As most men and women know, it can be challenging finding a decent barber that not only has the skill and experience to give a nice cut but who will also listen to you and provide friendly service without a long wait.
I have been going to this father and son duo for years now and can go in at anytime and just say "the usual" or tell them a different style I want to try and I can walk out confident k owing I look like a million bucks.
It doesn't matter which of them I go to, I just hop in the first open chair.
Their hours are very conducive to my sporadic schedule, I have not once needed to make an appointment as 90% of the ti e I can walk in and hop right in a chair. The longest I've ever had to wait was on a Friday before a big holiday weekend and even then it was maybe 30 minutes and I just told them I'd be back, ran across the way to Walgreens and when I came back they were ready for me.
I'm no eavesdropper but it's not hard to tell that vast majority of patrons are regulars and very at ease with the laid back style and extremely cordial conversation these two gentleman provide. They know their customers and their customers know them and they. Make you fell appreciated and welcomed each and every time.
The shop is immaculately clean at all times, pleasant television volumes, very comfortable temperature and even provide a warm towel treatment post shave /haircut and a back massager at the end.
The price is the best part as I can get a cut biweekly for $25.00 or a haircut and bead trim and shaping for $40.00 (don't forget to be generous with tipping for these hard working and composed gentleman!).
Took me years to find a barbershop that was skilled and comfortable with African-American hairstyles that was close by - let's face it, their aren't too many folks with the amount of melanin the good lord saw fit to bless me with in the paradise valley community) and low and behold, one day I just Googled:
"Barbers that cut black men's hair" near me and they popped up. Haven't needed to do another search since. I even got my my extruding sticky picky and skeptical father to go to them as his regular barber

My previous haircutter of 20 years recently retired. I was looking for a new person to cut my hair. I was a walk in at the Paradise Valley barbershop. The barbershop had been in my neighborhood for more than a decade, but I had no reason to change where I was going. Now I wish I had changed years ago. I received a phenomenal haircut from a licensed barber instead of a professional hair cutter. The last time I had a straight razor cut was 30 years ago. I forgot how good a razor cut felt and looked amazing experience. I found my new barbershop. Received a couple of compliments the next day reasonably priced and a fantastic experience

Paradise Valley barbershop is a hidden treasure behind the Walgreens at Tatum Boulevard and Shea. It's a treasure because this father and son barbershop consistently provide great cuts and friendly service. I get my hair cut about every three weeks and I've been a regular customer for at least five years.

In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, I made an appointment with Edward who came to my house and gave me haircut so I didn't have to leave my home for a much needed cut. You simply can't beat that for service.

And I think it's the only barbershop that I've ever been to where I don't bother taking the mirror, that they hand to everybody at the end of their cut, because I already know that it's a good one.

Excellent barbers that's close to home. I don't have much hair on top, so George & Eddy do a great job on my beard!

Easily the worst haircut I've ever received. If you want shaved up the sides and back, all clipper haircut with no tapering this is the place. One side of my head looks like a divot was taken out of it. I could do better myself with a flowbee... In fact I did during the pandemic. I think the problem is that they don't listen and really don't look at what has been done in the past. They just do what they are going to do Regardless of what you ask for, terrible...just terrible. So bad I lost sleep over it and I'm 64 years old.

The Paradise Valley Barber Shop has been my "go to" barber for 10+ years! The shop is clean, TVs on throughout the shop, and I've never had a bad haircut! Edward does a great job and he's always pleasant to talk too! Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for 2 years now and every time I visit, Edward cuts me to perfection. The shop is clean and efficient. I'm there every two weeks. Love this place!

First actual barber shop I have ever gone to after years of great clips. Wow...what a difference! Not only are these guys faster but the end result is much better! I used to have to "fix" little straggler hairs or other minor misses but now when I walk out it's exactly as it should be. I also appreciate the care these guys take to make sure you don't have a lot of little cut hairs on your collar when you leave. Makes it is to get a cut and be able to about your day without itching.
