As we were en route to a volleyball game in Long Island, we stumbled upon this gem nestled in the vicinity--a market food place offering a plethora of dining choices. Despite the abundance of options, our time constraints led us to opt for a quick bite, and this establishment immediately caught our attention with its enticing array of breads, cakes, and sandwiches.
Upon arrival, the bustling crowd queued up, indicating the popularity and quality of the fare. Fortunately, the service lived up to the hype; it was both expedient and welcoming, ensuring we received our orders promptly.
Our selection encompassed a delightful assortment, including a turkey sandwich, complemented by refreshing beverages such as espresso, coffees and tea. Each item surpassed expectations, showcasing the culinary prowess of the establishment.
In summary, this venue proved to be an excellent choice for those seeking delectable sandwiches, bread, or cakes on the go. With its convenient location, diverse menu offerings, and efficient service, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to fellow diners seeking a satisfying culinary experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cleo S.New Orleans, LA46155Jan 10, 2024
I regularly get the honey olive oil cake and a vanilla latte. Recently ventured out and got their bacon egg and cheese with arugula. It's AMAZING. The food is great and the coffee is tasty and effective!
Service can sometimes be hit or miss but the point system is great.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jane K.Los Angeles, CA16110641Dec 12, 2023
Honestly, having a bakery in town is phenomenal. The coffee is pretty decent as well.
The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the staff can be friendly and efficient, but I've had so many bad experiences as well.
I had a server refused to give me a small cold brew without ice because she said she would have to charge me for a medium size cold brew if she gave me one without ice.
They for some reason always have an issue with their cashier system. A few weeks back, they asked us to pay cash only because their computer system was down.. so we got our cash and came back to buy $45 dollars worth of pastries.. then they refused to take our $100 bill and made us go to Trader Joes to break our bill into $20s because they did not want to break our $100.
This would've been fine if they had just told us initially so we didn't have to make two trips to get cash.
Today, I used apple pay to pay for a 10 dollar sandwich and the cashier system was slow. I got a notification that the payment went through on my credit card, but the cashier was insistent that it did not process,.. so I waited for the machine to process my payment. While the machine was processing, she went ahead and reset the computer system. I told there that I received a notification on my Apple Pay that the payment went through. She told me I should check my credit card app because Apple Pay wasn't accurate, so I checked my credit card app and I showed her that my payment went through. She proceeds to yell at me that I need to pay again, claiming now that my credit card app was not accurate. I told her that I did not want to be double charged for a sandwich and she says that if I do get double charged, that I should just call the bank and dispute it. At this point, I was tired of this employee unapologetically yelling at me over a sandwich and was also really annoyed for being asked to spend so much of my time & effort in trying to buy one, so I just left without anything. Please have your machine fixed or have better customer service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - ashlon f.Midtown East, New York, NY01May 15, 2024
We were rushing around in DeKalb Ave to get some good coffee. Was so glad to run in to this cafe. The best condon fog I have had!

The maple oat latte is delicious. The ham croissant is marvelous. Get both for the ultimate treat yourself treat. Didn't get a chance to take pics because it was so good. That's when you know you enjoyed it.
There's plenty of seating available in front and the service is quick and friendly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 9, 2023
Incredible! Although I've only been here once, I thoroughly enjoyed the dark chocolate olive cake. I love that there was seating available to enjoy my iced coffee and pastry before heading up to Alamo for a movie. A great pit stop before, during, or after running errands in the mall. I definitely see myself coming back here to try the avocado toast. The only con is that the prices are a little on the pricey side.

I'm always in the City Point shopping/mall and see Café a (you can't miss it--it's right by the entrance on the Flatbush Ext. side) but I've never ordered anything until recently. There's a cafe downstairs in the Dekalb food hall but this review is for upstairs. There's two barstools and some tables and chairs close to the escalator.
I ordered a cold brew with half and half and simple syrup. The service is okay--nothing really remarkable. For two days in a row, I ordered a large cold brew and the cup looked like a large but when I came in on Friday, the cup was smaller. I asked about it but they said that it holds the same amount but one is wider. Hmmm...I'm not really convinced but whatever. It's okay but I've only been going here because I'm in the area because I'm on jury duty. I can't say that I would go out of my way to get coffee here. I did like their almond croissant, delicious.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - S B.Brooklyn, NY02513Apr 23, 2024
I love their croissants so much! So buttery, crispy in the outside, and airy on the inside

It's my first time visiting Cafe d'Avignon. Overall vibe I got from this place is chill, relaxing and welcoming. The staff here promptly packed my bakery and handed the bag to me with a warm smile. I truly appreciate the kindness service here.
