Edit to review as I went again for the first time in 3 years, and the location in the Design District is closed now. Dadeland is the only one I know of in the Miami area.
We went on a Tuesday night. Pretty slow. We could have sat inside or outside, but we sat inside. Our waiter, Fernando, was amazing! We LOVED him!
For appetizers we ordered the green papaya salad (it's a little spicy). It was super good! We also ordered a potato dosa. Super yummy. We polished those off like we hadn't seen food in days!
For dinner I had the turmeric marinated fish curry (mahi mahi in a yellow curry with zucchini slices). It came with a side of rice. My son ordered the Iberia roasted pork. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes. Oh! My! Gawd! They were both AMAZING! The pork was honestly the best! It has a star fruit sauce on top. Unbelievable! We also had some garlic naan.
I had a glass of wine and my son had a beer. We got a date cake to go. Altogether our bill was $137. I hope that I don't wait another 3 years before going back again.
Old review below I'm pretty sure it's a review of the store in the design district though.
Absolutely delicious!
Make reservations. They get very busy and you will have to wait, sit at the bar, or sit outside if you don't have a reservation.
Start off with the crispy cauliflower. It's the best! After that, everything on the menu is yummy. The menu changes seasonally. I love that they grow some of their herbs and spices.
Waiters and bartenders are friendly and professional. Host seems a bit snobby.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 17, 2024
Decided to try this place with a friend for dinner after hearing so many great things about it. We made a reservation for 8:30pm and once we arrived at 8:20 we waited maybe 5 min and our table was ready. The hostess was very kind and seated us promptly.
The restaurant was full but the servers were very attentive. Our server was very nice and patient with us as we explained it was our first time and we were deciding between a few things.
We opted to start with the crispy broccoli dish which was full of flavor and crunch, the truffle Brie naan which was rich and full of cheesy goodness, and the trio of samosas (we got one of each) my favorite samosa was the Yukon potato. Every starter was delicious and I would get them again
For mains we ordered the tandoor chicken which was juicy and flavorful and the chicken tikka masala which was rich and delicious. The star of the show was the avocado bhatura which was crispy and fried to perfection. Dipping it into the masala was a heavenly experience.
Overall the food was great, the restaurant had a homey and inviting atmosphere and the service was incredible. I will return and I will give the recommendation to friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 20243 check-ins
We chose Ghee Indian Kitchen to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for an extraordinary evening. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere exuded charm and sophistication, creating a wonderful backdrop for our special occasion.
Our dining experience kicked off with the Smoked Lamb Neck, a dish that left us speechless with its tender texture and rich, smoky flavor. The Green Papaya Salad provided a refreshing contrast, with its vibrant mix of flavors and textures that awakened our taste buds.
The Crispy Broccoli was a delightful surprise, offering a crunchy exterior giving way to perfectly cooked florets, while the Vegetarian Dosa was a true work of art, filled with a delicious medley of vegetables and spices that danced on our palates.
No Indian feast is complete without classics like Chana Masala, and Ghee Indian Kitchen certainly delivered. The hearty chickpea stew was bursting with aromatic spices, elevating it to a whole new level of deliciousness.
And let's not forget the accompaniments - the Papadum and Chutney provided a delightful crunch and burst of flavor, while the Garlic Naan and Ghost Pepper Cheddar Naan were the perfect vehicles for savoring every last bit of sauce and curry.
Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that each dish was presented with care and attention to detail.
Ghee Indian Kitchen surpassed our expectations with its impeccable cuisine, inviting ambiance, and exceptional service. It's the kind of restaurant where every dish tells a story, and every bite leaves you craving more. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Indian flavors, Ghee Indian Kitchen is an absolute gem that deserves all the praise. We can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again!
Thank you, Ghee Indian Kitchen, for making our anniversary celebration truly unforgettable!Helpful 10Thanks 3Love this 6Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2024
Was craving some masala chai, and I've been hearing about this place, so decided to come check it out.
The masala chai ($5) came served in a cute teapot, very aethetically pleasing. The taste was good, not too sweet, decently spiced.
Papaya salad ($15) was really refreshing it being light and crunchy. Whoo it still had quite a spicy kick. The server said all the dishes were mild spicy type but because the burn still lingered on my tongue I would say it was more mild-moderate (almost gochujang level). 5/5
The kerala lamb curry ($24) was decent. The lamb was soft and had a braised/stewed texture. Good taste, no complaints. 4/5
Ghost pepper naan ($11)--I can see why this is a favorite. Definitely never had this before with crispy dough enveloping spicy gooey cheese. 5/5
Seating available inside and outside. I made a reservation just in case online which has you include your credit card and charges you if there's last minute cancellations. Parking available in the building garage and Ghee does validate your parking.
All in all, this place was pretty pricey for the small portions but the quality and taste made it worth it for me.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11033743772Apr 11, 20243 check-ins
Came here for our anniversary dinner, and I have to say it was one of the best meals I have had in recent history. Our server, Juan, was very attentive and provided excellent service.
Since it was our anniversary, we thought go big or go home. We ordered a nice bottle of Cab as our beverage. As for the food, I really wanted to order one of everything. They do have a very nice tasting menu, which I would love to back and try, but being that my partner in crime is vegetarian, I figured it would not be worth it for us. For the starters, we got the green papaya salad, potato dosa, crispy broccoli, and papadum. The green papaya salad was so fresh that the Indian spices danced in your mouth. It was so good and satisfying we got another order to go. The crispy broccoli was just that. It's super crispy and had this nice sticky sauce on it. The potato dosa was good and flavorful.
