When things lately haven't been going right for me, I figured getting my
rent-a-car would include a few problems.
The sweet girl Taylor behind the desk was such a doll! She had everything ready for me, brought me out to the car, asked if I'm familiar with certain features and I was on my way. Why can't life be this easy?!! The employees will just talk to each other for 15 minutes about their personal life while I'm waiting and keep in mind I'm the only one there.
The cars are extremely dirty and they expect you to fill the tank when you leave cause the car is already on empty??
So when I come best believe I'm drop off the car how I got it and I took pictures before and after.
They say their open at 8:00am but I got there they told me they open at 9:00am.

They don't ever answer their phones. I just wanted to make sure my reservation was progress. I didn't get a confirmation email or anything.

Do not pick up here this place is BS they sit and talk for hours while u wait several employees and only one is checking in plan ahead if you do this staff are lazy as heck

Google and yelp say Office open at 8am but they open at 9am. They dont even have the open sign at the front door. How come ???

Overbooked and thanks Hertz, you managed to notify me the night before my trip leaving me without transportation. Booked three weeks in advance.

I finally decided to call Hertz Customer Service again-they NEVER called back. Initial complaint was never documented and they do not call back unlike what I was told. Anywho, the only thing offered for my situation was a $50 Hertz credit toward my 'next' rental. Uh, no. I tried to save every bit I could since my vehicle was in the shop for at least a week, so I used my AAA account to get a discounted rental. HUGE mistake. Uber dropped us off only to find it was temporarily closed. I called AAA and my adult son called one of the numbers on the door. The Harbor/Adams-Costa Mesa location was the next closest. Unfortunately the woman who answered was little help. She had to see if a vehicle was available, yes. Could they send someone to pick us up, no. So we pay for another Uber. Arrive at next location, clerk was short and unfriendly, wow! No apology, no attempt to rectify the situation, nothing. We finally were handed the keys and directed to the car only to see that it was super compact, not sure my son would even fit in the car. No other cars available unless I want to pay $40 more per day for an SUV, not on this budget. So fine we'll take the car, whatever. My son and I did the walk around check in the vehicle, without the clerk. White car, visibly dirt, yellow bird poop splatters all over, scratches, paint chips, scratched up bumper, ugh. But wait, expired registration? Yep. This is not happening. Went back in and explained to the clerk the issues and still no solution. You know what? I'm done. The manager, Michelle, says my adult son was inappropriate with his language on the phone earlier. Umm, you know what? He absolutely was after you were rude and unhelpful. I replied with-you know what is inappropriate? Renting vehicles from a closed location and being unwilling to rectify the situation! Keys return, put the money back in my card. We walk down the street to Enterprise rentals, 15 minutes, completely satisfied, and the clerk upgraded my vehicle because of my trouble with Hertz and having to walk to their location. 1st and last time I use Hertz, regardless of price.

Regarding 2019 Nissan Maximum blue/black I rented; that vehicle has been in a major wreck; The quality of the repair is pathetic!! Btw the whole car was filthy (Hertz of Fountain Valley should be thankful there where no BED BUGS involved) Vehicle was unsafe to drive due to poor quality of repairs!

How do you even recommend a business/company that DOESN'T answer their calls? I have a reservation I need help with & have tried contacting them ALL day only to have them hang up on me when I'm in que on the automated line to speak w/a customer service rep. This is more of a DIS service to your customers How they have a 2 star rating instead of a 1 or NO star rating is beyond me. Apparently there's not just a chip shortage but a lack of professional etiquette shortage happening in this company. If their in person service is remotely as unprofessional as their phone service, I really dread having to deal with this company. All I can say I'd if you haven't dealt w/this location, do yourself a favor & DON'T!
