I came here for freedom fest and a few car shows in the past and I've always had a blast.
The parking spaces are separated and organized and huge!
The theater itself is a nice venue. No matter where you sit you can see pretty clearly and if for some reason you can't they have to jumbo screen on either side. There is a whole grass land behind the chairs so while the show is going on you can lounge around up there or toss a frisbee.
The sounds for concerts are impeccable! Nice and clear and is amplified even if you are all the way up in the parking lot.
The one star that I docked was for the food vendors they have and the cleanliness.
The food vendors ran out of food when I was at freedom fest before the night is even over. They should really take that into consideration and hire some different vendors if that's gonna happen. Also the cleanliness during the shows that I've been to hasn't really been great. They should be driving around in a gold cart occasionally changing the trash!
Other than that this is a cool venue for a show and nice place to hang out for a festival or anything gathering like that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Frank D.Suffolk, NY3633119Jul 8, 2014First to Review
The Brookhaven/Pennysaver Amphitheater is a fun place to go. They also have a ways to go in terms of construction. They could take a page from other outdoor areas. Cover the seats, better speakers, they have a bar with a deck, but it's hard to see the stage from up there. The concessions are ok and the beer choice is absolutely horrible. Corona or Coors light. What am I 16???? What about Blue Point, Great South Bay or any of our local brews? That would have been a much better way to go. Or at least get a beer truck from one of those places. Great place for a concert if you get a seat. Oh and parking there, unless you want to catch a bus from town hall, get there early. The place will pack out.

We only live maybe 5 minutes away so figured we'd give it a try for Chris Stapleton this past week despite the lousy reviews. You know something? They were right! Not worth the hassle. We didn't even park inside (for $25!), we parked at town hall and walked, but so did about a thousand others! They had packed shuttle buses that we could not be bothered with. When we left, there was a huge argument between some idiots upon entering the bus after waiting on this huge line! Speaking of idiots, you have your share there for sure, we saw 2 fights, one idiot getting ejected after about the 3rd Stapleton song! We bought the seats (u can keep the lawn section) and our area the seating is low levels, u get a block in front of you no matter how tall they are. At leadt everyone sat in our area, no jerks standing up and dancing blocking people. The beer lines are unreal , not that i would stand there for an overpriced beer for an hour, but they did. Thats why doors open at 5pm, to sell beers and whatever. No showtime, just doors open time. Then came time to leave, we walked with the thousand others, look out for the poison ivy sticking out from the fence, got to our cars and just sat and watched the others in line to get out for nearly an hour, and we are at the town hall parking! Disgraceful, non caring venue.
