Queen Mother’s Kitchen

Ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich and it was so delicious! Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches i've ever had. The girl who took our order was very nice and answered all the questions we had! The restaurants in this area have only outdoor seating which is no problem. We took these to the 1750 shops underground across the street which has some indoor seating and tables and ate them there. Besides the sand which we got the duck fat fries and some mother sauce and they were so good and the perfect crispness. The sauce was also delicious on the sandwich. After we ate we were thinking about when we can come back again since it was so good!

I tried Queen Mother's Kitchen for a quick lunch while I was in the office. I ordered at the kiosk and it was ready 5 minutes later.

The sandwich was delicious and not too spicy. The surrounding park is cute, with tons of seating, and a great place to meet friends.

You will find this food kiosk in the trendy Crystal City Water Park. There is metered street parking and commercial parking garages within a reasonable walking distance.

They have a menu small based on chicken sandwiches. I got a Virginia Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich with a side of potato salad. Just like most of teh restaurants in the park, the food is a bit pricey.

There are a few tables on the side of kiosk to eat and lots more, with some scenic views in the park. I had no problem getting a seat at the tables on the side of the kiosk, but I did share the table with other diners though. But I do recommend getting there before the lunch rush.

It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. The sandwich was ok. It was a bit dry and could have benefitted from more honey butter which was very savory by itself. The potato salad was horrible. It was some of the worst potato salad that I have ever had. It was very bland and had no flavor or taste whatsoever. I could not even finish it.

This restaurant is ok, but given the many other restaurants at Water Park, I would probably explore those before I come back here.

Was in the area and wanted to try more of the food spots in the area. Unfortunately, not a lot of places were open, so I went with this spot.

I wasn't as hungry, so I just got the duck nuggs and fries. No complaints! but nothing our of the ordinary!

Pretty pricey! and wait is somewhat long, so keep in mind to make sure you're not in a rush when you order here.

Food came out fresh. only one sauce comes with your tender combo and honestly small portions for the price of $15 per combo. Chicken was nice and juicy and definitely well tenderized. Fries had a little bit of paprika on them.
Sauce seemed to resemble shake shack sauce, more than Rasing Canes sauce, and honestly, a little bit less flavorful than Shack's Sauce. Only outdoor seating and no mac & cheese unlike the other location that is bigger. Outdoor seating was clean and nice outdoor ambiance. Staff was willing to help. Wish they gave out free ketchup and cooked 100% in fat not canola oil.

The hard part is parking but there is a parking garage across the street. This is for eating outside so if the weather is good then it's great to catch a quick bite. Service is a cashier or kiosk, but remember, it's a quick bite with friends. The food is good but can get a little messy ( mostly sandwiches), but there's a public restroom nearby to wash your hands. Both the Virginia honey butter chicken sandwich and duck fat fries are flavorful.

Was in the area so definitely had to stop by, Queen Mother's Kitchen. 10/10 per usual. These duck fat fries are growing on me.

I visited Queen Mother's Kitchen at the National Landing Waterpark for lunch today. I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich which includes buffalo sauce, cole slaw, and dill pickles, on a brioche bun. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the brioche bun was fresh, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered the duck fat fries and requested the mother sauce. The duck fat fries are crispy and well seasoned, absolutely delicious.

The wait is finally over!

Queen Mother's has finally reopened at the new dining destination, National Landing Water Park.

This new venue reminds me of an outdoor food hall that you would see at a European market.

I ordered the Virginia Honey Butter chicken sandwich that was dripping with butter allowing for you to have the perfect bite each and every time. I also I ordered the infamous duck fat French fries which I devoured within minutes.

Not your standard chicken sandwich. At first I thought 'a bit over-priced' but I've now been back 3 more times. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've sunk my teeth into. I have had the Queen Mothers Classic, the Honey butter, and the Buffalo. My favorite is the Southern Honey Butter. I recommend getting the 'sauce' on the side, especially the honey butter even if you are eating it there. Also, have plenty of napkins, a knife and fork, or a hand washing sink near by when you eat it! As for those duck fat fries, the seasoning is perfect... the lemon pepper ketchup is an awesome dipper. I order extra and toss them in my air fryer later - potato crack!

This is not necessarily fast food but it is cooked right and is worth the wait. OR you can order ahead on Toast. Good for takeout if you get the sauces in the side but best right out of the kitchen!

Finding this place may not be the easiest as they don't have their own space but share space inside the Kitchen of Purpose. The sign is often prone on the sidewalk, just know that they are in the corner of South Lincoln Street and Columbia Pike in Arlington. Park on S. Lincoln and walk around the corner.

Queen of Mothers might be my new go to chicken spot. I usually go to Chick Fil A but after discovering Queen Mother's I don't think I'll be going back. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is mouth watering. Perfect blend of spicy mixed with tangy sweet. What I appreciate the most is the chicken breast sandwiches are very filling. You will be full by eating one sandwich unlike chick fil a. Their duck fat fries are delicious. Do yourself favor and try out this new spot in Crystal City!
