During our search for a satisfying Italian meal in Hudson, we stumbled upon Ca'Mea and were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience.
Our order consisted of a delightful array of dishes, including the Pollo Parmigiana, Eggplant Parmigiana, Penne Pesto, Ravioli Della Casa, and Pollo Piccata. Each dish surpassed our expectations, boasting exquisite flavors and impeccable presentation. Personally, the Pollo Piccata stood out as my favorite, with its tender chicken and perfectly balanced flavors. For dessert, we indulged in the Tiramisu, which had a unique appearance but delivered a truly enjoyable taste.
Despite a slight oversight in forgetting our request for a bread basket and a lengthier wait of around 45-50 minutes for the dishes to be prepared, the service was otherwise great
All things considered, Ca'Mea provided us with a superb dining experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of exceptional dining options in Hudson, NYHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 1, 2023
For those growing up on Goodfellas, good Italian food is worth a detour. I always imagine a prep cook, in the kitchen, using a razor, to slice the garlic paper thing, so that it melts in the butter. Ca'mea is this type of place. Everything, from the breadbasket to the tiramisu finish, was top notch. At no point did I feel rushed as I took my time to watch the well-heeled patrons come and go. The restaurant is very well designed with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that are clearly delineated. This gives each area the feel of a much smaller place, while the restaurant seats an impressive amount. Prices are a bit up there, so it's most enjoyed when someone else is picking up the tab, but for those on a budget, it's possible to enjoy an entree, without breaking the bank.

Stopped in on a Thursday evening after seeing the star rating on Yelp.
Loved the restaurant and ambiance!! We sat at bar since we had no reservations and had the pleasure of being served by the young lady bartender. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's a gem!! All the wait staff were very personable and engaging!!
I had the veal chop, which was delicious and husband had the pasta on special. He was very satisfied. After seeing the appetizer of grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto go to another patron, I had to order as well! It was really a treat!
So happy with the whole experience!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Ceara P.Portland, ME158568Nov 19, 2023
The food and cocktails were yummy. The prices were pretty high for this place. They are trying to be fancy, but haven't quite hit the mark on some small things, like menu appearance, service, and bathroom towels.

Loved this restaurant. We had a reservation for 2 on a busy holiday weekend, and although some previous tables had stayed longer than anticipated the host managed to accommodate us. There are 3 distinct seating areas that I saw - the main room with bar, a spacious side room with beautiful decor that we sat in, and a lovely outdoor back patio.
I often eat Italian food and I have a high bar, and the food did not disappoint. Wine pours were generous and reasonably priced. We started with the calamari which was lightly sautéed and delicious, then we each ordered a different pasta dish - both were excellent with large portions. Good service as well. Would go back the next time I'm in Hudson.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - brian b.Los Angeles, CA15311302Aug 3, 2023
Meh. Nice service. The food is just okay. It was mostly just salty and not really complicated. It's not bad it's just that there are other Italian places in town at the same price that I'd rather eat at.

Case closed! Hopefully a real chef will take up something needed in Hudson which is not Italian. Real french bistro or steakhouse please.

No zucchini, corn, eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, etc. apparently owner and chef have never been to Italy. Pasta bolognese? Arugula salad with smoked salmon? An iceberg lettuce salad? Absolutely terrible

Wonderful ambiance in a historic district. Better Italian food than I expected in a small town. I had a perfectly prepared grilled pork chop that fulfilled my every expectation. It was tender, had nice grill marks, and tasted Smokey and good.
What causes me to rank this as less than five stars was the service. It was a bit like a Marx brother's movie. They said that they had problems with their computer system. Every time a dish came out of the kitchen, the servers had to wander around and announce what the dish was and hope that the diners would claim it.
I was supposed to have a surprise tiramisu with a candle for my birthday, a big secret arranged by my mother. However, the staff wondered in with my Tiramisu sans candle. This caused my mother to have a small fit and and lament Loudly to the servers that the dessert should be removed from the bill. A true New York moment. We also had to wait over an hour for a main dishes, which I didn't mind but others in my party did.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dede S.Meridian, ID149235Mar 2, 2022
We are visiting... found this restaurant on help and the hotel Hudson Whaler recommendation page. We checked yelp to find times for today. Wednesday. 12 - 3 lunch, see photo. We walked down only to find a sign on the door saying closed Feb 27 to March 14. EVERYONE GOES BY THE INTERNET. IT TAKES 10 SECONDS TO CHANGE THE INFORMATION ON THE SITE!!!!

We were up in Hudson and decided to try another well rated Yelp restaurant. Ca'mea definitely did not disappoint. Unfortunately, it was a rainy evening so we had to eat inside, but the restaurant is warm and comfortable.
We started with the bufala mozzarella caprese. It was fantastic. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe and perfectly seasoned. The mozzarella was phenomenal. Soft, creamy and tasty. A real stand out of a mozzarella. Hats off to Ca'mea for recognizing that sometimes homemade isn't the best way to go.
For a main course I had the grilled NY Strip steak with herbs and garlic infused olive oil. It was cooked perfectly and the herbs and olive oil really added a lot - something for me to now try at home. My only negative (and it's minor) is that the steak was a little on the thin side.
For dessert I had the tiramisu and it was excellent!
This was a meal I would gladly repeat next time I find myself in Hudson.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1
