Only open two days a month. Privately owned and doesn't charge a fee. It is basically a storage warehouse for their toys they allow the rest of us to see twice a month. Latest visit had very little. I guess they have sold a bunch of things. The word is they maybe moving their warehouse to Lakeway or Airport Boulevard. They tend to post on FB when they are going to be open. Always good to confirm though. We have come a few times and they were closed. However, it is free and they don't have to do it at all! I do hope they get some new things in and we can continue to enjoy this place in their new location.

A young man was giving an informal tour. He kept saying we should come back the 1st or 3rd Saturday of the month to get the full tour. They have the painted guitars and cows that were fund raisers in Austin in the past. They have motorcycles. They have a Russian ship. They have all sorts of cars. Overall more there than I was expecting. My father enjoyed the place and that is what matters. I will be back for the full tour in the future. I am glad they were part of the Museum Day or I may not have known of them for awhile.

Only open two days a week and then I find it's closed for updates and repairs. Your telling me you can't find time during the other 28 days a month your closed to do your repairs. Very disappointing considering my dad and I drove over an hour to go see it.
What a waste of a day.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - South A.Waco, TX02447Jun 1, 2018
The website is gone. The phone is busy. And no posts on the FB page since 2017. Seems CLOSED to me.

If you're a car enthusiast, or even if you're not, this is a fun museum to visit. There's a wide range of cars, as well as motorcycles, other vehicles and assorted vintage candy machines and more. We had a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who made the tour interesting and informal which was great. Make sure you check the hours since the museum is only open 2 days a month. It's always nice to discover little treasures off the beaten path. This is one of them!
