Their Chicken Teriyaki bento box was disgusting, no idea how they charge money for this. Also, it's chicken teriyaki, rice, salad, and soup, and all of it was wrong, flavorless, mushy, and unappetizing. I regret trying this place, won't ever go back.

I ordered their fire roll, which is their signature roll - it comes with crab stick, spicy shrimp, and cucumber. It was okay, but there was a lot of rice and no cucumber like other reviews said. Also, the spicy shrimp was not inside the roll but mashed up and spread on top?

I was working in Illinois Center today and had a taste for sushi. This is a very small carry out only place next to Subway that looked good to try.
I was disappointed to see that they use imitation crab. I don't do imitation, so I stayed away from all of those rolls. But I ordered two; the spicy ebi shrimp tempura roll and the fire roll, and both were very good. The spicy ebi was large, tasty, and just the right amount of spice. The fire roll was good as well. I would eat here again, staying away from the crab.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jamal J.Chicago, IL23817823Mar 13, 2019
They messed up my lunch box order. Gave me veggie tempura rather than chicken. The one shrimp that was in there was not deveined and had a nice intestinal track chock full of shrimp poop.
Salad was sad, wonton was sadder
Goyzu sauce was watery and tasteless
Tempura was old and soggy
Salmon does not look sushi quality
Shrimp tempura rolls are just alright, I'd stick to fried food if I was you...
Or hey just get way better sushi at amazon go down the hall!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisie C.Chicago, IL13431May 2, 2018
Picture says it all. Who wants a rice filled sushi roll?
This is the second time this has happened. First time I went back down (this place is in my work building) and pointed this out and the employee said "oh you wanted it it cucumber?" And I said, of course I want it with everything that's listed on the menu... They gave me a new roll, no problem, but I've gone back to find the same issue. :/
I understand trying to save money, but skipping out on ingredients that are clearly listed on the menu and charging the same price is not okay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark M.Lakeview, Chicago, IL324162Jun 27, 2019
I've spent three days in bed now thanks to the serious case of food poisoning I got from this place.
Violent vomiting and diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, chills and sweats--not to mention two days away from work--are what I Love Sushi served me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2014
Literal lol to Jerry J's review that this is the best sushi in Chicago. What? Have you literally never been to any other sushi places here? Sorry bro, don't mean to hate but this "sushi to go" place is just ok at best.
Staff is friendly, and helped me make the selection of tempura crab fire roll. It was sizeable, and a little over $9, but I'm not sure if the crab meat was real or not? Don't get me wrong, any rolls that are fried and have special sauce are usually pretty tasty. Obviously this roll is not recommended for the health conscious! Most of the other sushi comes in prepackaged containers, but they do have alternate items on their menu. Next time, I'll probably try the more affordable bento box. Until then I love sushi!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nil A.Chicago, IL113412Jan 19, 2018
An absolutely disgusting establishment. I asked for vegetarian Goyoza and was sold pork! When I brought it up to the cashier he said "it's tofu". It wasn't. I asked another gentleman who purchased the same thing to taste his before exiting and he came to the same conclusion.
Lying to your customers about the contents of your food is bad enough, but when you bring into the mix a type of meat that some cultures simply cannot consume it is negligent. I will be reporting your "restaurant" to the appropriate authorities after this travesty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2016
I sushi is a part of "Fooda" that comes by my company during lunch hour from time to time. Their sushi is fresh and yummily every single time. June makes a roll that everyone should try!!!! (pictured). Get some sushi, and you will keep coming back for more! I LOVE SUSHI!!!!!!!

Signature Roll was filled with only rice and one skinny crab stick. What a joke! I used to look forward to this place coming to our office, but now it appears they are cutting major corners. Come on... a specialty "SIGNATURE ROLL" having 1/3 ingredients in it? Never again!