For the mains, I could not resist the smoked lamb neck. My partner in crime ordered the Chana masala. We also got the ghost paper cheddar Naan and the garlic Naan. May seem like a lot of food...and it was! The smoked lamb neck was so incredibly tender with a rich sauce. I was in food heaven. The ghost pepper Naan was not what I was expecting. It was like a Naan quesadilla or a Naan grilled cheese. They did not skimp on the cheese at all! The garlic Naan was crispy but lacking one thing...garlic. it had very little to no garlic flavor.
If you go and order the smoked lamb neck, do yourself a favor and have the papaya salad with it. The tangieness of the salad will help cut the richness of the meat. You can thank me later.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 209241335Apr 16, 2024
Great flavors and atmosphere! We came here for a work dinner and enjoyed sitting outside. Food arrived to our table relatively quickly (and it was moderately busy) and we all enjoyed our orders.
I had the chicken wings and tuna snack items. They were a decent portion size and I enjoyed them both.
I'll definitely return next time I'm in town.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 20241 check-in
Refined Indian.
Not so much the rustic, intense curries at some other joints, but refined, perfect for someone new to Indian Cuisine.
In that sense, it was a little lacking for me... Smaller menu, more pedestrian dishes.
But that's okay, the food was awesome. Great flavors. Not made right then, a little pre-prepared ready to serve. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the event.
No Kingfisher the day I went, settled for an India Pale Ale that the server said was "Indian"? They do have full wine and cocktails.
Niven Patel has a few joints around my hood Orno, Mamey.. they are all fabulous, great chefs at his places, using everything they can from Rancho Patel - his farm in the Redlands.
He is the only chef in Miami doing this, and having a self sustaining farm that supplies your own produce should be the model for restaurant entrepreneurs in the MIA.
I salute this concept, and Niven.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 20242 check-ins
The food was delicious, the company was excellent and the service was good! I highly recommend reservations because the restaurant gets very busy. Two of us had the samosa appetizer (we choose potato, paneer and chicken), paneer, channa marsala and naan. Everything was good. The samosas were a little spicy and came with two dipping sauces. For dessert, we shared the rice pudding.
I also had a strawberry lassi. It was thick and sweet. I kept adding water to it. I wouldn't get it again.
We parked in the parking garage which is below the street. The restaurant validated the parking so I didn't have to pay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 11, 2024
Fabulous Michelin Indian restaurant, worthy of their accolades! The ingredients are grown in Chef Patel's farm in Homestead.
We loved every dish - packed with bold flavors and aromatics. We enjoyed the tuna bhel puri, green papaya salad with peanuts and pomegranate, crispy broccoli (like manchurian), backyard pakora, short rib dosa with coconut chutney and sambar, Hakka noodles with lamb served in a takeout container, ghost pepper cheddar naan with apple chutney (with mustard seeds and amchur), achari lamb ribs, Kerala lamb coconut curry, sticky toffee cake with ginger ice cream
Great spot and we recommend to everyone! Loved the steel plates and yellow garlands for a colorful ambience. Friendly service. Free parking in garage underneath (restaurant validates the parking)Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 1 - 3860356May 4, 20241 check-in
Saw this place online and had to stop by! Indian and Michelin Guided? Yes please!!! This was a cute little spot across from Dadeland Mall that I have no idea how I didn't know about until now. Very artistic yes Indian vibe. Attentive staff and some great dishes. We came for it all!! We arrived 5 minutes before the end of Happy Samosa, so we had to start with the $2 samosas. We had one of each and they were all delicious. My favorites were the Lamb and the Paneer. Next we had an order of the Papadum and Chutney. My only complaint was that I wish it came with a variety of chutneys and not just the sweet onion. Now the fun really started with the Chef's Tasting Menu. You can add on a wine tasting for $35 more pp, but we decided to save all of our room for the food!! We had 6 snacks, 6 mains and 2 desserts. Everything was well done and so flavorful. I asked if it was possible to increase the heat level next time and unfortunately you cannot. I would have loved the same dishes just with a little more kick! For the snacks, we subbed the Potato Dosa for their Short Rib Dosa...I recommend this move. The star snacking for me was the Crispy Broccoli. Kind of a take on manchurian gobi...sooooo good!! For the mains, my favorites were the Kerala Lamb Curry and the Dal Makhani. Last up was dessert. We had Coconut Kheer and their signature item, Sticky Date Cake. OMG let me tell you if you don't come here for anything but this cake you will not be disappointed. Hands down one of the best desserts I have had! The cake came with a ginger ice cream that was out of this world and was topped with Jaggery, a brown sugary caramel like glaze that took this over the top! This was definitely a great find and a hidden gem near Kendall that is a must try!

The food here is so flavorful! Very surprising to see from an Indian restaurant located in a stylish plaza such as Dadeland. The chicken tikka masala just melts in your mouth!
Inside is heavily aromatic of all the curries cooking in the kitchen. However we sat outside and enjoyed the cool weather with the nice decorations and lights.
Service is nice, we received constant refills of water and our waiter answered all of our questions of the menu.
I took off one star due to serving sizes, I wish the portions were bigger for the prices we paid. But other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed dining hereHelpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0
