Went there for dinner with a friend today. I had to wait for him for 10 minutes and I couldn't help myself cause the smell of everything there was making me hungry so I ordered the burnt pork belly tips. They were so good that it was hard for me to stop eating them so I could leave half for him to try. Fortunately he came fast after I finished half, cause I text him with a picture and said if he didn't come soon, I couldn't promise I'd leave any of the appetizer for him .
Having enjoyed that so much I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. And while it was really good, it couldn't compare with the appetizer I had, however my friend also gave me one of his baby back ribs because his plate was huge and he wouldn't be able to finish it alone and that was almost as good as the appetizer. I say almost, because that appetizer was amazing
The water and diet soda I ordered came in large jugs and they also refilled the sugar right away. Our service was fast and fun to chat with.
I also ordered the banana pudding before my stomach could tell my brain it was full. While also very good, I expected a little more it out that
But the food was so good, I would definitely go back. I would say right away, if my stomach wasn't hurting from overdoing it earlier.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michael B.Irvine, CA838269753177Feb 29, 20241 check-in
COULD BE BETTER ! My wife and I arrived here at 11.30am on Wednesday for a rare family get together. We were having lunch to remember my wife's Dad whose ashes had just been interred in a wall at a chapel in Culver City. Our brother-in-law picked this place for the remembrance lunch. By the looks of all the signs inside it served BBQ and Southern style food. I had a quick chat with Naeya the hostess and then joined the crew inside. The joint was dead empty when our gang of 10 or so arrived. It had the feel of a chain restaurant and certainly the look. It is what it is ! Things moved very slowly....they opened at 11am. I don't usually drink alcohol with lunch at home or out and I wasn't changing that today. GOOD THING ! I had earlier checked out the beers on tap and it was a heap of the usual suspects...Coors Light etc. A server brought everyone huge glass jars of ice cold water....they were humungous ! Meanwhile my wife and I checked out the menu....there was very little of interest for us. We don't do fried food particularly chicken. In the end we chose a combo tray with a leg of smoked chicken, smoked pulled pork and 3 sides for $30. The male server brought our table some complimentary Southern Style Biscuits with sides of Apple Butter. THINGS WERE SLOW ! Eventually lunch orders of burgers, salads, fried shrimp, fries etc started coming out. Our combo order was about the last to arrive. NOT SO GOOD ! My wife gave me half of the smoked chicken leg...the uncooked half. It was way too pink for my liking. On the other hand my wife's portion of the smoked chicken leg was overcooked and over chewy. The smoked pulled pork tasted kinda greasy. The sides of Collard greens, potato salad and corn mix tasted good enough. I didn't hear any complaints from the others about their food so maybe we dudded out. For 30 bucks we thought our combo tray was rubbish. Our brother-in-law was footing the bill so we said nothing. NOT OUR SCENE AT ALL !
NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ontwan D.Moreno Valley, CA072Feb 11, 2024
Lucille's is one of our fave, but for some reason this has been the worst experience on Super Bowl Sunday at this Lucille. Food was cold ribs tips, brisket & tri tip with the mash potatoes having gummy bacon. Corn was horrible....
They were so busy on focusing on their catering orders instead of the dining room guest,, overall worst experience!!!!!
After 30 mins sitting here watching the game we decided to order the spinach dip that they didn't have previously when we arrived..... Order it and it came out ice cold!!!!
So after speaking with the manager Derrick he tried to fix it!!!!! I'm so unsatisfied because I come to Lucille at least 5 times a year!!!! This experience at this location was horrible!!! Oh yeah!!!! Ask for Gingerale but the soda line is not hooked up smh!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 20241 check-in
The food is very good and flavorful. I recommend you definitely try their fried pickles and cauliflower appetizers, cauliflower has a little spicy kick if eaten alone, but of course it comes with 2 different dipping sauces. The chicken and sausage were very good and well cooked. Very juicy. The service was great, very attentive and ambience was very nice. Not too crowded but it was a weeknight so it was perfect.

