsive and showed me a second listing after the first one was not ideal for me. The application and initial signing process was seamless as well! Highly recommend!

Whitney Winfield was my realtor and she was very helpful. This was my first time renting an apt in NYC on my own. There is a fee with City Wide, which is not inexpensive, however I did appreciate the value Whitney added in making everything efficient and seamless.
She was able to answer all of my questions and was a great liaison with management. We were able to close on a deal almost immediately. I would certainly recommend Whitney.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - New York City Guy B.Brooklyn, Brooklyn, NY0174Sep 29, 2022
Ari McKay Wilford is reported to charge a $19,500 broker fee for rent stabilized apartments. I consider this very greedy. I would not use this company.
