Awesome location! .l A must see while in San Diego! Located in historic Spanish Colonial Park. Preparing gourmet creamy espresso beverages, artisan croissants, iced coffees, tropical pitaya fruit bowl, teas, and ice blend cold coffees and fruit smoothies made using real frozen fruit in every cup! Take a stroll through a world of art here and see all the cool colors as you stroll through the patio.

Great spot for a quick coffee and checking out the local art.
A beautiful morning we walked down and got in a well established line to get a coffee.
They have military discount and we put in our order.
There is a little wait as only 3 people working this little stand.
Worth the wait.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Connor T T.San Diego, CA01Apr 6, 2024

The most adorable little coffee stand hidden inside Balboa Park! This place is such a hidden gem but it deserves so much more love.
The environment is absolutely gorgeous -- so colorful and cheerful -- and the drinks are amazing as well! I got a strawberry horchata latte. I probably could've done without the coffee (it was my second caffeinated drink of the day), but it was still delicious and perfectly sweet. The workers here are so friendly and kind!
Highly recommend stopping here for a midday drink if you're touring the area! You won't regret it :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anthony Z.Manhattan, NY043Apr 19, 2024
I love all of their options but my two fave drinks are the Java Chip frappe and the Mango Pineapple smoothie. They also have fun seasonal drinks and they just started offering a delicious Tropical bowl. The best part about Daniel's, though, are the warm and friendly people who work there. And Daniel himself is a true gem of a human being.

We were looking around trying to find a new coffee spot and decided to try this one. Didn't even pay attention to the fact that it was in Balboa Park. So that being said we had a bit of a time finding parking. I recommend going early to find parking. Anyway when we arrived it was in a small little area of where there is art displays made to look like the streets of Spain. I think it's called Spanish Villa Art Center . Such cute little studios and the pavement with a patchwork of colors. A nice place to sit and talk with family and friends.
We kept looking around for it and then said " Oh is a small food truck" I said well we're here so let's try it anyway. You know I'm super glad I did. I ordered the Bishoff Cookie Crumble latte. Wow was that good. It came with a sweet cream on top that was at least an inch thick. Yummmmy. The drink itself was so great. It wasn't milky and I could taste the espresso in the drink. I hate milky lattes. You could taste the flavor it intended it to be as well. The cookie was ground fine and sprinkled on top. My grandson got the Peanut Butter blended drink. I stole a sip and there was definitely peanut butter in there with a generous amount of whipped cream. There was some peanut butter on the rim which he also loved . My daughter got the lavender chai latte and that also was creamy and delicious. I tasted lavender and chai and it was like a hug in a cup. I will definitely come back here again on a sunny day but very early to find good parkingHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 26, 2024
Adorable little coffee stand located in Balboa Park! Menu isn't too extensive but what they have on it is fantastic. Ordered the Iced Gingerbread Latte & the Iced Mexican Mocha both with oat milk and they were delicious! Love that there are different milk options too. The baristas were friendly & efficient and we were lucky that the drinks came out very fast since we came midday on a weekday. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area feel like having a beverage with a cute view.

Service & drinks 10/10
The girl at the register was friendly and helpful.
The menu selection is not very large but they have a variety of items to choose from.
It is centrally located in the back of the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. You walk through very creative and cutely decorated spaces and art shops. The titles leading to the coffee stand intrigued my little one and made it fun to walk to.
What we tried: Cookie frappe with the girl said was like the mocha frappe but with cookies! Super delicious and contains coffee this was my drink and I would definitely order it again!
Strawberry horchata, super tasty, fresh and such a great blend! My sister enjoyed it very much and I tasted it as well. Definitely a must try!
Last but not least the mixed berry smoothie, toddler approved, contains milk and very flavorful.
Overall, this coffee stand is a must try when coming to Balboa Park.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 4, 2023
Absolutely love this place.
A neatly designed coffee cart in the middle of Spanish Art Village in Balboa Park. Perfect place to spot by for a refreshing caffeine fix on a hot day. The menu is extensive, offering original coffee specialities such as lattes, espressos, mochas, and frappes. They also sell lemonades, teas, and bakery goods.
I got the strawberry horchata latte as a large for around $6. I almost sucked it right up, it was so creamy and refreshing. There are few tables to sit by and it's in a great area. Very aesthetic and humble, the baristas are also so nice and accommodating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Riya K.Northern California, CA12121Mar 22, 2024
We got to the cart at almost 5PM, well past their closing time. But we always love getting Daniel's every time we visit Balboa. The lovely Tristan made us two delicious drinks, the Mexico Mocha and the Lavender Chai. Both are amazing, and we would recommend getting them half sweet, hot or iced. Tristan also gave us an almond croissant on-the-house. The cart is located in the stunning arts center, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The ambiance of the courtyard and the delightful staff at Daniel's Coffee Cart ensure that we will keep coming back for years to come.

A hidden gem in Balboa's Spanish Village Art Center! This humble coffee cart brews up one of the tastiest coffees I've had. I get the Korean Iced coffee when I visit the art village and I'm always pleasantly surprised by the bold and creamy flavors. Daniel's coffee has a large menu with speciality lattes, iced teas, and lemonades along with pastries and small bites to snack on while admiring the local art. On the weekends, the coffee cart can get busy so I recommend going earlier in the day or visiting the art village on a week day. The staff is always kind and I have yet to visit again for the fourth time and see what seasonal drinks they have!