Placed pickup order around 1:30pm. Nobody was at the front desk for pickup orders. I had to find a server to get my food. He was not welcoming or helpful and didn't even say Thank You. The BBQ chicken salad didn't taste fresh, and the chicken was as dry as leather. The BBQ 1/4 chicken was also dry, and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The French fries tasted like they were a day old. The quality of this location has deteriorated significantly.

The BBQ chicken salad is one of the best I've had, with a generous portion of crispy onions on top that give the salad a great texture & flavor. My one complaint is that the chicken in the salad is usually over cooked and dry.
The sweet potato fries are a great option for a side order. The flavor is amazing!
Beware of the complimentary buttermilk biscuits, as they are highly addictive! - Jan 8, 2024
Came here during a work lunch. Food and side options are seemingly endless although if you bring someone who doesn't eat meat or dairy here they probably won't have sun. Two meat combo with side was more than enough for me for a meal. Also I wasn't expecting it but their fountain drinks are served in a comically oversized mason jar.
Parking easy in attached lots/structures.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1142001208Sep 28, 2023
I love that we have this Lucille near by...
I love to bring family to celebrate their bday with something different.....
and to then find out they continue to come with others.
Like always delicious and fresh!
Amazing server Renwick!

Kept coming to check on us and always willing to bring the refills or wet towels.

Nah, don't waste your time or money! I should have paid attention to the reviews. I was craving brisket and decided it can't be that bad. It tastes like lunchroom food. I ordered th brisket with fries and sautéed veggies. The veggies taste and looked like they were cooked about 10 times. The brisket and the veggies were cold. I asked if it could be warmed up and the waiter brought it back out almost the same temperature as before, still cold. The waiter was very nice though. Inside the restaurant was a typical chain restaurant.

I frequent this location often.
I was in the mood for BBQ but didn't feel like driving. So I ordered through Door Dash ; huge disappointment.
1. Absolutely everything was extremely cold, not Luke warm, not room temperature but flat out cold. Not sure if this was the driver's fault the restaurant or a combination of both.
2.the rib tips were so hard that they were actually inedible. I ordered pulled chicken but I was given hard, overcooked, inedible pulled pork.
3. The corn pudding was a 7/10 and COLD.At the the corn pudding is always 15/10!!!
4. The biscuit was old and crunchy. I tried to cut it to put the apple butter on it and it literally fell apart.
5. The garlic mashed potatoes were good but ; COLD!!!
6. Huge waste of $50
Thank God that I had a salad at home and that's exactly what I had for dinner.
As for the BBQ
And to top it all off
The Dasher didn't leave my food where he should have. I know this has nothing to do with the restaurantHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Jul 18, 2023Previous reviewWe popped in on a Sunday afternoon. It was not very crowded but we still had mediocre service.
The bartender told us to be seated but then he disappeared.
After sitting unattended for close to 10 minutes we we're finally able to flag someone down to help us.
There was a very nice young lady who said she was just coming back from her break and was more than happy to help us.
She was polite and pleasant.
Our food came out pretty fast and it was hot and good.
We did have ti remind them several times about our missing corn pudding but once it arrived it was so well worth the wait.
We frequently eat at this establishment and I will definitely be returning.
I actually believe that they have one of the best happy hour deals in town.
Great drinks, lots of items to choose from, and e cellar prices.
So, if you like bbq and looking for a happy hour spot Lucille's is the spot.
Their regular menu prices have gone up significantly but hell, what hasn't? - Chat A.Culver City, CA132Mar 9, 2024
Food and service was very good. Plus the location is very accessible inside the mall.
But I hope they keep their restrooms clean at all times. If the restaurant restroom is not clean and it's the same restroom used by the kitchen and service staff, how clean really are they....... Just wondering could be 5 stars with a clean restroom. Cleanliness is very importantHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
