I was nervous about renting a car here because of all the negative reviews, but I had a great experience a couple weeks ago. I got the size of car I requested and it was clean. Veda was great at explaining certain aspects of the car to me and she was great explaining the different options with the toll roads there in Austin, which I was not familiar with. She made sure I got a receipt upon returning the car and the other staff members in the room were very friendly. I would definitely rent from them again.

Well, I've never rented from Hertz before but since I was involved in a rear end collision with another party's insurance fronting all the bills, State Farm chose them to get me a replacement vehicle, and Hertz was the shop choice!
I swung by after stopping by my collision shop and was greeted by the friendly lady working at the front desk who took all my info, insurance and deposit. And even let me pick a gun standard/midsize vehicle to drive, which ended up being a Tesla! Smart car for dumb people, yes. Lol. Although there was a learning curve and less than 15% left to charge; there were supercharging stations in proximity and we were also able to charge the vehicle at home.
It's been a stressful few weeks sorting this out being involved in insurance hell but Hertz helping me not walk in this 100 degree summer and getting me in a vehicle to drive around has been much appreciated! Can't wait for my own vehicle to return, my husband will certainly miss our rental, but now we know they're close by if we ever need a fun weekend ride :)Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dustin D.Austin, TX217262Aug 21, 2023
The 2 Clowns running this place are a joke.
I rented 2 trucks from this location for a 1 day rental. I left in a hurry without looking at the rental receipt on my way to the airport. I figured they would have accurate information logged about the vehicles since I've never had this issue with hertz in the past. when I got back from my trip I was shocked at the additional fees they had charge me.
They logged both vehicles as having full tank of gas when they were only 1/4 full. they charged me $98 for not returning a child seat even though I returned it. I was charged $300 more than I should have in fuel and child seat charges I did not accumulate. video and photos of the vehicle I rented show less miles on the odometer than were logged on my rental.
trying to get any answer from hertz customer service is a joke. the employees know this and push the work load off on corporate even though it is their screw up.

I've always has great experiences at Hertz Cedar Park. As a Hertz Gold member, I am able to come in grab my keys and go! This last time, I extra appreciated Nickola. When I walked in I was greeted by Nickola, then she checked my license. After a few questions I was in my rental, in less than 2 minute of arriving. When I had a concern with my rental, Nickola put me in a vehicle that she was more comfortable with. She kept telling me that safety was a priority and she wanted me to feel safe. During the entire process, she was friendly. When stopped her in the parking lot while she was helping another customer, she let know she would help after she finished with that customer. They typically have a great car selection.

The vehicle i originally reserved this week had an issue with the seat but Derrick (Manger) took care of it right away. I felt like Derrick treated me like family. He was very friendly and easy to talk with while he reviewed each part of the vehicle, even taking pictures of any damage. I definitely recommend Hertz Cedar Park location.

This Cedar Park location is in a small strip mall and it doesn't have a ton of car options. The person that helped me was lovely and was kind enough to upgrade my vehicle. But to be fair, he did it because the car they were planning on giving me had a broken trunk latch, and I needed to use the trunk space for my trip.
As much as the upgrade was nice, the car did come with an almost empty tank of gas, so my first stop was to Costco to get it filled up.

November 2023 was told by Muyiwa is just $50.00 hold ... Was too go my Daughters insurance as was hit by Red Light Runner . March 2024 Hertz wiped out my RBFCU Account for $1700.00 with out Notice ? To this day my account is Froze under with many Fees . My savings gone and checking account has my SSI was gone .. Help ?

This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been to. The counter staff is rude and not helpful at all. Extremely unprofessional

I'll begin with that the gentleman who helped me was really really nice. If I were just rating him it would be 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately the car I was provided was at best a 3 star. Someone had clearly smoked in the car before I had it because although the fabric of the car didn't smell, you could smell it coming from the air filter every time you started it up. And while the inside of the car was clean, the outside had clearly not been washed. In addition, the Service Due notification came on during my trip. I will likely use the Round Rock location instead in the future.

I returned the vehicle on May 19th 2023. I paid all fees including outrageous toll fees. Outrageous convenience fees. Still awaiting $400 deposit. Paid well over $7000. The other day they attempted to draft $245 in toll fees. I've tried on numerous attempts to contact them . Good luck trying to reach someone. I am so frustrated with Hertz. I DO NOT owe any tolls. Haven't had the vehicle in two weeks. I believed the person that's driving the car is connected to my account. This journey has been a complete nightmare. I was told by a Hertz administrator that I would be getting an answer on my deposit in two business days. It's been 5 days with no response. I COMPLETELY advise not to do business with company. Especially being a Diamond Uber Driver.

Spent $6378.90 in rental fees including battery charges. Also spent $881.96 in extreme toll fees. Hertz has a $ 9.90 convenience fee daily to use the toll road(outrageous). They do not disclose that information during rental purchase. After closing my account because they failed to tell drivers they no longer accept debit cards. Did not give me any further options. This caused me to be out of work for a week. The weekly taxes are extremely high. They have a vehicle tax, 10% sales tax and daily toll conveniences tax. I have been a UBER Diamond driver for 8.5 years with over 20,000 trips. I loss much income leasing from Hertz. Extreme nightmare. Their billing system is horrendous. I'm awaiting my deposits. Maybe something good will come out this .
May 25, 2023Previous reviewI started renting from Uber Hertz in late February 2023. I rented a Tesla. First of all they never disclose the toll convincence fee of $9 plus dollars per day. I have paid so much crazy fees. I've spent well over $ 6000 in rental fees within 3. 5 months. This is my problem. I went to renew my lease and was told we no longer accept debit cards. Keep in mind I've paid thousands of dollars. Never had a single problem with me. They gave no notice to drivers to uses debit card. They gave me no other options. Just I'm sorry they said.REALLY!! Had to leave the car and catch an Uber to Round Rock. It has made unemployed for now over a week after having being an Uber driver for 9 years. I reason I used Hertz rental was because the engine went bad in my Chrysler 300C. Hertz customer service is NOT compassionate. I highly recommend NOT to use Hertz.There billing system is horrible. I still believe they owe me $ 582. After closing my account after I was told I had a zero balance they still took another week of rental without me having the vehicle . I spoke with there billing department. No help there. Take my advice. DO NOT USE Hertz rental program. TOLL Fees will kill you!!

I completely agree with all the other reviews saying don't come here. This was a horrible experience. I book online. The morning of pick up, they tell me they have no cars and to call another location. I call the other location and they hung up on me twice. I call back this location and ask for them to cancel. He said he cancelled it. He called back two hours later and told me it wasn't cancelled and that I needed to call a number to cancel. I told him I don't have time for that so he said he would call. He did call and hung up as soon as he automated message come on and left me on the phone. I was on hold for 20 minutes. I will never be going to hertz again.
