I have been looking for a lash lady close-ish to the office for those desperate times that my favorite girl in the East Bay fills up for the month, or I've been travelling and don't get a chance to book with her in time.
I loved how easy it was to book my appointment, and my preferred mode of transport is Uber to their studio, and enjoy the more downhill walk back to the office.
Ashley is amazing, and such a cool girl. My lashes look great. I will be back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Li L.Cupertino, CA15294Jun 20, 2018
Perfect results, painful experience...
Came to lashes in love from a friends recommendation. I've tried three times and had the most amazing lashes done by Ashley. I got compliments everywhere.
How ever, the two times I've had Ashley she damaged my eye...one time one of the extension eyelash was hanging onto my lower lash so I asked her to repair that one and she dripped some superglue to my eye (gosh it was burning hurt) and I could barely open my eye. The second time one lash got stuck inside of my eye I had a huge uncomfortable feeling towards the end of my session. So I said oh something seems to be in my eye, and I attempted to remove it myself because I'm scared she would hurt me again...turns out she grabbed me and poked a sharp q-tip right into my eyeball. It was so damn hurt and I would never poke a q-tip (full of cotton fiber??) in someone's eye without permission. I teared up (literally due to the pain) so bad and end of the story was my last visit. I had to suffer from the pain for a day or two. Silly me I recommended Ashley earlier to my friend she went and told me Ashley cut her eyeball with the sharp sticker directly touching her eyeball the whole session and when she went home, there is a straight line of redness in her eyeball. She has infected redness in her eye for days. I know it's difficult to find a good lash artist in town, but I'm so fortunate I've discovered another lady who can do it right. Please treat your customers with care.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marina Y.South of Market, San Francisco, CA251Nov 20, 2018
The best lash service you can get in the city, I promise! Most beautiful natural or volume lashes... I've tried other places when Malie was away, omg noo. She is the absolute best! And if by any chance you want the most beautiful eyebrows? Yes! Perfect microblading!

After seeing my review, Malie reached out to me. I always say there are two types of business owners - ones who could care less about the customer feedback and ones who take customer feedback seriously and take it as a chance to improve. Malie is the ladder, luckily.
Malie sent me a professional email to rectify the situation by offering to take a look at my lashes and also offering to pay for a month's supply of Latisse (albeit, this didn't cover the $300+ I paid for the lashes that only lasted less than 2 weeks plus time spent growing back my lashes and time spent having to apply fake lashes daily until my natural lashes grew back to normal, but I took her up on her offer). Malie also reached out to the company of the lash extensions regarding my situation. I didn't feel like she was trying to buy a better review out of me either - it was genuine. And I'm glad to know she didn't cut my lashes. To be fair, my lash hairs were pretty fine (more fine than anyone I've seen) so the extensions could have just been too much for my lashes and now I know.
The Latisse has worked phenomenally. It's been almost 1 month and my lashes have definitely grown longer and I think they are a tad thicker. All in all, it'll work out in the end and the way Malie professionally handled this experience shows she really cares about taking care of her clients.Helpful 20Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Alina,
I am so sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your lashes. My main concern as a lash artist is to not only have you looking and feeling your best but also to be extremely cautious of your natural lash health. I know laying down for a long time period with your eyes closed can be especially unnerving and I'd like to reassure you that i did not and would never cut your natural lashes as this would make extending them even harder. I appreciate your feedback and will take the room temperature into consideration. I would love the opportunity to rectify the situation especially your concerns with lash sparseness and encourage you to contact me at lashesinlovesf@gmail.com
All the best,
Malie
Owner/Lash artistJul 30, 2015Previous reviewI've been going back and forth deciding whether or not to write this review. When I see my lashes everyday, the more upset I get so I decided to write this.
I got dramatic lash extensions done for my Vegas trip. Naturally, I asked a lot of questions being that it was my first time and Maile was helpful at answering them. However, newbies don't always know the right questions to ask and that's where the professional should go over possible issues upfront so the client can make an informed decision whether or not to proceed.
After my lash extensions fell off (after only 2 weeks), I realized my real lashes were gone with it. I was shocked! However, when I looked at my lashes, they were all the same length but very short - like a newborn baby has lashes longer than mine. I was eyelid bald practically. The way all my lashes were the same length made me wonder if my lashes were cut without telling me before the extensions were put on. The way extensions are done, laying you down with no mirror and propping your eyelids open, you can't see what's going on. However, I could be completely wrong, but that means the extensions took my lashes out and apparently all at the same length. In either case, I'm upset my lashes are gone. It's so embarrassing so I've had to apply Latisse obsessively every night and wearing falsies in the daytime. I'll probably have to do this for at least a month until my lashes grow back. Again, there should have been a warning of this. If I knew this, I wouldn't have done it.
There were other things too. Although I loved the lashes the day I got them, the next day when I woke up, the right side lashes turned upside down, inside out and looked like a hot mess while the other side was perfect. I used the mascara wand she gave me to fix it, which was helpful, but I could never get it back looking like the other side. The right side lashes came off so fast but the left stayed put leaving me looking lop sided. I took care of my lashes but they fell off about 1.5-2 weeks later.
Also, I was uncomfortably hot the entire time she was working on my lashes. It was a hot day in SF and there was no fan at all to make clients feel more comfortable. In fact, there was a hot blanket I was laying on. I felt claustrophobic laying there two hours in the heat.
I spent over $300 (including tip, but not including parking) and it was not money well spent considering dealing with the aftermath of regrowing my lashes. I really wanted to love it and I did for that first day I got it done. Maile was super nice too (that's why I'm giving an extra star), but the way things turned out just did not justify the price. I'd never do extensions again. - CC P.Costa Mesa, CA75919Aug 1, 2015
I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now...having lash extensions off and on (mostly on) for almost 10 years...I consider myself somewhat of an expert. I want to laugh because I've always thought my lash girl was the best (she is great) but she is not Malie! Malie is the "Michangelo" of lash extensions! She has made me so full of myself because I can't stop looking in the mirror! Lol:)
My eyes look so much bigger and sexier with her expertise.
The reason I want to cry is because I don't live in SF and now I have to find a new "Malie" in OC!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jen D.Los Angeles, CA39Feb 19, 2018
Seriously my brows and lashes have never looked better! I had a brow and lash tint as well as a lash lift - a great/ more natural looking alternative to lash extensions. In my opinion lash lifts are a secret weapon too few ladies know about! The salon is adorable and you feel more like you're receiving a spa treatment than a lash service. Highly recommend!

From Paris I tough I will never be able to find a talented person to do my eyelashes extension, and on this case being able to trust who you dealing with is important. I wanted to have beautiful gorgeous natural good looking eyelashes but not having fall off lashes or burning eyes. She knows how to figure what it the best for your eyes shape and look.
I recommend anyone to go see her if you wonder where to go :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily M.San Francisco, CA921Jun 25, 2014
I have been getting my lashes done for years, but was never quite happy with the end results until I had the luck to find Malie. Malie is an expert. I no longer need to wear eye make-up, and I've cut my getting ready time by half as I wake up looking fresh and ready to go. I have seen many lash technicians, but once I found Malie, I will never go to anyone else. I could not recommend her any more highly. If I could give her more stars than 5, I absolutely would.
Not only is she quick and efficient, but you leave feeling glamorous. She seems to intuitively know what lash look will make your eyes pop in an immensely gorgeous way. I receive compliments on my extensions on a daily basis.
I look forward to my sessions with her as she is sweet, wonderful and friendly, and I love our conversations. For lash extensions, it's Lashes in Love all the way. I wouldn't' trust my lashes to anyone else.
Malie is a must!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
