Established in 2019. Drew and I met at Copper Onion over 10 years ago. We dated for 8 years and got married. We both knew we wanted to own a restaurant and here we are! Building our life and dream together. We’ve been researching spaces for years and this one finally became available. We began the remodel in October of 2018 and opened on February 26, 2019. Oquirrh is the mountain range to the west. We chose the name Oquirrh because of our love for mountains. Wasatch is always used and Oquirrh not as much and we watch these amazing sunsets everyday..

The food is fabulous! Our service was amazing! Do not miss this restaurant! We enjoyed appetizers and dessert with our meal! The menu changes occasionally and they were working on a Valentine menu. Wish I were still there to try it! This was my second visit and I was not disappointed either time! Enjoy!!!

This place was awesome. Lots of a very good entrees. Not a lot for vegetarians, but the buccatini was quite good, and everyone at my table was absolutely raving about the halibut.
The service was very friendly, and overall it was a very enjoyable meal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2024
first off service was super fast and they were nice.
i was able to make and mange reservations online no problem.
order the burger mainly because if foie gras aioli. it was good. the hashbrown looked crunchy but side was still soft. wish it was cooked an lil longer.
they have a great dinner menu i wish i was able to order chicken pot pie for brunch. i was only in town for real quick and chose to eat here for breakfast.
note: you can order drinks starting at 10:30.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - April P.Arlington, VA129Jan 4, 2024
I got the rigatoni and it was soooo delicious. The sausage and fennel added a lot of dimension. The pasta is made daily in-house. And you can tell.
The ambiance is intimate and warm. Perfect for a snowy evening meal.
Our server was prompt, professional, and sincere. He even did a two minute check back after we received our food. It made me feel taken care of!
Everything was perfect! I'll definitely be back.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 19, 2024
Everything was delicious! We had the beets and goat cheese salad and mussels as appetizers. Both were delicious! We got the steak over mashed potatoes and the chicken with farro and we got the pasta with meat sauce and had morels with it. Was fantastic!
The place is not fancy but it is really decent me dining! Service was excellent too! We left without having dessert but loved this place and will be back soon!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 5, 2024
Great food! Mostly full on a Friday night. Sourdough bread could use thicker-sliced radish to better savor radish flavor. Rigatoni was a touch salty for some but tasty for all. Airline Chicken very moist and flavorful - nothing like airline food, of course. Great dessert of chocolate budino with mousse and strawberry Thai basil ice cream and blackberries. Minor issues: in the dim lighting, the food looked a bit brown and bleached out and the menu was hard to read.

