Ankeny Towing

Fast and safe. Driver was experienced and kind. Tow was reasonably priced, too. I was grateful for that. I would recommend this service.

If I was able to give no stars I would. I had a driver sit outside my home for 45 minutes. No knock, No phone call that my truck was being picked up. The driver than decided he was going to take a joy ride in my truck. He must not have realized it had a GPS tracker in it. When I called to make the report a gentleman said he'd call me back and never did! I suggest never allowing your vehicles to be towed by this company!

Quick, courteous, helped me push the girl into garage and even lended his last expertise as a race truck and race car owner to listen and give some possible diagnoses. Great dude who is owner!

This guy listened to my story on the phone until I asked him for a quote -- some potential business when the weather has been nice, y'know? He says, "I'll be right back with that," and surreptitiously hangs up. Sure enough, I'd been sitting there listening to silence for the better part of 2 minutes. "Oh," I thought. "We got disconnected."
He put me through to voicemail on my next 4 attempts.
Listen to your instincts and the other reviews on this one. This little man doesn't like his little job, doesn't like his little life, REALLY dislikes his customers.

The person who got my car out of the ditch did a quick job and I was on the road again very quick. Price wasn't too high either.

Waited over 2 1/2 hours and when initially called, I was told they could pick up me and my wife. The driver refused to let my wife ride and stated the half a mile isn't too far to walk. He also stated there wasn't enough room and there definitely was if he moved his lunch box. He didn't realize she had severe back issues and is now in severe pain after the walk. The driver was not pleasant and did not directly communicate with me the entire time. Blasted very loud music and drove very fast through the DMACC campus. When my vehicle was delivered, the driver bottomed out (scraped) the bottom of my vehicle. Will never use this towing company again. Very bad customer service and respect for others vehicles.

I wish I could give more stars. My daughters car decided to die in my drive way. Couldn't get the key out, or even put it in nuetral. I tried to jump it, but it didn't work. We didn't know what to do, so we decided to call Ankeny Towing and just have it taken to our dealership. I get really nervous about dealing with mechanics and towing services as an army widow (my late husband would know basic mechanical terms and have some common sense, I, however, could easily be convinced my flux capacitor needs replacing and shell out x amounts of dollarals to do so!). The man they sent (I didn't get his name, but the strong built ginger who was amazing!) did everything in his power to protect my daughters car while trying to ensure I didn't spend more money than needed. This company could have easily taken advantage of the situation and charged us a great deal for a difficult tow, but they went above and beyond to help a Gold Star family. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ankeny Towing is the BEST service and has the BEST people working there. I had to call them last week when I was not able to get it started after I stopped for gas and they were not only quick, but really nice and made my night a lot better. This morning I had to call them again because I thought I was having the same issue and again they were super quick and the guy actually got in and checked it out before towing and figured out what I was doing wrong. Again #1 service and a huge THANK YOU to the 2 guys that helped me you are the greatest!!!
