Very charming little space in Brooklyn. Black owned and operated. I came here to meet some friends during a weekday.

They have a cozy inside space, and outdoor dining available with heat, a plus for those chilly NY nights. You can basically choose where you'd like to sit and order either online or inside.

They have specials listed on their Instagram. That night was doubles either veggie or with fried chicken. Unfortunately, that was all they had to offer in terms of food but we were ok with that as i assume they are more known for their drinks. The doubles were ok. I am pretty biased though, as doubles are some of my fav things to eat especially after being in Trinidad. It's hard to come by good doubles in the states. My friends really enjoyed it though. We each had one, and wanted to grab one more but by that time they were out of food. Bummer. I didn't get to have anything but i had a good time.

Update: came here 6.18 and had a blast! The bartender Steven was very cool and hooked me up. I had the mezcal and tequila frozen cocktail and it was delicious. I also had the chips and guac which was fresh and delicious. The service was great. All the ladies working were cute and very sweet. The music was lit and the vibes were great.

Ode To Babel is home. Here you will run into so many friends and family. It is a small establishment with big hearts and great service. The music is always the best and the drinks are too!! They will be relocating soon but the memories created here will remain! Shoutout to Black owned businesses and the women behind my favorite place to party with friends!

So, I finally got into the infamous Ode to Babel. 1. This is Black owned. 2. It's woman owned. Bigger plus. It's a great vibe if you want to meet and dance with folks. They have outdoor tables but be prepared to stand. It's a bit too crowded for me but I see the appeal. It took me like 20 minutes to get drinks and that's after shoving past tons of people. It's extremely popular but I'm an impatient gal. I like immediate gratification.

If you remember voodoo lounge in Bedstuy, one of the bartenders from there and Casablanca works there. It was so crowded we couldn't get shaken cocktails. It was choose your booze, choose your chaser. If that's your thing check it out.

      Block women owned bar!
This lounge understood the assignment. Good drinks, good music, & fun people. We sat outside in the patio area because it was extremely packed and hot inside.
You have to show your vaccine card upon entry which is a good thing. I'll definitely be back.

Visited Brooklyn for a quick weekend trip! As with all my visits, my loved ones take me to all the cool spots. Visiting Ode to Babel was a treat!

Stopped by on an early Saturday afternoon. My friend went inside and I was outside taking a picture of the sign. The owners (two ladies) happened to be outside and informed me of the private event. Very nice ladies and they encouraged us to come back at 4.

We came back and we sat outside at a table in the corner. There was a dj inside playing Afro beats and we ordered a rum drink with fresh fruit juices reminiscent of a rum punch. We ordered sliders and hummus as well. All delicious. I'm not sure how many rum drinks we had but as the music continued to play and more people gathered outside, it was a whole vibe! It reminded me of a block party! It was 70 degrees and sunny so it was a great day to be out in Brookyn!

Definitely coming back when I visit again!

Ode to Babel is a vibe. At the height of Covid when bars where closed they were my weekly delivery cocktails.

Once they were able to reopen there is always a great vibe with a friendly staff and great drinks. Definitely worth getting together with friends for drinks

      PEST CONTROL!!!

The front and back patio are laden with rats. Love this place for its amazing signature cocktails and unique vibe.

Please get an exterminator to handle the rat situation.

We literally had to run from the front patio after 3 huge rats scurried across the sidewalk. We then go to the back patio and notice this horrible dead rat smell and see another rat climbing the wall.

Management needs to take care of this.

How did I end up here? I keep riding past this spot on my way home wonder what the hell is going on! All these good looking brown and black people taking over the side walk with their fine selves! I didn't stop but went home freshed up and walked right over there are found myself eating and drinking with two good friends. It was definitely a nice vibe. The bartender was generous and the drink was tasty. The music was great and over all a good experience. I didn't dance as it was super crowded in doors and out but I plan to come back very soon!

Not the best shot but gives you a glimpse of the outside vibe.

A vibe. I've been trying to get here for quite some time. But the featured DJ was good and this is a common spot for a good time. Drinks were good and bartenders were very attentive.
