I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, but some times it's just necessary. Today I placed an order at noon online. My order was for $143.08. I was so excited because it's my sisters birthday and we've been craving crab legs. I was referred to this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it.
Upon arrival, I parked on the side of the building and waited until 12:36, when my order said it would be ready. I got there a little early because I have my newborn baby with me and didn't want to rush. In my online order, I selected curbside pick up. Once my online order was approved, they sent me a confirmation text with a link to notify them of my arrival. I then waited in my car to the order to come out.
Around 12:40 I began to call to see if someone could bring it out- remember my newborn is with me, and I didn't want to have to unload her in the rain to go inside. No one is answering. At 12:45 I decide to take her out of the car and go to the door. The lights are off and the door is locked.
What is more upsetting than the $143.08 is the waste of time. I drove 30 minutes here and waited over 30 minutes for nothing. This was a miserable experience with a newborn who was just crying the entire time because she needed changed and fed. What a great birthday for my sister.

My husband surprised me with a crab boil and seafood macaroni and cheese. It was absolutely delicious!!! Seasoned so well and my gosh those potatoes were soooo good. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend if you are a seafood lover like myself.

A pop-up event was held in Trenton, NJ, which unfortunately experienced a delay of two hours, despite a text notification sent out a few hours beforehand to inform customers. Regrettably, neither of the texts contained an apology for the inconvenience caused. Upon arrival, the food was found to be lacking in seasoning, with the seafood notably not fresh. The ready-to-eat shrimp, steamed in old bay seasoning, were disappointingly rubbery, and the crab legs appeared to be past their prime. This experience left me immensely disappointed and dissatisfied.

My husband and I travelled from Gainesville, Va on his birthday looking forward to eating some delicious seafood. Unfortunately, we experienced the exact opposite. Upon arriving at the Brandywine location, we ordered over $100 dollars worth of food and waited 45 mins for the food to brought out to us at which it was cold... we explained this to the server who took the food back to "warm up". We waited an additional 25-30 min for our food to come back out which was "Luke warm" at best. At this point we decided to ask for a refund and leave. Also to be noted there were 3 other couples that complained about cold food. And I must say that upon arriving at 2:30pm they were out of blue crabs, fried rice, sausage, and ice. Suggestion Crab Boss... dedicate as much time as you spend on your pop ups as your restaurant In Brandywine!

As a restaurant owner at the very least you could notify customers of wait times. Dine in customer should have priority over mobile delivery orders. The audacity to feel entitled to my money after you told me that after I've been waiting for 25 mins that my order would be ready in 5 mins and still take another 20.
To wait 51 mins for steamed crabs and shrimp is beyond ridiculous. Then to refuse my refund request after you failed to deliver on meal that I no longer have time to eat is trifling, disrespectful, and disgusting.
It's also unfortunate because I was there in the beginning but I promise I will never darken the door another Crab Boss establishment again. Also, Amex has been called. Play with somebody else. You don't get to keep the food and my money. Take your money to crafty crab. I experienced the crab boss traveling to Norfolk,Va. my buss down jimmys were everything that he has advertised. I am overly pleased. I also love the energy and excitement he gives So more pull ups to Norfolk,Va. don't be afraid to come during the week. Best boiled crabs coming from a steamed crab lover.

I have been following Crab Boss for several months. I was excited to learn that they drive to different states. When I heard they were coming to Brooklyn I was ready to order. I did have concerns since they were going to New Haven, CT and Brooklyn, NY. Nevertheless I was still excited Brooklyn "pull up" was scheduled for 4pm 12/16/23. I placed my order online as told to do, what I wanted did not show up so I decided to get the Curry Crab. Around 2pm I received a text stating time and place has changed. New pick up time 6:30 ok np I could do that since I have an event at 7pm in Brooklyn. I leave home at 5:30 I am now in Brooklyn at 6pm not close to the location but I'm in Brooklyn. At 6:15pm I get another text stating "we apologize for the inconvenience we are stuck in traffic in CT we will arrive at 8pm." Ok now I'm frustrated so I ask for refund. I'm told a refund will be processed. Now that time is screwed up cause there is no need to go to my event this early. So I I tell them I could still come. Great! I arrive at the location I spot the van there are about 4 people ahead of me. The owner apologized stating "we do not do business like this." Remember the original pickup time was 4pm. He goes on about the traffic. So I said to him this is holiday time, New York has traffic every day. He said what holiday? I said Christmas you have people from CT, the five boroughs holiday shopping, Rockefeller Tree, and Traffic. Well now I tell him what I ordered the young lady working with him states I think they gave your food to someone in CT. So I'm offered what I originally wanted because at this time they don't think the other customer is going to show up. Ok I take the order it's 9pm so I decided to save my food for later. Food crabs smelled old, could not taste the seasoning. There was one lady who had been to the actual restaurant and stated everything was great. Unfortunately this was not my experience. FYI if you are going to do two states on a busy weekend perhaps you could have a team go to one and the other one to the second location. I forgot to take a picture.

This review is solely based off of 1/2 pound of mussels I ordered. While they were cooked properly and seasoned to perfection, you only get about 5 (maybe 6) green mussels. For me, I was thinking it would be a 1/2 pound of black mussels which would have been more mussels. Needless to say, I will return back to try other things from the menu. Again, they were cooked and seasoned well!

Man!!! I live in Mo County and I drove out here and wanted to try the seafood platter that has been all over Instagram! So I came here right when the store opened because I heard of the lines this location, as well as the new DC location can have! I was waiting in the parking lot for 5 mins and there was already 4 other cars there waiting for the store to open too! Haha
When I first walked in? Super clean! Decor on point!!! The staff greeted me and assisted me with my order to make sure I got all that I needed!
The other customers already knew what they were getting! And when I tell you they raved about everything this place has on the menu? They ordered more than what I did!! I did the Lil boss platter and drove back home to enjoy this mean! The restaurant is open for dine in but I wanted to devour it at home! The platter was soooooo good! I mean the sauce is tasty and it came with lobster, snow crab, shrimp! And the seafood was clean and fresh!
I didn't get a chance to meet the cool owner of the place because he worked in the DC location but I heard nothing but good things about the man! This location in Maryland has pretty good food. I visited here about three years or so ago on my lunch break. My co workers and I ordered ahead of time but there was still a long wait when we got there. The place was newly opening and the inside was clean. I haven't visited this location since that time. But I want to talk about the DC location which is always out of food. They hype their day parties up on social media and it's never popping. The food isn't hyped up to what they try to make it to be on social media. The rooftop is ok.
