BJ the Clown

What a wonderful addition to a children's party! BJ came to visit yesterday and kept our group of 20 3-6 y/os in fits of giggles for his entire performance. The adults were captivated too. His performance was full of practical jokes and magic tricks with lots of hilarious gaffs along the way. He finished up by sculpting balloon swords, hats and animals for each of the children at lightning speed (and while wearing his clown gloves no less). What a legend!

We hope to see you again someday BJ!

The kiddos had a blast :) BJ entertained the kids, was on time, and very easy to do business with.

I attended a 5 y/o birthday party and this guy was so much fun!! He was entertaining and the kids were totally engaged the entire show! Especially appreciated his sensitivities to special needs children in attendance and modulated the loud sounds and other aspects of the show to make sure all the kids could enjoy themselves. Highly recommend for kids birthday parties!

BJ is simply the best there is! My son has multiple special needs that we told BJ about before we hired him for my son's birthday party. BJ heard us and tailored his show to what would work for my son. BJ executed everything perfectly! My son was able to participate just like all the other children, and had an amazing time!! All the other kids also had a wonderful time laughing and enjoying the show as well. The laughs never stopped! If you have a child with any kind of special needs, do not hesitate to talk to BJ about what he can do for you. His act is truly something special that shouldn't be missed!

We just hired BJ for our son's 5th birthday. He is amazing!! We had seen him once before and my son couldn't stop talking (and laughing) about him since then. He was so excited to have him at his party. He is wonderful with ALL ages. He involved the older kids (ages 7-9) and even the adults couldn't stop raving about him after the show. He's so wonderful I'd give him 6 stars!

I hired him to entertained about a dozen children ages 2-12 at a company picnic. He was a huge hit with all the kids... and the parents/grandparents.

Our event was outside @ Wilshire Park. BJ integrated the large trees into his entertainment, which was great. He brought two large nylon parachutes for the kids to sit on while he entertained them.

His balloon sculptures were AMAZING!!! Even the adults were impressed. Animals, fancy hats, swords, all very cool.

Some of the toddlers (2-3 yrs) were fidgety and couldn't stay sitting. BJ was incredibly patient and just let it all roll into his act.

We hired him for 2 hrs and it was worth every penny.

We had BJ come to our daughters 7th Birthday party. Honestly speaking she was never a fan of clowns and some of the other guests were nervous about a clown. And many had never seen a clown before and were skeptical about the idea. However BJ was not only a great professional but he had all 20+ kiddos laughing their heads off.....

His show was funny and had plenty of audience involvement. Even the parents were laughing just as much as the kiddos.

BJ's performance was the hit of our party and many parents were more than impressed. One parent said that he is the "best clown" they had ever seen perform.

A previous clown I looked into kinda soured me to the idea of hiring one and BJs name kinda caused me to raise an eyebrow. However we hired him for my sons party and he was incredible. Just the sweetest man. He focused on entertaining the whole group of kids while making my son the center of attention. He still likes to talk about it. Fantastic work and I would hire again (probably don't have a choice...).

BJ the Clown is a true professional who brings "bucket-loads" of fun and laughter to the party!

We are recent arrivals to Portland and we were looking for something to make our son's 5th birthday party really special. After much searching we came up with a list of magicians, pirates, musicians, and entertainers of all stripe and variety. I then came across an article in the Oregonian about BJ the Clown entitled, "Portland's B.J. the Clown is serious about making kids laugh." I liked the fact that he was truly committed to children and had been in the clowning business for 18 years.

This isn't just some part-time thing for him, he is a true professional and I can attest to what the other Yelpers are saying here...he was on time, ready for action, and immediately mesmerized a group of unruly 4-6 year olds with interactive magic, games, jokes and custom-made balloons. BJ the clown was a HUGE hit with all of the children and the parents as well.

Money well spent if you want a stress free awesome birthday party for your child. BJ had the kids laughing their hearts out, he makes the birthday child feel special but also has games and fun that includes each child. Parents weeks after still come up to me saying how much fun their child had at the party. Happy we hired him!!
