Wonderful little cafe! Had a great visit here before our show, stopped for coffee and drinks and also got the Gooey Butter Cake. Wow it was so good!!! The view is pretty great, you can see the Tiger Stadium!! The service was really phenomenal, however the prices are a little high. They don't take tips but prefer a review. I was sad I couldn't try the Monte Cristo, next time maybe!!

Stopped in with my daughter for a quick dinner before a performance at the DHO, and am so glad we did! This is a quaint little restaurant with amazing food, and a great atmosphere. Our server, Jazlyn, was personable, knowledgeable and eager to serve. I had the salmon, and my daughter had a lobster roll sandwich. Both of these dishes were amazing, and worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

This place is really cute and cozy. It's small and perfect for drinks/food before shows. We went to go see Wicked and stopped in here for drinks. For a quick appetizer we got bread and butter to munch on. Against my will, I was forced into trying the red velvet cheesecake;) And let me tell you - DIVINE! Enough said.
For drinks the bartender made me 2 martini drinks as I requested. The drink list is mainly beer and wine but he'll make you what you want. The bartenders are very friendly and cordial. If you're getting close to show time and need to move along, the bartender will serve you your drinks in a to-go cup to take into the performance.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ariel P.Ann Arbor, MI14104Jan 7, 2019
We had pre show dinner and drinks last night before Aladdin. We sat at the bar with Ben as our bartender/server. Ben was awesome...super down to earth and fun to talk to, took excellent care of us, and makes great drinks! My husband and I had the Filet with sweet potato and green beans. Let me tell you...I could eat that meal every single day of the week! The filets were both cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth delicious. The Marsala sauce drizzled over the meal was so good I wanted to like my plate clean. Definitely recommend!!!

Second time is not the charm. We tried to dine here for the second time, and although having a reservation for 5 people (including 2 children), and they couldn't seat us. The reservation was for a "standard table", and they tried to seat us at a round table for 3, then insisted that we sit at the bar?!?! With children?! Is that even legal?! They categorically refused to push 2 small tables together, and we had to leave.
The first time, despite reservations they told us they weren't serving meals, just drinks and snacks, and had we only checked online we would have known that... Of course that would have been our responsibility.
There will not be a third time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine F.Wahiawa, HI551Mar 25, 2018
Cadillac cafe was a very nice place to have a quick lunch before going to the Opera House. Our service from Jazlyn was fantastic and the Southwest Chicken Salad was delicious. It would be great to have a few more menu options.

I was going to see American in Paris at the Detroit Opera House and needed a bite to eat before. My family and I decided to try it out since it was conveniently close and we didn't want to miss the show. The hostess and servers seemed to be very unfamiliar with their own menu. First the menu online was not the same as the menu at the restaurant. Also the hostess apparently gave us the wrong menu so we had to get the correct menu which was starting to get frustrating. I ordered and ice tea and the server kept forgetting to get it. When I finally got it it tasted like chlorine from the pool. The food options went great and small portioned for a expensive price. We got a large Cesar to split for the table but it looked like a side Cesar so I couldn't imagine with the side Cesar was. The Cesar tasted like it came from a gas station it was disgusting. I'll give them props on presentation but it was an allusion. I ended up ordering the quesadillas were inch weren't bad because how can you mess up a quesadilla even though I didn't really come with anything besides sour cream and salsa. My sister got coconut shrimp which came with cocktail sauce! Whoever heard of putting cocktail sauce with coconut shrimp, everyone knows it comes with marmalade sauce. My moms short rib was very dry she was about to choke on it. I don't recommend wasting your money or time on this place since the food and service stank.

The food is good and the chef does a good job, limited menu . Seems like the place is understaffed , no one to greet you, only one bathroom. But since your in a rush to get to the theater it's a connivence to eat here! 3 stars!

Cadillac Cafe is a small pre or post show bar at the Opera House. Nice place to feel ellllegant and sip on a beverage with your pinky in the air LOL.
Went there for a private event and apparently, for all private events, they serve wine (& other cocktails) out of little plastic cups. I was taken aback when I ordered 2 glasses of wine and they came in plastic clubs, then I was asked to pay $9 each for them.
Had a great time -- but can we class it up with a real glass for wine (for the price)?Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Clarissa W.Clermont, FL04Feb 11, 2018
A friend and I went here for lunch before a (fantastic) show. The food was really good - especially the gooey butter cake. The service was outstanding! Our server was Kayla who was friendly and offered great suggestions. The service was also prompt, which is greatly appreciated when you're eating before a show, but never felt rushed. It's a fairly small cafe so I would recommend reservations. The menu is small, but with good choices and I understand it's also tailored the current show.
