I've used advanced filter and mechanical on a few jobs, including an entire updated electrical panel swap, as well as other HVAC related items. Their work is solid. Yes you will pay a premium compared to some others.

Great customer service, quality work and good value. I enjoy using a small business and try to do that whenever possible. This company will definitely take care of your homes heating needs and generators.

Home Depot contracted them to install our A/C unit in 2015. There have been problems from the beginning. No communication after installation when we inquired about poor cooling on the second floor. Zero. The unit had faulty parts the contractor knew about that we had to repair at our expense the very next year. Fast forward to May 2021, we had the unit serviced normally. June 22, the air blows out but not cold all while the unit sits silently outdoors. At the hefty price of over $7000 this is beyond less than acceptable.

Run Run RUN away from this company! I am aghast at how this company has survived all these years by treating the customers the way they do. If there is an issue with the install or with an inspection, it is always the customer's fault - they accept no responsibility for any of their actions. Just read the reviews on all review sites to see their response to a customer that is not happy - you can tell that they accept no responsibility.
I am even more surprised that somehow they have an A+ rating with the BBB with all the complaints they have had in their years. We filed a complaint with the BBB and while we thought there would be some kind of arbitration or something that would encourage them to accept their responsibilities, there was nothing. We decided in the end, we would allow the complaint to stand on the BBB site as an example of how people are treated. If you read our complaint dated 8/9/17 all the way through, you will see where the NEW owner contradicts himself many times and tries to transfer the blame for wrongdoing to us.
Take the time and do your own research - this company does not care about anything but getting your money - they do not care about doing the right thing or taking care of a customer.
We found the Washington Labor and Industry site where you can see the outcome of all inspections. I did a search for Advanced Filter from 3/1/17 to 5/1/17, and a search for another Lennox dealer, Brennan Heating, for the same dates. Advanced Filter had 26 permits, and 6 were initially denied and required corrections (including ours). Brennan Heating had more than 10 pages of permits, and after 20 permits I only found 1 permit denied for something besides "premises locked, no access". This sample shows that appx 1/5 of all their installs fail inspections on the first time through. This also means to the consumer that you will have to stay home from work on more days than initially discussed.
Overall, I would NOT recommend this company! I would recommend that you have your neighbor who doesn't know his way around a wrench install your appliance before allowing this company in your home.

We bought a new thermostat (same manufacturer and model) and my husband installed it yesterday. Today our new furnace company came out and sure enough the furnace fan now works with the thermostat. In my eyes, this is proof that Advanced Filter damaged the thermostat on installation and did nothing to accept the responsibility of their actions.
A year later and still no acknowledgement of their poor service and disrespectful attitudes.

Scheduled to have a diagnostic check for my A.C home unit. Was given a 2 hour window time frame (3pm-5pm). No heads up from the company or the technician. I called around 4:50 pm to find out the status of his arrival, they checked on it and said he would be there soon. Long story short he's an hour past due the time frame given. No comp or discount was offered by the company when i called to check on the status of technician. If your given a time, show up in a timely matter and get the job done. Customer service means go above and beyond for the customer and do the right thing. I will for sure let people know about my experience. i will take my business somewhere else. learned my lesson.

We were charged $$ for a problem that was never solved. We were previous customer that bought a new furnace and tankless water heater from them. We even referred them to family, neighbors and my clients. We have never had an issue with their service until now.
The customer service and quality of their techs seems to have diminished once you become an existing customer. This is not how a business should be treating their customers that has spent $$ with them within the last few years and has referred them. Run, don't walk away from these guys. And, don't let them clean your ducts. They are incompetent, and even refuse to handle a warranty repair on a failed system in the winter.

We live in Olympia and had them come install A/C and a new thermostat for our home. They are GREAT!!! The price was very reasonable especially considering all that had to be done. Juan and Kai showed up right on time and were very personable and knowledgeable. They were just fine working around our pets and they took the time to explain it all to me since I was not there where they came out to give us a quote. They took the time to lay tarps all the way from the door they used to enter the house all the way to the second floor where the attic access is. This company and their crew are just genuinely pleasant and great to do business with. Having the A/C and new thermostat system put in is an ALL day job but having Jaun and Kai around was just fine. We are very pleased with Advanced Filter and Mechanical, Inc. and would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future!

I want to give them 5 stars because everything went great. How ever at the end when tech was showing me what they did he said he could show me how set it up on a timer for when I wake up in the morning and just as I get home from work. He was rather insistent on specifically asking to show me how to set it up when I was away at work. I told him several times I was fine and that I can figure it out but he still asked to show me how to set it up so its warm when I got home. Thats a red flag to me, especially after someone has seen the inside of my house.
If he really wanted to show me he could pick some arbitrary time and use that.
Maybe it was just that worker and not the entire company, I dont know. The other guy with him seemed nice. It still reflects poorly on the company.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

My Furnace went out last month but I have alternate means of heat. I called a guy to come out to my house from I think Advanced Heating or Advantage heating and cooling (I apologize that I don't have his info) Anyways he came to my house for about 10 min poked and tested some stuff and told me I needed a new Furnace, wrote me a bill for $147 and an almost $3000 quote on a furnace. Then I called around and Another company "MM Comfort Systems" quoted me $2100 before taxes but they never called me for an appt. and I had to keep on following up with them. Apparently they don't need my business. Then I got a hold of Home Depot and they scheduled Jesse Kelpszas. This young man came to my house, assessed the situation, did a poke, prod, and adjustment in about 5 min and fixed my Furnace. He did say I would be needed one sooner than later due to the age and bad quality of my furnace but I couldn't believe that the first guy said I needed a new one and not to use mine. Then Jesse gave me three competitive quotes and like I said fixed my Furnace. FREE!!! If and when It goes out Advanced Filter has earned my trust and business. It is nice to know that there is still companies out there putting customers first. If anyone is looking for a furnace I would trust Advanced Filter/Jesse Kelpszas.
