VCA Baring Boulevard Animal Hospital

The staff at VCA have now saved our pup's life twice! The first time he was diagnosed with Addison's disease, and the second time with bladder stones.

We are regular visitors, since our little guy now needs daily & monthly meds, and I won't take him anywhere else. The wait times are sometimes a bit long, due to the fact that they are an urgent care center as well, but we love the service and knowledge of their staff!

I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great care for their fur babies.

I brought my 2 chihuahuas here for an exam and for one of them to get their vaccines.
I'll start by saying how wonderful and nice the staff is. They're personable, and my dogs are comfortable with them for the most part. I say for the most part because chihuahuas have a certain type of attitude.
For both their checkup, 1 of my dogs 3 vaccines, and my other dogs allergy shot, it came out to $355. Their exam/consultation cost $81. From there, you can ask the price of anything and they'll tell you.
I brought Bo here the day before to the urgent care, and of course, that will cost more. Just the urgent care cost is $108 starting. I recommend coming early because it can get busy.
I don't have insurance for my dogs, but I do know they offer a monthly paid care plan through their website. So, all the prices I listed could be different after insurance. I'm not sure about that, but like I said, you can always ask the staff for the actual price after insurance.
They also have an app you can download that has all their documents uploaded after the visit.
Their waiting room is so cute and has many supplies in the front you can buy. I recommend this place because the staff here definitely treats them with care.
Also, I love that they have their waiting room separated. One half is for small dogs and cats, and the other side is for big dogs. It keeps it safe and predictable for everyone in the building.

The VCA Barring Vet is a wonderful and caring Veterinarial hospital on Barring Blvd in Sparks. These are all of my animals that Dr. Clark, Dr. Perrera and Dr. Thompson have seen and helped through out the many many years
I have been taking my animals here.
It is a clean and friendly place.
The right side is for doggies and the left side is for cats.

This year I have lost two animals I have had for many years of my life. Max my doggie of 14 years and Lola my beautiful white cat of 10 years.

Dr. Perrera for Max and Dr. Clark for Lola, were both so kind and caring. It is very hard to know when it is time to say good bye.
Thank you Barring Vet hospital for all you do for the animals you take care of, and the family's who love their animals. Coffee, water, cookies and the pioneer lady cooking beef stroganoff, while you wait to go in with your pet. All the wonderful staff front and back who care so much about our animals and take their jobs seriously.
We will start our hydrolyzed dog food for 8 weeks to see if
Aki's skin gets better. Another adventure.

We have been taking our dog, Leroy, to Dr. Jackie Pulver for a few years now, and I must say, the level of care and attention we have received is nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Pulver has consistently demonstrated not only a high degree of professionalism but also genuine compassion and understanding towards Leroy.

On each visit, Leroy is greeted with warmth and kindness, which really helps in easing his anxiety. Dr. Pulver takes the time to thoroughly examine him and explains all the procedures in a way that's easy to understand. Her approach is always gentle and reassuring, making sure Leroy is comfortable throughout the check-ups. She offers helpful advice and answers any questions we might have. It's clear that her commitment to animals extends beyond the clinic walls.

I highly recommend Dr. Jackie Pulver to any pet owner who seeks a veterinarian who combines expertise with a heart. Her exceptional care has made a significant difference in Leroy's health and well-being, and for that, we are truly grateful.

Ridiculously expensive now! It's $82 as soon as the vet enters the room! Before any shots, treatment or tests are administered. So if you have four pets like I do, there's no multiple pet discount and right away, I'd be spending an extra $80 when compared to most other vets in the area to have everyone seen here. That's so outrageous!

VCA has really changed things for the worse. They aren't open on Sundays anymore and they've cut their other hours too.
Also, if your beloved needs urgent care, there's a big fat additional fee for that too!
I still think that Dr. Baker and Dr. Mansfield are the best but I'm not a millionaire yet so I cannot afford to pay those sky high prices. I've been a Baring customer for over 20 years and there are no loyalty discounts either! I really feel like I need to be a millionaire to keep getting care for them here.

I've had to go elsewhere, at least for now, because I've been priced out of the VCA Baring market. I'm so unhappy...

I brought my dog in for a flu shot. They told me to just walk in for a booster in 4-6 weeks.
I came at 6 weeks and was told they recently talked to the manufacturer and can't do boosters at 6 weeks.
Now they want to charge me for a whole new visit to start his shots over again. Borderline fraudulent in my opinion. Take your animals somewhere else

We Love the Excellent, Caring Professionals at VCA. Our Nurse, Serena is So Loving and Sweet. She really made my cat, Chloe feel Comforted and Cared for. Our Doc, Dr. Mansfield has been a Healthcare Giver for over 40 years. What a Wonderful Provider for Our Baby Girl, Chloe. He went the extra mile to make sure she got the Very Best Care....We will only bring our Furry Kids, Major and Chloe to the Fantastic Folks at VCA. Thanks Again!!!!
