      Have been going to Bettner for twenty years. Dr. B is great, personal. Office staff is a little iffy, but usually acceptable

      I've been going here for the past 13 years. Dr. Bettner is great and I've never had a problem until now. I don't know if they have new office staff but it's been very hard to get ahold of anyone just to order contacts. They don't answer the phone, send a message to text or call you back, and then they don't call or text when it's convenient and I've been trying to get ahold of them for days now. The receptionist doesn't seem to have customer service skills and was not very helpful and seemed to not know how everything worked. It's a shame cause the eye doctors are great.

      Called three times about a bill that I want to pay that I had questions about . They don't return calls. They just sent me another bill!!! It appears this office is not run well.

      We have been going to Bettner for many years and the service was good. But our last visit was not good and they made no effort to correct the problem. The front desk was rude and would not let me speak to the Dr about the problem. They simply said I would need to make another appointment and pay again for another examIne. Very frustrating! They are more interested in collecting your money than providing care.

      10/10 hands down best experience!
      Dr.Brendan Tobler OB was great and really informative on my prescription. He explained everything down to the T.
      His entire staff is absolutely sweet and welcoming!
      I can't wait for my next eye exam because I plan on coming here with my family now.

      I've been going to Bettner Vision for several years.
      I believe they have excellent doctors and even with recent employee turnover, as a whole, they still have a good staff.
      My problem is this:
      If I'm paying top of the line pricing for glasses, (If I remember correctly my sunglasses were approximately $850-$900), I don't expect to get surprise bills.
      Around 3 months ago I had an eye exam at Bettner. I have AARP insurance as well as the best supplement you can get. (Due to macular degeneration in my eyes, I have received eye exams and shots in my eye every 6 weeks for years from a myriad of Doctors and optometrists here and in Denver, and I have never had to pay a co-pay or any additional fees.)
      This week I received a bill from Bettner for $40 for a refractive fee (evidently part of the eye exam.)
      At the time of my exam there was no mention of this cost or I would've paid it at that time. Other eye exams required no additional fees and it came as a surprise to me. I no longer make as much money as I used to and surprise 3 month old bills are not welcome. I called to question the bill during normal business hours, and got a recording that they would call me back. That didn't help my mood. Lol Evidently their time was a higher priority than my time.
      The young lady who called me back the next day wasn't rude but certainly wasn't understanding why i was questioning a bill that was months old that I never knew about in the first place. I will send them their $40 but probably won't be back. Between their high prices, the declining service, and the surprise bills, I'll have to find someone else.
      It's sad to me because I liked the doctors and their long time receptionist is the best.

      I've been going to Bettner Vision for almost 15 years now. My kids have all gone there and I recently needed to address some near-sited issues due to aging. I have always loved this office and the front staff were always friendly, until now. Not sure what happened but the front staff are completely disorganized and customer service is terrible. Let me provide you a high-level summary. I was prescribed contacts for the first time which they sent me home with to try on and see if I liked. They didn't work for me so about 1-2 weeks after my initial appointment, I called and asked if I could come back or just have the doctor prescribe some new ones since the two different kinds weren't solving the problem. I was told I'd have to come back in but that I'd have to wait over 8 weeks to be seen again. For a follow-up!? I explained the situation and she replied that this was the earliest time they could see me. So I made the appointment and finally went in last week at which time, they prescribed some new ones. Granted, I never saw the doctor. I saw maybe his nurse practitioner? Not sure, but whomever she was, she was very impersonal and she acted as if I was waisting her time. Anyway, she gave me a new set to try and I took it home and tried it on only to discover that my vision was worse. So once again I called back and asked to be seen for my third follow-up. They offered me an 8am appointment at which time I told them I'd have to leave no later than 8:40am as I had a meeting I needed to attend at 9am. They assured me it would be no problem. That was this morning. After waiting more than 40 minutes, without being seen by the doctor, and waiting for his recommendation of next steps, I left and rushed to make my 9am meeting. I then called around noon to ask if I could just pick up the new prescription or speak with someone about next steps but never even received a call back! This is horrible service and although I like Dr. Bettner himself, I will be looking for a new doctor immediately.

      I want to take a moment of my time to express how much I was impressed with Bettner Vision. I had heard a radio commercial that had a good feel to it and being in the market for a good pair of prescription sunglasses and actively seeking another optometry shop I decided to give Bettner a visit. I am sure glad I did. Bettner will be my go to for all my glasses from now on.
      All the persons I came in contact with were very professional. I worked directly with several individuals and all were a pleasure throughout the entire process, from my first phone contact to my pick up & fitting.
      A special thanks to Caitlin for her grace and patience while I made my selection. I believe she guided me to a perfect final outcome. I am thoroughly impressed with my new Maui Jim's! Better than I would have even imagined.
      I highly recommend Bettner for service and product.

      I would consider going back if everyone in there wasn't a salesman.
      Every single person I came across- front desk, person leading me to exam room, doctor, lady helping me choose a pair of glasses, & someone I didn't notice until the end of my appointment- tried selling me. On contacts, upgrading the eyeglass wear, everything.
      All very pushy, explaining to me that insurance would take care of it, all I had to do was sit for a contact exam.
      I wanted a simple eye exam. Not take advantage of my insurance for you.

      Wonderful customer service with an excellent amount of time committed to helping find exactly what you need. Great price for all the work they do as well. I can't say enough great things about this place!