I wanted to update my previous (4-star) review and change it to a 5!!! Why? This place has blown my socks off the last few times I've come here. I've come here 4 times in the last 5 months and have enjoyed each time so much that I keep craving it every week.
The service has been absolutely impeccable recently and I love the food here with all my heart. Each time they change up the menu I am a bit sad that something I loved is taken off, but then I am always so delighted and impressed by what takes its place. All the people I've dined here with have also been so impressed by the food and we always have such a great time.
I love that the price points are never pretentious or ridiculous, the food is made with such care, the dishes are inspired and creative, and the portions super reasonable. Usually, at places with food this good in quality, the portions are disappointing and leave people hungry.
I think that the ambiance is so special here. It's cozy, romantic but not over-the-top, and quiet enough for a normal conversation. My boyfriend and I came here for an anniversary dinner and we both thought it was the perfect place for it.
Now on to the recommendations--
Rigatoni with vodka sauce that is gin-based-- SO GOOD. Must try before it rotates off the menu. Have it with the Elouan Pinot Noir and thank me later. Also, the pasta noodles here taste so fresh and like they make them in-house.
House Radiatore Pasta with Mushrooms-- One of my favorite pasta dishes in my life. I could eat this every day. The mushrooms they use are amazing and I also recommend this with the Elouan Pinot Noir.
Sourdough bread-- Theirs and Table X's sourdough breads are about the same in deliciousness and I can't choose a winner, but they are superior to all the other sourdough I've had.
Trout Hash brunch special 12/2/23-- I hope this dish stays in a constant rotation and is not only here for one weekend. I loved every part of this dish and it was so thoughtfully crafted. I want to literally eat this again tomorrow.
Oquirrh Salad-- so yummy and such a great portion size for a salad! I shared this as an appetizer with my boyfriend and the dressing was so unique. Definitely not a salad that I can simply make at home (which often happens with restaurant salads).
Dessert special of the night 12/1/23, an Italian chocolate pudding dish with honey-whiskey ice cream-- AMAZING. So different than what we can usually get for dessert elsewhere and the honey-whiskey ice cream was special.
I just can't recommend this restaurant enough.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Hi Rose, thank you for the feedback. I’ve sent you a direct message. Thank you!
Feb 21, 2023Previous reviewThe food here was INCREDIBLE. The spot is also really cute. It's an old building but they've made it into a very cute restaurant. I will go more into detail of the food below, but I do want to call out that the service was a bit odd and caused 4/5 stars overall.
There were two things about the service that made me want to take off a star. First, the waiter misheard me when I ordered sourdough and thought I said "salad." They brought us the salad (and left it on our table for 3 ish minutes) and since we didn't order it; we flagged him down later to ask about it. He said he thought I ordered salad, and I said "no, sourdough" so he took the salad away. I felt that in this situation, he should have just let us have the salad because they can't possibly serve that to another table if it had been sitting on our table for a few minutes already (safety concerns) so it would go to waste. Also, it was weird as a customer because then we were left waiting longer for the sourdough to show up.
Second, when we ordered dessert, we ordered 2 scoops of ice cream. The dessert menu clearly states, "1 scoop for $4, 2 scoops for $7" and when we got the check, they charged us 2x $4 rather than the 2 scoops for $7 as stated. I didn't feel like confronting them over $1, but the experience was further tarnished due to this staff mistake. At the end of the night, we just wondered if the waiter we got was undertrained.
Now, on to the delicious food. We got the sourdough and milk braised potatoes to share, and both were 5/5 in texture and taste. SO yummy, and the portions were appropriate.
For entrees, we had gotten the confit chicken pot pie and rigatoni with braised lamb. My chicken pot pie was a tad bit too salty, but not too bothersome. It was still delicious and had unique presentation. The rigatoni with lamb was really yummy, and the sauce is a bit spicy (but not too spicy). Each dish was thoughtfully made.
For dessert, we got 2 of their listed scoops of Normal ice cream, which is a local business in SLC that we love. The two flavors we got were Salted Vanilla Bean and Mint Condition. Both were spectacular.
We would absolutely want to come back, but hopefully, the service is better next time. - Sep 8, 20232 check-ins
So delicious. Small bathrooms and I loved the ambiance of a small well defined space. Everything is local and ethically sourced.
Service was incredibly friendly! I loved our server.
Crepe dessert and a pasta was a must!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 20, 2023
We came here for Sunday date night, and the atmosphere was nice as we were the first table to arrive, promptly seated by the window. The server was super friendly and attentive, properly pacing our meal and making sure our drinks were always filled.
We started out with some peach and champagne cocktails along with the house sourdough, which was some of the best bread I've ever had. We also split the Baby Gem Lettuce "Caesar," which had a unique taste with the paprika garnish.
For our entrees, my husband got the Frenched Pork Chop, which included a plum mostarda that complimented the pork well. I had the House Made Anelli Pasta, which had a super overpowering sauce and more accompaniments than pasta. I would try something else next time.
We paired our entrees with the hibiscus margarita, which was unique and delicious, and my favorite sip of the night, the limoncello, vodka, lime, and basil martini. We finished the night with a tart with a peach compote and ice cream on top, which was one of the best desserts I ever had.
The reason I gave this restaurant four stars is because although the food was high end, it was super overpriced, and my pasta was overpowering. The entrees range from $29-$63, the drinks from $10-$15, and the desserts were $14 each, making our two person meal with tip over $200. Regardless of price, I would recommend giving this place a try!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 56290184Jul 12, 2023
This place has been on a list for a while since it has a Jim Beard award! We liked the food but I think we should've come for dinner as it seems like that's what there better known for. BUT we got their Sunday brunch and it was still a good experience.
I think everyone's favorite part of the breakfast was the hash browns but their sweet options were great. The French toast banana pudding was so good and easy to be shared with everyone. The hangover pasta was recommended to us by a server but it definitely leans toward lunch/dinner than breakfast lunch.
Their drinks are super funky haha. The orange mimosa came out green because it has green glitter and it was so cute and fun. It still tasted like a regular mimosa though.
The place was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon and I didn't have any trouble getting a reservation for a big group. Parking is street parking and super easy!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2688230Aug 7, 2023
Love that their menu is seasonal and they partner with local artisan sources. Food was light but filling. We ordered four dishes for two people and it was perfect. I'm coming back in the winter for th chicken pot pie!
Also service was so good. Everyone was so nice. Bri, our server, was kind and always had a genuine smile!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
