Good souvenir shop in the Peabody Hotel - and more of a souvenir shop of the Peabody than of Memphis so not filled with things you'll see elsewhere in Memphis.

Everything is over-priced as expected but keep in mind you're in the Peabody Hotel and at least 90% of the stock isn't available on Beale Street. Get your rubber duckies and postcards elsewhere, but if you stayed her you probably want the Peabody rubber duck. Lots of t-shirts to choose from, sweatshirts, ornaments, et al.

If you've seen the Duck March you should absolutely come in here and look for something. I usually end up with something everytime I'm in Memphis.

I went in this cute little gift shop when I was pregnant with my first child. Sure, I live in Memphis and I've worked downtown forever, but I'd never felt the need to visit a hotel gift shop until I spotted the adorable baby items in the window.

Rubber duckies are just the beginning. You'll find cute, comfy onesies, bath toys and bibs. I still have some of the items I bought, and am using them now for my second child.

There are lots of other little trinkets for the other special people in your life, especially moms, sisters, and sisters-in-law. Great lotions, perfumes, and bath products.

Another perk? Vera Bradley. I love VB bags and accessories and there are plenty of them here.

Fun little gift shop with lots of cute things. My son chose a quacking duck (and then tried to put it in the fountain).
Everything was organized and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I like this gift shop. I like it because of the woman who resides behind the counter. She is ever so friendly and chatty- just the way I like my sale peeps. She always compliments my jewelry, makeup or hair when I come in- even though I have yet to make a purchase. She also reminds me to come back in and see her again soon when I leave. She makes me feel like I am wanted in her store, never like I am bothering her or wasting her time- even though technically I kind of am.

I love walking around here and looking at the adorable baby clothes, duck paraphernalia, and endless women's necessities. They have a surprisingly large selection of Vera Bradley bags- if you are into that sort of thing- which I am not. I would prefer my purse not look like a 1950s bed linen, thank you! I was also quite pleased to see they carry Lollia! If you are unfamiliar with Lollia, go familiarize yourself! It is so fabulous it was on Oprah's Favorite Things, and as we all know, if Oprah is in love with an item all the world should be as well. I love their hand creams and perfumes. They are very light and flowery, never offensive or over powering in their fragrances. You can pick up a bottle of their perfume here for about $50- which is cheap given the quantity of liquid that resides in that spray bottle. It also lasts all day. I have sprayed a different scent on my wrists every time I've gone in, and always find that I can still smell it at the end of the day.

This little gift shop has quite an array of items to choose from. In my opinion, it has the least tackiest choices for souvenir options to take back to your friends and family from your trip to Memphis. It also makes sure to encompass everyone on that list. Babies, moms, sisters, brothers, dads, and your significant other. The price tags are pretty middle of the road- some nearing that pricey end and others not at all.

Great gift shop located in The Peabody Hotel. Filled with lots of frou-frou, cute, girly items.

They carry a very nice selection of Memphis-themed sweatshirts and t-shirts in various sizes and patterns. All well-made. Also spotted was a section of baby items, including rubber duckies, cute bibs for boys and girls, and onesies. Other bath time and play time toys, such as teddy bears are carried as well.

If you want to give a gift, the shop carries the popular Pandora bracelets and charms -- I had my eye on some pretty colored glass beads that they had on display. And if you're a Vera Bradley fan, you're in luck -- there's a store inside a store of VB bags and other items in the usual pretty patterns.

If you know The Peabody, you know about 'the ducks'. And for the duck enthusiast, you can purchase a duck goblet -- who doesn't need one of those. Also sold are magnets, various charms, silver jewelry and pretty Lollia perfume, soaps, and scented lotions.

DO NOT buy from this store. My family visited this little shop while we stayed at The Peabody (which was lovely). Each of my kids picked a ducky souvenir (Close to $100 for 3 items seemed excessive but it was vacation so we splurged.) My youngest who had just learned to walk left the store with her $30 stuffed duck and 30 seconds later tripped and dropped it in the fountain with the real ducks! Watching this, people around said "Oh no, go back. Surely they will help you switch it at the little store." My husband went in and came right back and said "the lady is very unpleasant, will you please do it?" So I go in and Gladys (who had also been rude while I was checking out) comes and literally starts yelling at me that it is damaged and she is not going to take it back. The customer next to me actually tells her "Stop shouting at her!" Because it was so unbelievable. I just asked a question. If it isn't their policy, that is understandable but to shout at me for asking is completely unacceptable. I asked for the phone number of the owner which she refuses to give me for a while because she realizes the way she just treated me. She gives it to me in the end because the other customers are watching in disbelief at her behavior. I end up trashing the wet duck because we weren't going to take a wet duck on our 8 hour drive in our car. It took me a while to call the owner back because we were on our way to vacation. Upon my arrival home, I called the owner, Julie Lansky. I start telling her the story and Gladys has obviously told her something (false) already to cover up for her behavior because the best she can say is: "They were probably ruder than they should have been." RudER than they should have been? So they should be rude to customers for asking a question? I proceeded to tell her how I wasn't upset about the policy but the way I was treated but she would not own up to Gladys' behavior and ended by saying "I'm not going to say anything to you because nothing I say will satisfy you." Actually, Julie, a simple sorry you were treated this way would have sufficed. I plan to write a letter to the Peabody owners so they will reconsider not renewing a lease to an unprofessional business who will give them a terrible name. They might not be apart from The Peabody, but it still reflects on them. Several of the workers and our sweet Capriccio waitress from that morning who had passed by and had seen what happened say that this is common behavior with Gladys and I can see it stems down from ownership and lack of accountability. The saddest part of this was my tiny daughter crying about her duck. All this to say, if you want a souvenir while you are there, purchase the ones at The Peabody's Bakery and Dessert store. They have the rubber and stuffed ducks with the hotel name and even Duckmaster tshirts for the little ones. (We would have spent half the money on more aesthetically pleasing souvenirs if only we had found this first.) Not to mention the lovely workers there are held to the highest Standards of Peabody conduct. Hopefully this review will save someone the trouble.
