Food was delicious. Service was great. Ambiance is good there's inside and an outdoor. This was a first time for us I got a margarita and my partner got a corona for drink. But for all this that we ordered it came out to $105, so it is a little pricey for just 2 people. But overall food was great will recommend.

Fantastic al pastor tacos. Worth a stop for sure, and I'd recommend dinning in so you get them nice and hot.
Super friendly service. And super patient with me, as I have a crazy bad cilantro allergy (yes, I'm an odd ball), but she had them even make me some salsa with no cilantro (I didn't ask, but they did it)
Tortillas are all hand made.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joshua C.San Francisco, CA1841525Apr 13, 2024
Food was quite good 8/10 BUT
Docked a point since it looks like they count the taxes as part of the amount you're tipping on which doesn't seem like the norm?? As a consumer this seems a bit misleading/dishonest. There's a credit card fee too but I guess that fine because they don't charge the SF health mandate fee as well.
I also saw a couple rats roaming around the stairs in the back patio area.
I thought the value seemed pretty good though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 499921884646Apr 10, 20241 check-in
This is a 3.5 star review.
I came in a little on the late side on a Tuesday night. I was expecting more, however those tacos were great. Ambiance and service was a bit lacking. No one came to check on us, we needed more salsa, but wasn't able to order, etc...
The homemade tortillas are delicious. The tacos are huge and were good. 2 was plenty. The shrimp one was really good, and the vampiro was great (and honestly a meal in itself). It had true cuts of steak, not that pounded out, cut up scraps. So kudos to that.
What took this meal to a less than 4 star review:
The guac and chips were sad. The guac was a bit watery and not flavorfully fresh. The chips were stale.
As mentioned, the service was fine, but not really there.
Overall, high expectations from the reviews, and I'm sure a great spot if you doing takeout or doing a super casual eat. I was looking more for some ambiance and good eats, and that wasn't quite what I got.Helpful 10Thanks 4Love this 9Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 20241 check-in
A hidden gem! Tip is to go to their back patio (you have to walk past the kitchen) -- it's pretty spacious and so cute at night. Great for bigger parties.
Chuy's has delicious tacos and decent portion sizes, my favorites were the shrimp and volcano tacos. Highly recommend their agua frescas as well; I've tried their mango and strawberry -- both are good!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - 4938259814765Mar 19, 2024
We found Chuy's Fiesta during Covid, offering delivery through door dash. The food is fast, not too expensive and flavorful.
I like the super nachos, birria tacos and the seafood specials. The shrimp burritos have a nice portion of shrimp. They also grill their burritos on the flat top which helps melt everything together inside.
I would love to come back and try the ceviche and aguachiles with a michelada on that patio, it looks very inviting.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 763198Feb 10, 2024
Came here for lunch on the weekend and had some great tacos! It's a nice Mexican restaurant with great food. I've been to their other location downtown and this one is bigger and has more seating.
Me and my friend got 3 tacos each. I got Al pastor, cochinita pibil, and carnitas tacos, and she got quesobirria, shrimp, and cochinita pibil tacos. The al pastor, shrimp, and quesobirria were our favs! The cochinita pibil was good too but it had some habanero peppers in it which made it pretty spicy. The tortillas were handmade too which elevated the tacos.
The waitresses were very nice and attentive. Would definitely come back to try more things on the menu!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2023
The backyard seating here is fantastic, portions are pretty big, and no complaints at all on the price point.
The only slight negative is that the birria here isn't as flavorful as that one birria place a couple blocks south of here. Otherwise, the rest of the items I tried were pretty tasty!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cindy N.Antioch, CA7788111May 3, 2024

Best Mexican food in San Francisco. Recommend aguachile and birria en caldo, but everything is good
