They always deliver with their food, so while it's expensive and the location is a bit inconvenient, I still love ordering from here. Usually, I get it delivered from Grubhub, however once I hadn't received my drink that came with it. When I ordered to go and picked it up myself, I mentioned it and they gave me the drink without a hassle.
Expensive? Yes
Good service? Also yes
Good serving sizes? Yes indeed!
I always get crab salad to go and they don't skimp out, they make the six bucks totally worth it. So much so that I wouldn't consider getting that to be expensive at all. You'd spend more money making it yourself, at that point. Highly recommend it as well, since it's delicious. Same with the Ahi Tuna! Always tender and just, so good.
This is not food you can get very regularly around Des Moines (unless I simply can't find the multitude of poke places around) so the prices are honestly to be expected. Anything sushi, seafood, or poke related will more expensive than the run-of-the-mill restaurant. It's a treat :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13748146Mar 11, 2023
Fresh, fast and amazing selections.
If you're a fan of Poké this is a great option for you.
A few blocks from the convention center for any dancers in town! Head directly east.
The building has several options too if you have anyone who is not a fan of Poké!
Boba tea is also availableHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 25, 2024
Tried this place for the first time tonight, and loved it. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and food was absolutely delicious. My friend and I weren't quite sure what to order with the many options and combinations provided, and the staff was helpful with recommendations on what they like and what is popular. I am looking forward to eating here again and trying something new. Thank you!

I had high hopes after reading other reviews. Unfortunately had a different experience. My partner and I received bad service, not near as bad as the group before us. Felt very rushed with no one behind us, server didn't change gloves between fish/veggies and handling the fridge getting more pineapple. Portions weren't consistent, felt overpriced compared to similar places. Wouldn't go again, cute place though.

This is my go to place for lunch before an Iowa Cubs game or dinner before a play at the Des Moines Performing Arts Center
The variety of protein, mix-ins, toppings, and drizzles allow for hundreds of thousands of combinations so you never get bored.
I also love how this place is always so clean. Tables and floors are hardly ever dirty for very long. Even the prep tables are kept very. This is very noticeable as you see them assemble your Poke Bowl.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 27, 2019Previous reviewMy daughter and I both love that we have another dining option when my son picks Blaze Pizza for dinner. He can have that and we can hop upstairs, order our Poke to go and enjoy it with the rest of the family.
I love how fresh the ingredients taste. The salmon look and tastes so good. The number of ingredients makes this a fun place to visit. I have so many different options to mix and match and walk away with something new each time. - Jacob K.Des Moines, IA02711Mar 10, 2023
The location is nice with lots of windows. Architecture is cool and the restaurant is clean. It was very quiet and family friendly for our 1.5 year old (equipped with high chairs).
The ingredients we had ordered in our bowls were fresh and overall we were happy with the food! My wife had shrimp and I had veggie.
The service was great and the gentlemen who helped us was kind and patient with us. We will definitely return.
The only thing we were unsure about was my wife's Boba Tea. The boba had a unique taste (citrus maybe?) and the tea itself seemed "off". We weren't sure if it was improperly mixed or maybe it was just a flavor that she wasn't familiar with. Overall, she probably won't order it again. Maybe see for yourself.
A business worth supporting and a place we will go back too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew V.Tacoma, WA010Sep 4, 2023
Coming from Seattle, it's tough to beat. The protein choices weren't bad. However, the excessive mayo in the crab salad killed any additional tastes/flavors added to the bowl. The rice was over cooked and mushy unfortunately. If the rice was cooked better and the crab salad was removed, probably a 4 star

First time Poke bowl, I expected the rice to be treated like sushi rice, but it was standard loose rice. Good food, good service, but a bit high on the price side. Bonus was the boba tea, small tapioca/boba pearls, so was a unique experience!

Food was good. Lots of gluten free. Other than that the standard there isn't good. The staff wear sweat pants and pjs to work. Also saw them eating right behind the counter over all the food they are serving and licking their fingers. Have some standards for your staff. I'm over going to places and the staff look like they just rolled out of bed and and an idgaf attitude.
