Rachel’s 4-star review:
Since my first workout, I have been to about 6 or 7 classes: some at this location and some at the Tanglewood location and have some new knowledge to share with ya'll.
1) You have to buy your heartrate monitor for $70. Since no one mentioned this to me at my first class, I was under the impression they gave you one each time. If you forget yours, I think they do have rentals but you'll be charged for them and I saw one person getting a stern reminder about forgetting hers again.
2) The workouts are slightly different each time, but not a huge amount of variation. You can pretty much bank on rowing warmup, weights, squats, and planks on the floor, followed by treadmill running. (Or reverse if you start on the treadmill)
3) You have to book really far in advance. We don't drive out to the Tanglewood location by choice, we do it because this studio is always full. It's annoying.
But, despite the above:
4) The workouts will kick your butt every single time. Love it.
The memberships are more cost efficient - I think it's about $15 per session vs $18 when you buy a 10 pack - but I like the flexibility and it seems like a lot of the negative reviews on here are related to membership billing and canceling.
Management if you are reading this: please start providing towel service! Thanks!
