I update this review as I stand in line. Although I have been here for quite a few minutes, I've already been spoken to twice. They are booming busy but Billy keeps his composure and treats everyone kindly.

I can't recommend this place enough. From Billy, to his kind and attentive staff, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

Shout out to Billy, the best sales rep I've personally ever got to witness. Always helpful and will hook you up if there is a cheaper price with same quality. This the third time I've been lucky enough to get him to help me and for that reason I will never go to another shop!

Thank you Billy, give the man a raise!

My car battery died on me and left me stranded close to the shop but still at a distance, I called to see if they had any battery chargers and before I knew it a man named Jaden pulled up on me in the dope blue ford pickup and helped me out by his own merit and didn't even let me tip him or nothing. Definitely will come here when i need tires!!

This place is great! Everyone is helpful and friendly, and they take care of you right away!! They have a dedicated lane to pull in for a quick tire check and air fill. For a more detailed question, they walk out to look at your vehicle to inspect and advise. The service is amazing.

Long story short, I was in a rental car away from home in Reno, NV and got a nail in my tire. Tire started going flat fast. Tried first a handful of service station air boxes, all of which were either in disrepair or out-of-order. Stress level startin' to kick in big time. 1 of the service stations with no air referred me to the good folks here at Discount Tire for emergency help. All the crew starting with intake assessment guy Alex were really cool. ANDDD, took care of my flat FREE of charge (plug-patch repair). Which was really cool, because I wasn't looking to come out of pocket for a rental car (likely a non-reimbursable expense). Crew had me back out on the road within a workable 2 1/4 hr. timeframe. Tidy solution all other options considered, as the tire likely wouldn't have made it home with just air alone. Summing up, if you're a local Renoite or out-of-towner needing emergency flat repair--and assuming you can safely make it here--Discount Tire has a welcoming & accommodating policy for such situations. They're also a full-staffed, full-service shop for all your tire + custom wheel needs. Shop's also ideally situated steps from a 7-11 & various fast food choices to pass the wait time easier. Came to discount tire to get some work on my trailer. Called the day before and they told me to come on by and drop it off the next day. I showed up in the morning, waited a few minutes to see someone and showed them what needed to be done, paid and was told it would be ready at 1:30. That time comes and goes and I call them around 2:30 to find out when it will be ready. By this time all plans and any ability to plan anything has gone out the door, I'm told it will be ready 4:00-4:30. Following the app and seeing no update I decided to show up at 5:30 and they just started.

As someone who worked in this industry it just frustrates me that they couldn't even be bothered to give me an update or a call to let me know there was a delay. All of our time is valuable and they have. I respect for others time. Unfortunately I wasn't the only person frustrated with their challenges customer service, there seems to be quite a few upset customers that day. If you want to make plans around your all day tire service I suggest you look elsewhere.

Made an appointment to have all four of my tires replaced on my beautiful, very beloved GMC Yukon. Generally go to Tires Plus, have been for the last 13 plus years, and have never been overly disappointed! The prices are always fair and the staff do the best they know how, but mostly the prices are always fair, great really! And in comparison to all other brand spanking new tires in town, their prices simply cannot be beat. Had a slow leak on a single tire and was on the verge of coming into my fourth year w these puppies, so needed to get into somewhere as quickly as possible! Called Discount Tires and they were able to get me in that very day and that they did!
Spoke with Billy who was also the representative that we met at the front desk, he is an absolutely amazing human being!! His customer skills are his certainly one of his top strengths, he truly knows how to make you feel like you're the only person in the room that matters. Highly friendly, excellent sales man, and is as cool, calm and collected as a cucumber! The man definitely knows his stuff! He checked me in, quoted the time my transaction would be completed and that it was! Sometimes (I'm sure many of u know) this is not the case! Nevertheless I paid my bill and was on my way! Called, picked up my vehicle and what a most wonderful job to completion this very magnificent establishment did! My tires are stunning and I have Billy and Discount Tires to thank! Highly recommend this location if you're looking to get in and out, great customer service and quality workmanship! Thank you Discount Tires in Northwest Reno!

Consumer beware.

I bought winter tires for both of my vehicles using TireRack.com. The tires were delivered to this location and I had an appointment for each vehicle to switch out the tires.

First appointment:
1. Despite having an appointment, they did not service my car for 1 hour. The majority of my time was waiting for the car to be brought back.

2. I had the receipt for the purchase. I communicated the purchase to the employee doing intake. He had a digital version as well, including the make/model of my car, etc. I explained I had 2 sets of tires (one for the other car). They took my car back but informed me they had a "problem". The tires didn't fit. They were trying to put my SUV tires on my sedan, despite repeated communication that I had 2 separate vehicles.

Second appointment:
1. One hour wait again for the car to be back, despite having an appointment time.

2. My wife brought her car in. Despite the tires being paid for online, they charged her in store for the tires (partially her mistake, as I told her we paid already).

3. proceeded to install the wrong tires. Someone else's tires, it would seem.

This place is a total clown show. Do not use this location.

Phone rings for a long time without answering
Bad service for business and customers to not have anyone answering the phone.

I ordered new tires from Discount Tires. When ordering I confirmed the new tires wouldn't rub, they confirmed. When I went in to get my tires done, they quoted me an hour. An hour in my car was still sitting in the parking lot, it took 2 hours total and when I went to get my car the technician informed me that only 3 out of 4 tires arrived in the order so I would need to come back in for the 4th. When I left the store I found out the front tire rubs. They said they would call when it arrived, 2 days later, I called them to check the status of the tire and they said it had arrived. When I went back to get the 4th tire put on I asked about the rubbing and how they could fix it, they said they wouldn't be able to fix it and instead they recommend I CUT a piece of my car off to prevent the rubbing. They also informed me after the service they don't align the tires.

I left, went across to Big O tires. They aligned the tires, stopped the rubbing and had me in and out in 30 minutes.

I will never be going back to Discount Tires.
